Unexpectedly adorable
Fit was a bit large. I normally wear a size 14 in most designer dresses. They were unable to ship the size 14 so I got this and a backup dress. The size 12 ended up working out perfectly. Enough room to sit comfortably before and after dinner and during the show we went to. Nice and warm for the coolish winter evening with the 3/4 inch sleeves. The color was gorgeous. Would definitely recommend this dress.

Perfect for Rehearsal Dinner!
I rented this for our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. It was quite cold out, so the long sleeves were perfect. I did not have a problem with the sleeves fitting snug. The dress fit very comfortably. The lace was a gorgeous clean white color and the quality was excellent. Both the size 12 and size 14 fit, however I went with the size 14 because we were having a large dinner that night.

Fun Dress for Bachelorette Party
I rented this for my bachelorette party. The dress fit well, but as others have said, the top sequin layer kept riding up showing the bottom layer constantly Also, the sequins started to irritate under my arms but it wasn't unbearable. I did not wear spanx or anything like it under this dress. It was not necessary. The dress was comfortable and was easy to sit in. It was short at times after walking around, but nothing that was irritating. Would rent again.

Too Small to Even Zip Up
I rented this dress for my bachelorette party. I went based on the review of other users that were similarly sized who stated that the size 12 fit them perfectly. This was not the case for me. The dress didn't zip up past my waist. The dress is wonderful and would have been perfect had it zipped up.

Other girls my size said it fit...it did not for me
I rented the Large and X-Large based on prior reviews by people my same size. Although the sizing always said that it fit small, the pictures showed/indicated that women with similar curves as mine were wearing these dresses just fine. I normally wear a size 12 (of course depending on the designer). I am definitely an hourglass figure with a mostly flat stomach...most of my weight is in my hips, rear end, and thighs. I tried on the XL first. When I put this dress on, it was so tight that it pushed all my fat to the front of the dress (where there is some give) making me look like i had a large stomach. I then tried on the Large thinking that it might work out better since it'll be tighter and less likely to have the give in the front. It worked out immensely better for the stomach situation, but was a bit too short for the event I was attending. In addition, it was tight under the arms. If you are okay with a bit of fat sticking out in certain places in the dress, or don't mind it being short, then this will work for you. I returned it and rented the old faithful David Meister - Picture Frame Sheath (in a size 12).

Just ok, Not my favorite Rental, Fit a bit large in the hips
I previously rented another SHOSHANNA (The Teal Pearl of Wisdom Dress) in a size 12, and when that didnt zip up over the waist, when it came time to rent this Shosanna, I decided to size up. Plus, they did not have a 12 available to rent. The dress was definitely too big. The color is ok, but I felt it is not as vibrant of a color as in the picture on the model. The dress flares out at the hips, although that might have been because the dress was too large. It made my hips look much larger than they are (and I don't need any help with that). I was able to get a backup dress in time for the event, because RTR rocks. Ended up renting the David Meister - Piicture Frame Sheath in a 12.

Hugs the curves, Provides some Give, Looks Elegant
I am normally between a size 12 and 14. Of course, every designer is different, so its a gamble on what size will be perfect. This was actually a backup dress as the other one I rented was too big. They only had a 12 available, and based on the reviews, I decided to give the 12 a chance. I'm glad I did. Although the 14 would have been a little more loose, I was happy that this was a bit more fitted. It was easy to sit in, the texture of the dress is beautiful (as others stated there is a texture to it), the neckline is so different from anything I have seen. There was some slight give in the dress, so it made it comfortable to sit for extended periods of time (up to an hour during a wedding ceremony at least). However, it was a bit difficult to dance in. The slit was a bit bothersome because it moved during the night, anywhere from the center to the right leg, but it wasn't annoying enough to keep from being happy with my choice. The other nice thing is you can wear this with any standard bra. I hate having to try and find a bra that will work properly.

Wasn't able to wear
Unfortunately I wasn't able to wear this dress. Gorgeous color, great look, and the bra snaps are a nice touch. Had hoped the size 12 would fit but the dress lining made it snug in my hips. I have a true hourglass shape. It fit as far as the bust and arm holes were concerned but it was unflattering because it made me look like I have a large stomach (definitely not where I carry my weight) due to it being tight in my hips.

True to Size, Fun Color, Comfortable
I wore this for our engagement photos (as pictured). I am usually between a size 12 and 14. The original dress I ordered didn't work out so this was a last minute backup plan and it worked out perfectly (if not better). The color is exactly as pictured. It is very comfortable. I chose to wear it without the belt, as a belt never helps with my curves...belts just make my hips look bigger. The dress has belt loops, but if you wear without the belt, you can barely see the belt loops as they basically look like part of the lace detailing.

Beautiful but not great for girls with hips
I ordered this dress to replace another dress that had not worked. They only had a size 10 available - I normally wear a size 12. The dress did not zip up past my chest. I pinned it together to see how it would look in the event that the right size would have come in. It really isn't that flattering on someone with hips. The way the dress falls on the sides makes the hips flare out a bit. This would be a great dress for a pear shape. Gorgeous dress, just not for me.

Like Others Said - Tight in the Bust area (at least for larger chests)
I ordered the size 10 and size 12. The size 10 fit in the hips and stomach areas (i had lots of room actually), but definitely wasn't going up over my bust area. So i tried on the size 12. Unfortunately, this also did not zip up over my chest area. I POTENTIALLY could have made it work but I wouldn't have been able to breathe. Again, the size 12 fit perfect in the hips and stomach area. This is a great dress for girls with hips that don't lie...because it really doesn't make your hips look any bigger. I can see this being very complimentary of any figure. If I could have gotten away with wearing this dress with it not zipped up all the way, I would have done so. Oh and a nice touch I haven't seen others mention is that the dress has snaps in the shoulders so that you can hook your bra in so it won't move. Nice touch.

A spectacular Law School Prom
Just as the others said, the fit was large. I normally wear a size 14L in formal wear, and ordered the 12L and the 10L. I was worried the 10L would be too small but it ended up working out MUCH better than the 12L. The length is just right, it just barely covers the feet when wearing flats (I wore flats) so I imagine with heels, you will probably see your shoes, but still a decent length. I would say one thing that did bother me was that being the zipper was on the side, and because I am all hips, the zipper lining stuck out weird. I would just push it down in the photos, and it didnt bother me otherwise. But for pictures, its a nuisance. The dress was incredibly comfortable with compliments received all night long. I would definitely recommend this product to someone who wants to be elegant and comfortable...especially after eating a nice meal.
