It was appropriate for a conservative family event and looked bridal enough without being stuffy. Clean lines and very Kate Middleton. I would rent this again.

Did NOT care for this dress, both the 0 and 2 were tight across the chest, and baggy the rest of the way. The 0 clung to my stomach and hips, so I wore the 2. Hit at an unflattering length too. The two zippers on the front were nice - wasn't aware of that detail - as the evening was warm out. Would not rent again or recommend.

This runs large - I am usually a 0-2 and the 2 was HUGE on me. The 0 fit perfectly on the top, the bottom was a bit baggier than I expected, but the upside is I did not have to wear spanx because it was very forgiving. Paired it with nude heels and silver accessories and it was perfect for a daytime formal wedding. Would absolutely rent again.

This dress was gorgeous, GORGEOUS very forgiving in the waist, and gave me a perfect shape. I didn't wear shapewear, just pantyhose because it was freezing out, and I was fine. The only thing I wish I knew and had planned for is that the back is very deep so you can't wear a bra, really. Got tons of compliments all night! Would rent again.

Sooo the PS size was tight through the butt and thigh, but fit me perfectly at the bust and through the arms... The S was more forgiving through the lower half of my body but it gapped a bit at the top (see first picture). My friends swore it wasn't noticeable, but I worried about it all night and tried to pose with one leg forward. The nude slip is totally detachable - you have to zip that up. The black lace overlay has no zipper - its got lots of stretch. Overall not one of my faves (usually Nicole Miller fits me like a glove).

Love love loved this dress! It was perfectly preppy, and classy. My only gripe is the elastic top only gives so much - the 0 fit me perfectly but it was hard to pull on/off since there isn't a zipper. The 2 was more comfortable and was easier to slip on/off, but the elastic was too loose around the top. Other than that, the lining is great, and the fit is super flattering.

Wore this to the ballet at the Kennedy Center in DC with simple pearl earrings and a necklace - got tons of compliments! The 0R was too tight on top, so I went with the 2R even though it was a bit long. I was wearing 3 1/2 inch heels and I still had to lift up the hem when I walked. The dress is very well lined, so you could probably go without a bra. I chose to wear one (and spanx of course) because it felt more secure - the lining was thick enough that you couldn't see any lumps or bumps. The fit was true to size, and I think it was pretty darned near perfect. Nothing itched/pinched, or felt weird. I'm a big fan of the peplum - it hides a belly pooch well and was very flattering.

Based on other people's reviews, I ordered the 0R and 2R. The 0R fit my body perfectly and hit right at my feet, but the top part (with the ruffle) was tight across the chest - if I bent over it was very constricting. Also, it grazed the floor without heels so I could only have worn my shortest kitten heels. The 2R fit much more comfortably - I had enough room everywhere, and the fit was generous but not baggy. You really do need to wear spanx or some other kind of shapewear though, because the material is heavy, but will still show lumps or other bumps. I also wore a one-shoulder padded strapless bra - and that stayed hidden. I wore 4 1/2'' heels, and the gown barely grazed the floor - I think there is a very slight train in the back since it kept getting stepped on! All in all, I'm really happy with this dress - I got a ton of compliments, and several other ladies at the Ball knew it was RTR and raved about my dress - and theirs.

This dress is perfect, especially for an event that could be casual, or formal. I paired the dress with high black heels, pearls, and a simple updo and it looked gorgeous. The dress runs large, especially if you are petite and have a small bust. The 0 size had some extra room all over (and I wore my most padded bra and spanx) too. The contrast between the velvet top and tiered lace bottom was really flattering - it disguised any bumps. The straps were also a bit loose - I could tell my bra straps were showing sometimes. Anyway it's a lovely dress, classy, and perfect for the party, but I wouldn't rent it again.

I wore this to a fancy holiday party at a private club in downtown DC, and it definitely fit in - a classy holiday (or anytime really) dress. I felt very Kate Middleton-esque! It didn't fit funny or anything, actually it was perfect and I probably didn't need to wear spanx underneath, but I did anyway. Also, the scoop/boat neck covers your bra straps, so you can wear a regular bra with it. It was amazing, and I would love to buy this dress one day.

This dress was perfect for the occasion -- a masqued ball -- it stood out but in a good way. I think the fit was flattering, there is a tiny bit of stretch, but honestly the material is so thick with the lining, boning (I think) and sequins, that you really don't need shapewear with this one - definitely need a strapless bra though. I am small busted, so if I hadn't worn a padded strapless bra, it might have slipped a bit. The fit was actually perfect. I think the length was good, and I am very happy with it!

This dress is super sexy, very structured and unusual - a great statement piece. The material does not have any give - not a bit of stretch - and it runs small. I couldn't zip up the size 0, and I had to have someone else zip me into the size 2 (and I tried not to breathe or eat too much...). I barely got the size 2 on -- and I tried it with and without shapewear. Honestly I loved this dress, but the size 4 would have been better; I normally would not have splurged on this rental, but the dress I had reserved was unexpectedly unavailable (someone didn't return it on time), so RTR called me -- and they said I could pick ANY dress I wanted at ANY price point. Awesome customer service, so no complaints there! This dress would be perfect for an artsy event, or a date or fancy girl's night out.

This dress was super cute - the nautical detailing was classy, and perfect for this uber preppy event. The fit was pretty loose (I can't remember if I wore the 0 or 2), so I didn't have to worry about shapewear, or my bra showing or anything. That being said, it didn't feel that special; I do think it's a very versatile dress though - it could be dressed up for work, worn on a date, or to an event.

This dress is amazing. My favorite RTR rental ever -- just the right amount of stretch, it's flattering, I thought that the lace patterns covered any flaws easily... I think I was even able to wear a regular bra under this, because the straps are wide enough. The event was conservative, but this classy dress added just a touch of sex appeal. I thought the dress played up my best features (collarbones, shoulders, arms) and hid the belly pooch. :)

Unfortunately I don't have a pic of me in this classy dress, so I'm attaching one of my sister - we're the same size, she's just 5'2'' (I'm 5'4''). The fit is very flattering - the material is thick and well made, so it hides any lumps or bumps; shapewear wasn't really necessary! The floral/lace designs in the background are quite subtle, so if you aren't going to be in a well lit place or in daylight, it will look like a very basic LBD. This could be easily worn to work, on a date, or for a night out.

The fit was accurate as advertised - there is a tiny bit of stretch. I would say that the top was a bit loose if you aren't busty, or are wearing a good bra (so I'd recommend sizing down) and kept showing my black strapless bra. It was pretty short and hit at the mid-thigh - very sexy! Very well made, and I thought it was perfect for a night out.

This dress had NO stretch -- the boning inside definitely gave it shape, but don't expect any give. I am very petite, so it fit perfectly (I didn't wear any shapewear or a strapless bra). I loved it - and it definitely fit the preppy vibe. The only downside is that the background isn't pure white (which I was expecting, so it would match my hat), it was more like a slightly off white. It doesn't look dirty or anything, it's just a teensy bit ivory colored.
