Oh hey a long conservative skirt, oh no heyyyyyy legs for days!
This is a fun skirt that starts out a little bit as a disappointment. Try it on before you totally poo-poo its length or straight silhouette. It does run long, as other reviewers mentioned (which might make it tough for those under 5'7"), but if you can style it right and add some height, it turns out to be a fun mix-n-match with a ton of potential. Add a tee, swap for a sweater, throw on a button down cardi. Sandals, platforms, add a thigh high boot. They all work. Fit and fabric are relatively forgiving—expect to wear it at your true or natural waist, at or slightly below the belly button. If you've got badonk or some china-bumping hips, it may make the slit pull, but there's enough fabric that it shouldn't part the curtains to reveal any choch. Fabric is slightly weightier than expected, which also works in your favor for keeping all the bits in. Things can get a little dicey if you sit down and cross your legs. Very layerable, maybe not ideal for hot or humid weather, but a great transitional piece for mild seasons and transitioning into fall. Will definitely wear again (and almost considering snagging both pieces forever).

Together, separate, dressed up, down... the choice is yours.
This is such an awesome and comfortable set with a shocking amount of versatility. Perfect for a west coast day-to-night and a head turner, full stop. The top runs true to size, though if you are a bustier gal, it might get a little snug. I preferred it tucked than un because of the length of the skirt, but it wears with a lot of versatility when you swap for a pair of skinny jeans and a boot, platform, or heel. The weight of the fabric is a little heavier than expected, but drapes nicely and remained breathable. It was comfortable in Bay Area "chill" with a leather jacket (read: high 50s, low 60s). Could easily work for warmer (not hotter) weather. Would also clap and yass at a stockinged leg popping out of the skirt slit or popping it on over an oversized dress shirt.

Modern take on a classic trend
Dat beading doe! This is a really fun poncho and absolutely not what you’d expect. I sized up one (because that was all that was available at the RTR store) and don’t have any regrets. The look when it hugs closer to the body is more traditionally poncho and the extra ~1” of fabric on either side adjusted the look for my oversized sleeved sweater underneath. It ended up looking more like a sheath dress than a poncho and worked really well. It’s a medium weight fabric, so would not recommend for a warmer climate, but was great to keep me toasty during our mild California winter. It’s super comfortable and I can see it working on any body shape. Great to dress up a pair of combat boots and jeans. Definitely a conversation starter.

Chic and comfortable for day to day
These are really cool pants, but are not quite as structured as the picture lets on. The fabric has excellent movement and is really comfortable, but because of such is really prone to creases. Still, the pants look great and wear fine with a little more casual look. They sit above the natural waist and are generous in the hip - I’ve rented these twice and worn a size 10 (and criss-crossed the decorative buttons to make them stay up), a size 8, and would even size down one more to a 6 for a more tailored look. Totally worth the risk and can be adjusted pretty easily if you get the wrong size because of the belt.

One that you think will work, but ends up being eh
I really wanted to love this top - it’s a modern kimono! Alas, it wasn’t meant to be. The medium was a little too short, the large was still workable, but I felt sloppy in it. The material doesn’t feel luxe and is warm. Even without a jacket, a little heat and I felt like I became a humid tent in it. Not a fan.

Coat that always gets people talking
I seriously can’t count how many people stopped me and wanted to know where I got this coat - it ended up in my closet for 4 weeks and I finally bought it. It’s SO chic and cozy. Great for a mild winter (definitely needs a hefty layer underneath if you’re wearing it in proper winter weather). The pockets are generous and make it rad if you want to run out of the house without a purse!

Comfy, cute, elevated
Way to step up a tee. This is a super fun shirt with a jacket slightly shorter than the lace hem. It pops out and gives the look an eye catching edge. It looks great tucked or untucked with a pair of mid-rise skinny jeans and some fashion sneaks (I went with Nike low top Air Force Ones). Super versatile.

Versatile, fun, easy to wear dress for all occasions
This dress was a very quick grab for an event I didn’t know was cocktail until an hour before. It worked really well with a leather jacket and combat boots, surprisingly! I loved it so much I kept it for Thanksgiving and it was absolutely a hit. Incredibly comfortable, flowy, flattering, and good for day or evening. It’s true to size - I wear 6/8/10 in dresses and probably would have been fine with the 3R or the 4R. The dress runs a little long (I’m 5’7” and with a low heel the hem met the floor) and can be a bit revealing (depending on occasion) without some tiny pinning at the bust and at the leg. Definitely not necessary, but it helped keep everything in place. Have a spring wedding in 2019 and am already considering renting this again!

It's a comfortable fabric, cute top, and has great movement...but not for me. I accidentally slipped it on sleeveless and preferred the look more; with the sleeves I ended up looking like pregnant tent (of which I am neither).

You want to be best dressed? This is the gown!
This. dress. is. incredible. It is: 1. A head-turner 2. Comfortable 3. So much fun to wear I cannot tell you the amount of people who stopped me and were absolutely in awe of this dress. It has so much drama and looks *expensive*. Walking down stairs or where there's a little wind creates such a gasp-worthy moment with the drape and train of the dress and in my case, turned heads and stopped tracks. Honestly don't know how I'm going to top this remarkable dress. The sizing is "true to size" - there's a lot of fabric, but the look of the dress requires that. The 14R = 10US and normally I'd wear an 8, but with this dress it worked out well. An 8 would have fit more snugly around the bust and the hip, but the 10 (14R) gave me more room to move around and the "slip," which is attached and does show when you walk, had more flow. At 5'7" with 2.5" heels the standard length dress hit the floor with just a tiny bit of extra in the front. (Pro tip for walking: pick up the liner with your left hand and show a little leg, it drapes the cape of the dress beautifully and gets it out of the way). The neckline is actually a long scarf like tie (you can see it in other pictures) and looks stunning tied in a knot or a bow.

Gorgeous neckline!
This is a super fun dress. I ended up going for something more formal, but had the party I was attending been more cocktail this would have been my bet. It's stretchy and forgiving, though a little tighter around the hips than I was expecting. I worry about sizing up because for a medium bust, the top fits impeccably. Because of the fabric type, wearing a body suit or something to smooth out the natural lines our bodies have is ideal. It has a 50s/flamenco vibe, but accessorized well it is a real stunner.

Easy to wear dress for anything formal.
This was a backup dress when another set of dresses coming to us ended up damaged. It's a gorgeous true gold, lightweight, and, slinky. Pros: - Dress is extremely stretchy and comfortable, not very hot. - Very easy for all body types to wear - Classic silhouette with adorable capped sleeves - 8R and 10L are very close in size - Good color for all skin tones (even pale and pink people like me!) Cons: - Dress has no boning, so you really gotta Spanx it up to hide any body blemishes that might make the sequins lay funny. - Regular length is too short if you're wearing heels and above 5'6", so getting the right length is key - Capped sleeves can be razor sharp in the underarm area. All three of us disrobed to find many micro-cuts on our underarms All in all, it's a wonderful dress for the right occasion, but it wasn't my favorite. It was unfortunate that the 8L was not available, because that would likely have had more body contour - a necessity for this dress with no built in structure. The 10 worked out fine for me, as I have a decently long torso and wider shoulders, but for someone with a more petite bust or narrower shoulders, it could end up being frumpy in the waist and slippy in the shoulders. We were all able to wear regular bras (with straps!) with this dress. Not a dealbreaker, but the drape did pop out exposing the tag and lining - we solved the problem by pinning the tag to our bra hooks. It kept the drape in place nicely and was a savior in photographs. All in all, it's a flattering and forgiving dress and can be worn by pretty much any body type. It was absolutely appropriate as a bridesmaids gown and would be suitable for any evening-wear event. It didn't make me feel very sexy due to the fact that the sequins made me look a mile wider than I actually am (especially in photos). However, the bride was extremely happy with the way we looked and it really shines in low and "party" light.

This really is a fun and gorgeous dress.
This dress is fun without being too much look, between the sequins and the backless surprise. However, you REALLY have to be proportioned for it. The waist and bottom fit snugly (waistband hits true, I wear a size 29/30 jean and the 8 fit snugly), however, the top is the problem part. You need a longer torso than what I've got to pull off not walking around like a statue all night. Even with tape, there's a possibility that the around the shoulder strap is going to allow for a little too much give in the bust area, and you may be showing off the girls to the whole party (I am a 36B and fill out the front, but it's not quite enough to keep everything in place). I'd honestly say, give this dress a shot because it's so much fun, but don't be disappointed if it doesn't work, and come armed with a backup ready. 3 stars for fit 4 stars for fun 5 stars for ease of accessories (it speaks for itself!) 2 stars for ease of wear (coz let's be real...)

Short and sweet!
Love, love, love this dress! Rented this for Vegas and felt excellent in it. It only went up to a size 8, and I tend to hover in between the 8s and the 10s in the hips, so I had my fingers crossed. If you're hippy like me, and worried about the badonkadonk, eh! Yes, it's short, yes, it seems like it might ride, but nope! Fits like a glove, super comfy, is absolutely form-flattering, and makes you feel like a million bucks. Only downside? It's HOT! The jersey layer underneath really starts to heat up if you're dancing in 100 degree weather with people packed on a dance floor like sardines. This was the dress that made me thankful I spent most of the night playing Craps and drinking gin. Would absolutely rent again, for play or for a cocktail event. Easy to dress up or dress for partying.

This dress is short, short, short!
Rented this for Vegas. It's a perfect dress for Sin City, but if you're hippy and broad-ribbed like me, this baby might be a tight squeeze. The 10 was devilishly form-fitting, but one swing of the hips and a jiggle of the booty and woop! up went the skirt. Bust (cup area) fits well, but it's tight around the bust under the girls if your ribs tend to be broader. Definitely don't need a bra of any kind if you're a B cup or up. Wish to say I'd rent it again; it was fun to wear once, but just isn't perfect (almost!) for my body type.

Patterned bling...
Rented this cuff with the Kenneth Jay Lane "Deco is Back Earring" and the Black Halo "Red Jackie O Dress." The reds matched spot on, and the cuff went well for the amount of sparkle against a very business-like dress. Received tons of compliments. Fit well around a standard sized wrist, didn't aggravate my allergies (allergic to nickel and anything that can seep through a coating).

These earrings were stunners. I rented them with Black Halo's Red Jackie O Dress to go a little "pinup with class" to a car themed event. They worked perfectly! They're clip ons, which I wasn't expecting, but held well and weren't so grippy I thought my ears might fall off. Would absolutely rent them again.

LOVED this dress to death. I wore it to a film wrap party and went for a Mad Men-esque look, with the Deco Is Back earrings and Picasso Crystal Cuff and let me tell you - sure fire hit! Dress fits great - I got an 8 and 10... could have worn the 8 if I felt like being really tight with the cloth, but being that there was a lot of dancing and breathing that needed to happen, I went with the safer 10. Still hugs your curves, nothing pops out, and makes you feel like a million bucks. My only complaint: beware the belt! Mine looked a little worse for wear, and it wasn't the right size. I remedied with a quick trip to H&M, but it would have been nice to get the original in working condition without the runaround...
