The dress is made of thick fabric that holds you in. Easy with a normal bra, even if you're very busty. The side cutout is nice and not too scandalous - very wedding appropriate. The color is really vibrant and looks amazing on. Got endless compliments and the photographer at the wedding wouldn't stop following me around - I feel like I was in half the wedding photos!

This dress is awesome. It's very comfortable and easy to wear. The off the shoulder look is daring, but not too scandalous. The fabric is thick and the dress is very well constructed. I would recommend a little shapewear - like I said, the fabric is thick, but not thick enough to hold everything in place. I've never worn spanx, even when I've gotten Herve, and I definitely needed some for this dress. Last but not least, be careful with the armholes in photos. If you're not careful, they expose some side-boob, which may not be appropriate for all settings. Otherwise, great dress; wanted to keep it.

I didn't end up wearing the dress; it's not great for shortwaisted women. It's probably best for fairly slender women with longer torsos and smaller busts. It also runs very large. The small was pretty loose, and I'm typically around a size 6. For us shortwaisted ladies, the extra fabric ends up bunching around the middle, adding a lot of bulk (and the illusion of extra pounds). I also don't think it's as daring if you have a big bust; the V doesn't really do much and it ends up looking like a fairly boring black long sleeved dress with a little glitter around a shallow V neck.

This dress is incredible. Beautifully tailored, fit perfectly. I have a very large bust but didn't even need to wear a bra - no show through and perfect support. Highlights a small waist and the slit is a sexy surprise for people that takes this dress to the next level. I got the 42R, but if I had to do it again I would definitely get the 42L. I'm a little over 5'8" and the 42R was barely skimming the floor; I wore black flats. I know I should have gotten a longer dress, but the 42L wasn't available and I wanted the dress to fit with flats as opposed to being too big and long enough. Definitely a stunner and totally worth it.

This dress was really fabulous. The color was amazing and I stood out in a sea of dark dresses. It's probably better for someone with a longer torso and a smaller bust than me - my friend with a longer torso wore it the night before and looked gorgeous in it. I had to tie the straps together even beyond the cross-back strap so that it didn't sit too low on the bust, and I felt like I was pulling the dress down all night. It's a fairly long dress; beware if you're renting it for a party. My event was formal sit-down so it was just fine. Other than that, it was a total hit and looked awesome! The color was definitely great against a dark skin tone.

This was the hottest dress I've ever worn, and everyone loved it! It fit perfectly, and I even got away with wearing a black lace bra underneath it. When the dress occasionally rode up, it looked like the lace was part of the dress and made it even sexier!

I got this dress in the 6 and backup size 8. The 8 went on easier, but fit really oddly; the 6 was much harder to zip, especially around the bust, but it definitely looked better. The draping was pretty, but it took me forever to figure out how to get the little armhole cutout to stay in place - apparently there's an extra strap in the dress to button to do that. It looked really nice on and I stood out at the wedding!

This dress was a gorgeous color and style, but there were a few issues. The straps in front were too long, even for my large bust, and I ended up having to use a gold bracelet to hook the back together so the straps wouldn't sag too much. Also, I'm 5'9," but the long was way too long for me, even in 4 inch heels! I was stepping on my dress all night. That being said, it was beautiful and flattering on me.

This dress was really gorgeous on, and I got nothing but compliments. The color was rich and beautiful! A few things: I have a very short torso and long legs, and used a tie to tie the straps together up at the top so they wouldn't be too long. This allowed me to go without a bra and not feel exposed. Also, it fit surprisingly well on my large bust - it was definitely on the sexier side, but nothing too inappropriate. It's also a very thick dress (as all herve dresses are) so beware if you get it and your event is on the warmer side! I was a little warmer than I wanted to be. All in all, it's really fabulous and perfectly fitting. The small went on easy and fit like a glove. I'm between sizes, so more of a 4 than a 6 right now, and had no problems. I didn't need spanx and I'm not even sure you could fit them under the dress. One thing I will say is that I think it needs a little jazzing up for a formal event. The necklace I managed to find went really well with the dress; otherwise I think it has the potential to look a little plain even though it's well fitting and a good color.

I had no problems with the length of this dress or the buttons, like the other reviewers. The color was vibrant and beautiful, the length was perfect, the braided belt sat in the right place, and overall it was a really charming dress. I wouldn't say it was jaw-dropping, but it was definitely flirty and fun and I got plenty of compliments at our sorority date event.
