Hmmm
Based on reviews I ordered the size 4 as I am between a four and a six. So this fit me oddly, tight in the waist but loose in the chest. However if I take a deep breath it accentuates my armpit fat and makes me look oddly proportioned. I couldn't zip the inner bra thing, partially because it's nearly impossible to do yourself (you will need help) but also because it was way too tight. I feel that if I had sized up to a six though, the bra might have fit but the bodice would have been too loose. Also, I found that it was dressier than I had expected. This material is a brocade, similar to an expensive tapestry type of material. There are shimmery strands woven all through it. The skirt half of the dress fit great, and I can see where it would hide a small belly and any lumpiness, but the skirt felt much bigger proportionally than the top. Overall it was a miss for my body shape, and thankfully RTR was able to overnight me a replacement for my event.

Pretty
This was a backup style so I didn't wear it. It was very pretty and shapely, fitted through the rib cage. A little stretchy in the lower belly so it won't hide a tummy. I was able to wear a halter style bra and it didn't show, except a tiny peek under the arms but the bra is navy so you can't really see it. The slip under the lace peeks out at the bottom so I'd have needed to tape it up. The zipper pokes out a little in the back but not terribly so. I am between a 4 and 6 and the 6 fit like a glove. I will rent this again if I have an event for it!

Heavy and larger than expected
I didn't end up wearing these. They are heavier than I prefer and were very long- hit my shoulder. Much too dressy for the event, and by the end of the night I'd have likely taken them off anyhow.

So this was actually a backup "emergency" style when the dress I had originally rented for the yacht club themed event didn't fit right. RTR is amazing and overnighted this and one other style for me. I put this dress on and was floored by the vibrant color! There was a little issue with the top being designed for a larger chest, and I ended up taping in about half an inch on both sides but after that it fit perfectly! Gave me a nice hourglass silhouette. I typically wear a small but sized up to a medium based on reviews and was glad I did. I took off one star because it did ride up when I sat down, which turned it into a minidress with lace overlay, basically. But I was comfortable all night and I really stood out in a room of navy dresses. Multiple compliments, I felt beautiful!

Beautiful color - with pockets!
The color is really why I rented this dress for a St. Patrick's Day weekend wedding. It was a daytime affair so I needed something not too fancy, and this fit the bill. Was a little shorter than dresses I typically wear but not inappropriate; about an inch or two above my knee and rode up when sitting, but I wore dark tights and didn't slouch so it was fine. The collar was a bit odd, the inside kept wanting to roll up and out. Wore a shrug over it for warmth and modesty which made the wide cap sleeves bunch a bit and probably contributed to the collar issue. The fabric was more satiny than I expected, which made it appear dressier, but not in a bad way. Belt was sewn on so you didn't lose it and it didn't shift around the midsection as it was on. Best part: POCKETS! Wow ladies why don't all our dresses have pockets, they are so useful! Held my iPhone 7 easily and the other was free for the Hershey kisses the couple set out for favors. Didn't need my purse!

Wore this to a daytime wedding. Gorgeous color, and even though the metal is gold the flowers are pinkish so I paired this with rose gold earrings and the look was perfect. Wore with a high neckline so the necklace laid against the fabric of the dark green dress - the contrast really made the necklace pop! Had no issues with any of the flowers twisting around. Would rent again!

Sparkly and very pretty. A little larger and heavier than I expected but not an issue. Usually when I wear hoops they are dainty, so these were just big for me. Color is a gorgeous rose gold and the flowers have tiny crystals in the centers. Wore to a semi-casual daytime wedding and they seemed a little too dressy for that event but would be perfect for something fancier.

Go up a size if you plan to sit a lot!
This dress was very cute; however, I think it would have been better to go up one more size from my regular size 6, because the waist has NO give. It is a tight, sewn-on ribbon and I was uncomfortable in the 6 throughout dinner. The zipper was a little tricky and my husband nearly ripped it trying to cinch it up. The lace overlay was a bit itchy under my arms and on my back, and it was surprisingly semi-sheer, which made the black bra I wore visible (as I wore this out of town so had to go with what I had packed). If I had a larger bust I could have gone braless I think, but without my bra the dress was pretty shapeless on me (I'm fairly straight up and down).

So gorgeous
I felt like the belle of the ball in this dress. Wore it to a black tie dinner and most other women were wearing black, so i opted for this navy dress to stand out a bit. OMG the gold lace overlay is sooo pretty! I wore my normal size and have a small chest so didn't have any issues with the top, although if I had a bigger chest it probably would have been tight. I did wear a shaper just to hold my tummy in all night, because the dress was tight enough to show faint pantyline rolls. I am sure it would have been fine without, but I was more comfortable in a shaper. I found the length was just about perfect with 3-1/2" heels.

Beautiful dress!
I really loved this dress visually. The purple is subtle but noticeable and overall the color and style were beautiful. The dress has a built in bra which is interesting, but nearly impossible to hook yourself sonprepare to have help if you use it. I opted not to fasten it, and instead wore a strapless bra. I took one star away because I have a small chest and found the dress a bit loose around the top, even though the waist fit perfectly. If I had a bigger bra size I think it would have fit better. I won't order this again but I did receive several compliments! I wore this with Art Deco style jewelry from RTR and it really pulled the whole look together.
