Friend's wedding; not the best picture of the dress.
It's only picture I have in this dress, it doesn't do it justice! Being 5'3", the dress hit about "mid-shin," but since the underlay is short, it didn't make me look any shorter. As for the underlay, it seemed to have some type of weighted hem. It was like a plastic mesh (about 2-3 inches) that kept the underlay from rising up. BUT, it was all wonky from the shipping. You def need time to iron the hem so it lays. I even clipped the hem together and hung it up over night so them hem would stay "straight." Try it first on the size you're not going to wear, and be sure to give yourself enough time to do it. What's great about the dress is the back is easy to adjust, even by yourself, and make tighter and more fitted. Although, by the end night the straps on my shoulders were kind of sore, but it wasn't a deal breaker.

0 was a little snug in the ribs, 2 fit best; no bra needed! Loved the fit, super flattering and a good length for 5'3" and a 2.5" block heel. Wish I owned this! Could be dressed up or down!

Was a little unsure about the length, but I was pleasantly surprised. The dress has no "give" or stretch, towards the end of the night the fabric around my armpits was rubbing. I would size up; I typically rent in the range of 0-2 but this dress I went for 2-4.

Loved wearing this dress! It showed enough skin, but was kind of modest too. The back is completely opened and I wore a sticky-front bra that was perfect (or if you're smaller busted, you don't need a bra at all!) The material was thicker than I thought, but it didn't bother me for a randomly super hot day in September.

Wore to best friend's bridal shower
The color is gorgeous! Picked this dress based on the cut out back & loved it! Being 5'3", this was a tad on the longer side than how it appears on the model. I was kind of surprised, but I decided to wear cups (stickie bra) with the dress but it worked, without the stickie bra, I didn't fill out.

Being 5'3, I had to pin the bottoms. I wanted the length of the pant to hit just above my ankle, because of the ankle strap heel I was wearing (much like how the model is pictured.) Fit great everywhere else (No bra needed!)

My sister's bridal shower!
The color is gorgeous! The material is stretchy and comfortable, but has some weight to it! It will hug your curves (I wore Spanx) but has a full skirt so it can be forgiving. The back up size Small seemed to be very stretched out! It appeared as if it was drip-dried when it was soaking wet. Although it was a small, it look as if it would be a Medium-Large! Thankfully the XS fit great.

Bridal shower
I've rented Milly before and know that I need to size up because the dresses run small. I usually wear a 2, but from past experience with Milly, I know that (for me!) a 2 fits like a 0, a 4 fits like a snug 2,... and so on. The 4 fit, but was kind of snug in the arms and I knew I would be lifting gifts, kneeling, etc. so I went with the 6 and it fit perfectly! Where the seam would be for the shoulders there is a see-thru material. It's not noticeable, but an adorable detail for people to notice.

Rented for a 'low-key' bachelorette party
I was sent the Tiny Tulip jumpsuit because the Contrarian Sea Shimmer Pant was not available. The overall fit of the jumpsuit was great, I loved the bust and how it was cut out. Although if you're bigger than an A-cup, I don't know how it would look. My only downside to the jumpsuit was the length! On the model, it appears the bottoms should hit at the shin/ below the knee. Not for me! The bottoms came down to my ankles! I would have done a "poor-man's hem" (with hemming tape) but there was lining on the inside that made it difficult. I opted to wore a high platform and thought it looked ok!

College roommate's wedding!
After reading various reviews about the fit, I chose to size "up" because this dress does run small! I wore the size 4. The length was a good length for my height (5'3"). By the end of the night the sequins were starting to irritate under my arms a little (but I was dancing a lot so I expected it a little), it didn't take away from the dress.

October wedding, the yellow is more vibrant in person (almost neon, but not obnoxious) LOVED it!
For an October wedding, I wanted to sleeves & this dress was perfect. The back is open and low; wear a backless bra is possible. The color is more vibrant in person, it seemed to me to be more of yellow/green (close to neon yellow), but it was subtly against the tan/neutral. I wore it with a nude heel & a chunky turquoise necklace.

Wore this to an October wedding.
Loved the print, and I wanted something with sleeves because I wasn't sure what the weather in October was going to be like. I thought the dress was going to be a taffeta material by the picture of the model, but it felt more like cotton. I ordered a 2 and 4 (usually wear 2's) but this dress had little stretch to it, so I went with the bigger size so I could dance. The dress was pretty fitted, unlike the picture of the model, which shows a lot more room in the sleeves.

Loved the sparkle of the bracelet! Dressed up my bridesmaid dress and looked great with the earrings I paired it with (Oscar de la Renta Classic Crystal Earrings). I liked the weight of the bracelet personally (a little on the heavier side, but I didn't mind it). It was a magnetized clasp (con!!), which would come undone when I was dancing and throwing my hands around.

Wore this for one of my best friend's bachelorette party! Class shape, & color POPS!
I rented a 2 (which I knew would be be too small from previously renting Nannette Lepore) BUT the 4 was unavailable! So I decided to rent the size and 6 and see what I could work with. It fit "okay", but I was lucky that my mother put "temporary" darts in the back for a better fit that I was happy with. This dress is a great fit, and the color is gorgeous in person & photos. I thought that this dress and designer runes large (because I usually wear a 2, and I knew a 4 would fir best), the 6 wasn't too bad fit wise (you could even cinch it at the waste with a belt if you're able to do temp darts). The one con I want to note would be that the purse I paired it with had a chain strap, and I noticed that the chain would get caught up with the over-lay lace. As well as the zip on my jacket that I paired the dress with. Just something to be cautious about.

I find that Lilly Pulitzer runs small, so size up. This was a very elegant fit, it hit me (5'3") at my knee & even a little lower. Heels are necessary!
