This dress was perfect for a cocktail party/work event. I liked the simple, classic lines and the bow gave it a little something extra. The fabric is a bit unforgiving and the hem was pressed incorrectly, making the lining stick out of the bottom (I fixed with fashion tape). It's not a showstopper, but a perfectly appropriate dress for many, many occasions. Would definitely purchase.

I received many compliments on this dress when I wore it to an out of town wedding. It fits true to size, but heed others advice regarding the open back. I bought a stick-on bra to combat the problem, but it didn't really help (I am a 38c) in any negligible way. If you are fine going bra-less, or are small busted, you shouldn't have a problem. It was very flattering, although I had trouble keeping the the nude lining laying smooth, especially as I was alternating from sitting to standing through much of the night. I think this dress flatters a variety of shapes and is modest with a hint of sexiness.

Rented this dress for a gala celebrating my sorority's 100th anniversary at my alma mater. It was very comfortable and I got so many compliments throughout the night! Originally thought I would wear the 10 but the 8 fit just fine and the length was perfect (which I was concerned about because I am 5'4"). The shine and the ombre really made it special, but the cut of the dress was super comfortable and it had POCKETS. It made me feel dressed up without being strapped in and the v neckline made me feel like I was showing off my assets but not exposed. My arms did get a bit chaffed from the sequins, but I think it is to be expected with this material. Would definitely rent this again if I had something formal to go to where I wanted to be comfortable.

I ordered both an 8 and a 10 and while the 8 fit nicely, I ended up wearing the 10 because I wanted to eat and dance more comfortably. I opted to accessorize with nude pumps and clutch. The gathering at the neckline was a bit loose (kept having to adjust it throughout the night) but the cut-out in the back was very flattering without being overly sexy. Spanx are a must and you have to make sure your strapless bra isn't showing, but overall I felt the dress, while not a showstopper, was worth the rental.
