I loved the color and cut of this dress. The fabric is sturdy and heavy and maintains shape, however, I had issues with it always looking kind of wrinkled. And I steamed the hell out of it, but it just has that 'not flat' appearance on the skirt. I am a 36D and the top part of the large kept inching down. The medium fit my waist fine but I couldn't get the top part zipped. I have a 29" waist and wide ribs, plus the boobs. So, I had to go with the large and keep pulling it up. You can also see it was a bit bunchy around the waist, but I made it work. Hit just below my knee and I'm 5'8". The color is great and the medium I got still had a tag on it!

The length was just right for me at 5'8" to not worry about the dress dragging with 4" heels. For something more formal, I should have had the long. I am a pretty pure size 8, curvy with a slender waist and round rear end. I got the 8 and 10, wore the 8, and probably could have gone with a 6. I do have very muscular arms and the arm holes on this dress were a bit tight and somewhat painful. I had red marks around the neck at my shoulders, but I am a rather athletic build on the shoulders and arms. The fabric on the dress was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Both the 6 and 8 (my regular size) fit, but the 8 was slightly big around the waist. I have a 28" waist. The 6 was a little small in the shoulders/chest, but I have broad shoulders and a 34C. It was fine though, and I ended up wearing the 6. I danced in the dress all night, wore it with black with silver studs heels, and the purple & white DVF bag on RTR. I got quite a few compliments! Not too short, not too long, and perfect for an "artsy" wedding.

I rented this for my birthday party and a holiday party. I am usually a size 8 and sometimes 10. I ordered a 6 and 8. Both were too big. I wore the 6 but it was much longer than I would have liked (and I'm 5'7"). I didn't find it "sexy" which is what I was going for, but it was pretty. And I live in Pittsburgh so this could be considered a Steelers dress. The lining is nice and there wasn't any irritation. It's pretty much a black sequin dress with gold sprayed on it. The gold flaked off continuously. Kind of cool, I guess, but I could see the dress not lasting too many wears or being kind of embarrassed when everything you rub has gold flakes on it. I'd rent it again, very unique, just long.

Extremely small. I normally wear a 6 or 8 but because of fat girl syndrome I always order a 10 as well. The 10 was so tight. The 8 wouldn't even get over my hips. The waist is slightly big and the hips are so narrow. Pretty dress, I thought, and looks nice, but you must order 2 sizes larger than the normal. I wore it with orange lipstick and huge gold necklace and it looked great. I had to use tights because of the shortness and the fact that it had to be pulled down every 10 minutes. Perfect for a 5'4" stick figure with no hips.

I'm usually a size 8, sometimes 10 and even the 8 was too big in the bust. I'm a 34C, 140, and 5'8". For once, maybe a 6 would have worked. The dress is really lovely though. I wore it with a mask for halloween and it was gorgeous. The fabric has just enough stretch and it is not transparent at all (I had on teal undies). The one I got even still had the tags on it! Highly recommended, just size down.

I rented this for a masquerade event and it was a good dress. I wouldn't say it was great, but it was ok. In my opinion, not worth the $150 rental. The issue was that I couldn't really see the details of the hourglass. It looked just like any other black dress. The dress also rode up and bunched around the mid section. I didn't think it was very flattering. This dress may work in a smaller size for smaller people. I'm curvy and a size 8 (M).
