you'll get tons of compliments...
...If you can fit into this dress. I still have my birthday dinner to go to that I rented this dress for, but after only wearing it to run some errands earlier today I already had 3 people tell me they loved my dress. I was only outside for 2 hours, guys. When most reviewers say a dress runs small, for petite girls like me it's music to our ears. However, this dress runs REALLY small. I'm actually a 32AA (that's not a typo, two A's!), and a 0 was still very tight in the bust with a strapless bra. Since I'm so small on top, going up a size probably would've been too big honestly, unless you like a looser fit -- but then you might show too much up top. Another thing, while I'm small on top I have 36" wide hips, the lining on the inside is cut more closely to the body and was actually riding up the majority of the time while wearing it. The lace overlay is more flowy and covered up this issue, so it didn't bother me much, but if you have large hips just be aware of the lining being smaller. A nice bonus I found though are the pockets! I love dresses with pockets and only found them after trying to fix the lining lol. Overall, I'd buy this dress if it was on clearance, in the meantime I'd rent it again. It fit my frame well despite it being on the tight side and not being able to move my arms as much.

Cute & flattering
Like most skater skirts it's feminine & flattering to the body. Has a sheen to the material that makes it unique & stand out from other standard skater skirts. I bought this on clearance and don't regret it. Fit it high-waisted and true to size. I'm 5'4" and it hits just under fingertip-length -- for me that's an okay length, but I know for some people that may be too short. For shorter people, this is definitely a good length.

not good for those with a small bust
I am normally a size 0 & have a small bust while also being petite. I had to return this dress because it was too loose on top. Not a dress for those under a B cup I would say. Otherwise, the dress is beautiful & I wish it had fit.

too loose on top, but made it work
I'm small on top, & even with a size 0 I had at least a 1 inch gap on both sides of my torso. I was able to made it fit though by taking a safety pin & folding over the extra material behind the bow. If it weren't for that bow, I wouldn't have been able to make this work. Overall I was a bit underwhelmed by this dress. I think it looks cuter in the picture than in person, & I actually felt older while wearing this. I wore this 3 years ago as my first RTR rental, so I'm sure if I wore this now I'd feel more age-appropriate. But since it was too big in the first place & there's a ton of other dresses I'd pick over this from RTR, I wouldn't rent it again.

comfortable dress
I wore this dress to a banquet dinner in the Chicago winter & I picked this dress because of it's long sleeves. The dress material has good weight & I was relatively "warm" to wear underneath a coat with black tights & a belt. The top is meant to be a bit loose & fit me well overall. The dress is more metallic-y gold in person than the picture shows, but it wasn't overly glitzy & still subdued. You will definitely stand out in this dress.

super cute dress
This dress gets a lot of compliments. It's well fitted at the top & flares out nicely. It also stands out from all the other standard dresses most people wear to a banquet. I've also worn the blue version of this dress & it's exactly the same except long sleeves. The combination of the lace & silhouette is what draws me to this style. I'd recommend this dress to anyone who likes girly dresses without being too cutesy. It has the right amount of girly for a formal event. In the future I will also definitely find a way to wear this dress or the other one again!

I like this dress so much, I've worn it twice to different events

Wore this to my graduation.
I had originally ordered a different dress, but apparently the last person who returned it ruined it so much RTR couldn't send it to me. They worked with me to find a backup dress, & this is the one I picked. I ended up liking this dress a lot. It's light, airy, & a nice bright yellow color.
