great dress (if it hadn't smelled bad)
the dress is great. It is comfortable and flattering. I got a million compliments from people -- even people who see me often. Several people said I looked like I'd lost weight (I haven't!) . The only issue was that the dress smelled. There were actually two smell issues -- one was a scent of perfume or something that wasn't mine. That bothered me, but it wasn't the end of the world. The other thing was that the armpits actually smelled like someone else's sweat. It was faint enough that I didn't notice it when I tried the dress on at home. But I smelled it once I had already brought it out of town with me, while I was getting ready for the event. At that point, I had no choice but to wear it. I was pretty upset about it -- sprinkled hand sanitizer and even found some febreze to spray on there, but nothing worked. I was self conscious about it all night, especially putting arms around people to dance or for pictures. UPDATE: customer service read this review and issued me a full refund. I actually feel a little guilty about it since I wore the dress and loved it so much (except for feeling self conscious about the smell).

The perfect dress
This really is the perfect dress. I was SO happy when it arrived. First, I hadn't realized that the material is thick, textured, and stretchy. It fit really well without feeling tight or uncomfortable, all while hiding problem spots. The chiffon overlay provided additional coverage but did not make the dress matronly at all. I hadn't noticed in the picture that the overlay goes down on a diagonal from close to the shoulder on one side to the waist on the other -- it gave it an asymmetrical, stylish look. I'm 5'4" and the dress hit me right at the knee. It was so flattering and comfortable to dance in -- I might just buy it.

comfortable and elegant dress
I loved wearing this dress. I always wear black dresses, so this deep blue with subtle sequins was a very nice change. I got a ton of compliments. The dress was very flattering, comfortable, and easy to wear through cocktail hour, sit down dinner, and a lot of dancing. Great dress.
