All of the other reviewers were correct - this one is snug! However, it wasn't uncomfortable like some other sparkly dresses can be. It was nice and stretchy and the lining was soft. While it was tighter than I normally wear, it was great for NYE and I received tons of compliments. I'm smaller chested so a bra really wasn't necessary since it was so tight (I wore stick-ons just to add a little shape). If you're concerned about the size, I'd definitely order a size up just in case. Overall, a fun, flirty yet sophisticated cocktail dress.

I rented this dress for my cousin's wedding and it was perfect! The neckline is very flattering and the full skirt is very comfortable and leaves room for wedding cake. :) I will say the lace around the arms was a little scratchy at first but it was not bad. I'm small-busted and the top fit perfectly. For a larger bust, it might be a little tight. Would definitely rent this one again!

Loved this little LBD for an outdoor, Friday evening wedding. The pockets were perfect for my cell and some lip gloss. I was between the size 2 and 4 and think the 2 would have worked better but the zipper was impossible to zip! Went with the 4 and it was great too. This is THE perfect NYE dress and a great answer to the usual LBD. The purple color is beautiful and despite being covered in sequins, the dress never rubbed or scratched at all! The dress has a bit of stretch to it which added to the comfort and made it perfect for a night on the dance floor. I'm smaller chested so I just used NuBra for some extra padding/security. The V front is low but a little dress tape ensured it stayed in place. I'd definitely rent this again - so fun and pretty!!

This dress was an absolute dream - I loved every element of it! I rented it for an art-deco themed wedding and it was perfect. The compliments were many that evening! Loved this dress when I saw it online and thought it was beautiful! However, I was pretty disappointed when it arrived and I tried it on... The color, feel and design were all top notch and lovely. However, for an A-cup like me, the bust was just gaping. Even with my best push-up bra, it still gapped at the top. Also, the tulle/mesh area on my arms was pretty itchy. Not ideal for a wedding where lots of dancing was planned! I think for a taller, fuller busted person, this dress would be great. It just wasn't for me.

This is one of the most fabulous Rent The Runway gowns I've ever worn! The compliments were endless and I felt like royalty! The front of the dress is lovely but the back is really the show-stopper! For such a form-fitting gown, it was surprisingly comfortable. I'm 5'4" and wore the regular length - perfect with my 4" heels. There was just a slight train which was perfect as the event I went to was mostly standing with lots of people. I was able to wear a regular strapless bra and also opted to wear spanx (more for personal peace of mind than necessity - the dress holds you in well!). The 2R also fit but I felt more comfortable in the 4R so I chose to wear that one. Highly recommend this dress when you want to make an elegant statement at your next formal event!

This is a body conscious dress but still comfortable and easy to wear for a night out on the town. I rented this from one of the NYC stores (GREAT experience, BTW...) for a birthday night out at the ballet and to dinner with friends. I kept it simple with my jewelry as the dress really speaks for itself. However, one could totally dress it up more with a fancy necklace/statement earrings. The feathers are a fun and unexpected feature that turns this dress from a simple LBD to something a little more fun and sassy. I'd definitely rent this dress again!

Sadly, because of the winter weather disruptions, this dress did not arrive in time for me to wear to my ball. However, you better believe I still tried it on once it did arrive! I will definitely be renting this dress again. It's a little more expensive than my usual rental budget but it's certainly worth it. Very unique and surprisingly comfortable - truly a show stopper! The slit is very high, as mentioned by previous reviewers. However, with proper awareness (and proper undergarments), it shouldn't be a problem. The bodice isn't quite as delicate as I imagined based on the pictures but it's still lovely. Hopefully I'll get to give this dress a real test-run at another event in the near future.

I wore this dazzling little number for a local fundraising event and loved every minute of it! As per many of the previous reviews, the under layer was a bit "off" and tricky to make work (especially on a cold, dry night - lots of static!). As it turned out, I was able to wear the 2 outer shell and then the 4 base layer. That combo worked perfectly for me. The under layer is pretty short so wearing the 4 under the 2 helped with that. It was very comfortable and looked great in pics and on the dance floor. In fact, when getting a drink, the woman tending bar told me it was by far the best dress she'd seen all night! (Perfect chance to tell her all about RTR too!) In a sea of mostly black dresses, it definitely stood out! I would recommend this one with the caveat that the under layer is pretty short.

I rented this as my second "back-up" dress as I couldn't make up my mind between this one and the purple Nicole Miller gown. Unfortunately for me, it was much too short! I typically wear a regular length in long gowns but this one was particularly short and I was unable to wear it. Thankfully I had the Nicole Miller to wear and this dress ended up fitting my sister perfectly! She's 5'2" and it was the perfect length with her heels. I'd definitely rent this one again but would go for a long length. Again, it's easy to go bra-less in this dress if you have a smaller bust and my sister said it was really comfortable on the dance floor. She definitely wants to rent it again - I think we have a new RTR convert!

I ordered this beautiful eggplant dress for a Mardi Gras themed event and it was perfect! The flowing skirt was so comfortable and required no spanx or sucking in. I'm very small on top so I went bra-less and just used a bit of fashion tape to keep the top in place. It might be problematic for a fuller bust because I think a bra would be difficult (but probably workable somehow). The dress held up on the dance floor and I received tons of compliments. I'd definitely rent this one again!

This dress is simply stunning - no beadwork or anything "extra" - just simple elegance! I wore this to a black-tie fundraising event and felt like the belle of the ball. The 4R fit perfectly and the length was great with my 4" heels. The draping in the front is great for hiding anything you don't want hanging out (so no sucking in all night!). However, spanx were a must because the back is very plain and smooth so you'll want extra smoothing back there! I'm very small-busted so I couldn't go bra-less with this dress. I wore a nu-bra (just didn't clip it together) along with some fashion tape and I was set for the night. Even after the fact, I continue to get compliments on this dress! The Kenneth Jay Lane Sculpted Branch Cuff was a perfect accesory. Was sad to have to send it all back!

Loved this vibrant dress!! Wore it to a Friday evening event at the art museum and it was the perfect choice for that event and venue. I received tons of compliments from friends and strangers alike and it was really comfortable to wear. The only downside - the delicate silk material wrinkles very easily and shows sweat stains quickly (not good for an indoor/outdoor event in the South in the summer when it's over 95 degrees). This is definitely a dress I'd love to have in my closet though so I definitely recommend it (just wear it indoors where you'll be nice and cool)!

I trusted the RTR stylists for an accent piece and it was the perfect choice! They chose the perfect set of bangles to go with my dress and it was fun to anticipate what they would send. I'll definitely go this route again!

Love the look of the dress, but wasn't so thrilled when I tried it on... Didn't come with the straps as far as I could tell and the boning on the inside was really quite painful - left red marks on my ribs/stomach. Will definitely try RTR again, but this dress wasn't for me.
