I rented a large because the medium was unavailable for my date. If I rented again I would definitely make sure the smaller size was available. I found that the size difference affected me in the torso and the armholes. The seam that goes around the waist was too long (I don't consider myself having a short torso to begin with) and there was just a lot of fabric in that area. I ended up just pulling up the top toward my shoulders but then had to watch that my bra didn't show with the larger armholes and the space there. The zipper does pucker as other reviewers have said. The dress was comfortable, though, and I got compliments on it. Would definitely rent again for a fallback LBD for a more dressy event. But definitely get a backup size!

I rented this for an evening wedding "reception" at a bar, and originally had planned on something a little less lacy and a little more casual from RTR. First choice fell through and this was available at the last minute. I was nervous that it would be too fancy for the party I was attending, but wore it with black tights and black wedge heels. I got some compliments and didn't end up feeling too overdressed even though I was definitely the most dressed-up other than the bride. It made me so confident! I'm normally a size 10 because of my baby belly (even though that baby is now 13 months old) and was nervous that it would be too stretched in the hip area and highlight my "curves," especially with the PLEATS! But the reviews are right, and it is a really flattering outfit. Definitely hard to get on, and I wore some little spanx shorties too just to pack everything in there. I would not have been as confident without the tights, but as someone who considers themselves to be on the taller side, I think the length of the shorts were fine to wear without tights as well. If I had had the option to receive a backup, I would definitely have sized up and maybe felt better in that but the 8 fit fine. I typically don't wear high neck/crew neck styles because of my chest but this did not make me look bulky and was very slimming.

I rented this for a fall morning/brunch wedding. It was conservative but also very flattering. I found the dress very comfortable and was complimented by several people at the wedding (although they were much older women than me). The colors were beautiful, definitely more of a pink-y hue, but I thought it fit well in a fall color scheme with a dark red pashmina. The mesh sleeves and neckline, along with the tulle and shape, made me feel very classy and put together. There is also very little accessorizing that needs done since the embroidery speaks for itself! Easy to move it, sleeves were loose but not billowy. I'm not sure if the dress itself impressed me enough to spend the same amount on the rental again, but I did enjoy wearing it and would rent again if the occasion called for it.

My fit choices were between the 8 and the 10. The 8 was probably a little tighter than I would prefer on top, but my boobs are bigger than normal because of breastfeeding, and the 10 was looser (translated: messy) than I wanted overall. Because I really only wore this for photos, the fit didn't really matter as it was on for no more than one or two hours. I would have preferred it to be a little longer, but this doesn't come in a long length. Overall, it was really comfortable and I'm happy with the way our pictures turned out. It also hid some of that lingering baby weight because of the higher waist, but I still wore Spanx anyway. Overall, a flattering dress for a causual event.

I rented this dress as my first choice for family photos on the beach. I'm 5'7 and the long length had the perfect, flowy effect I imagined. I did not wear shoes but I think with heels it would have been fine if worn to a formal occasion. I consider myself medium-chested (38C but breastfeeding now so a little bigger) and I was nervous about it being too large on top based on other reviews which made me size down as I'm normally between an 8 or a 10 dress. I also have wide hips and was nervous that the detailing and draping would hit me at a weird spot and draw attention to that area but it was actually very flattering. The dress was in excellent quality and I wouldn't have hesitated to wear it, it just ended up not being the right pick for my pictures and I needed something in a different color.

I wanted a dress for an anniversary photo shoot and needed something that had a glamorous, vintage-y feel but not over the top formal. I chose this as a backup and was nervous about the size since I fluctuate between an 8 and a 10 in dresses, depending on the fit. This hugged every curve perfectly--I did wear Spanx underneath to smooth everything out--and I am on the busty side (not huge but my boobs are definitely THERE) but didn't feel too exposed for these pictures (Grandma's going to be seeing them, after all). I had one or two cleavage shots but the dress was very classy. The color is rich and gorgeous and the satin bottom was beautiful. I could tell the dress had been rented quite a few times, maybe a small snag on the bottom but nothing that anyone would notice while you were wearing it. I also had to iron the front part with the folded fabric details but nothing crazy. I am 5'8 and the long was the perfect length, covering my shoes when seated. I do like to wear things longer. First RTR experience and was very pleased--no problem having it delivered to a hotel.

This was my first choice for a formal photo shoot for my wedding anniversary. I was a little nervous that it would be too bright/shimmery based on some other reviews and photos, but I was pleased with the color--blue but deep enough that it still looked classy. I am usually either a definite 8 or a definite 10 in sizes and the 10 wasn't available for backup size so I was a little nervous that I wouldn't be able to zip it up in the back. I run heavier in the hips and belly and the 8 fit pretty perfectly without also looking like I was squeezing into the chest area, so if you're on the smaller side of a 10 and can still squeeze yourself into some 8s, I would recommend the 8. I do not have a bra on in the picture and also the back puckered a little bit, but it wasn't tight and don't think it would look weird if you were at an event and moving around/dancing, et. I ended up choosing my other backup dress style instead because it fit more of the style I was looking for in my photos, but I would consider renting this for another occasion for sure.
