I liked this dress a lot, but it ran huge in the chest. I had previously rented another Milly dress (the Paris Love dress) in a 2, so I rented a 2 again. The waist was ok, maybe a little big, but the bust was gigantic (I am a 32B). The straps were also quite long, which didn't help. I ended up not being able to wear it because the fit was so off, even though I love the style.

This was my first rental and I was quite nervous about it, but the fit on this dress was perfect. I usually wear a size 2 on top but I am pear shaped and much larger on the bottom, so I was worried the bottom would be too tight. The two fit perfectly in the bust and waist and was full enough to accomodate my hips. I was also worried that the dress would be itchy, but with the lining it was not really a problem at all. My only comment is that this dress is quite short. I am only 5'5" and the dress was well above my knees. It wasn't a problem for me, but it could be if you are taller. I wore it to a holiday party with a black tuxedo jacket and black tights. I got a lot of compliments.

Everything other reviewers have said about this dress are true. I normally wear a size 0 or 2, but the size 40 was quite small on me. The problem was in the area under the bust but above my natural waist. I wore spanx and it was fine, but I couldn't eat much (a real shame since I wore it to a black tie event at a pastry school). The bust was fine on me (32B), but if you have a large bust, I don't think this dress would work. The sequins were a little irritating under the arms, but after a few drinks I didn't notice it any more. Sometimes the sequins got stuck together and made the hem look bunchy, but it wasn't too noticeable. Also, the zipper was hard to close, even if the dress is off. I got a tremendous amount of compliments though, so I would probably wear it again.

Cute dress, but it was not right for my body type. It looks roomy in the hips, but the lining underneath was totally straight. Also, it was too short to wear Spanx, even though I'm only 5"5".

I didn't care for this dress at all. The lace made it look inexpensive, more like a dress that cost $75 not $575. The tulle underskirt was hard to get to lie straight so the skirt looked lumpy. It looked like a was hiding something under the skirt. Also, whenever the low quality tulle on the skirt touched my skin, it was scratchy. it was so uncomfortable, I couldn't wear it. Only one of the sizes I ordered came with the detachable straps. It also ran a little small, order a size up.
