Rented this one for New Years Eve party and it was perfect! Loved the sparkle! The boning was a bit uncomfortable, and you do have to tape down all the ribbons inside. Also, the zipper was very hard to get up or down, even though it was not too tight and nothing was stuck in it. Overall, the dress was gorgeous, so it was worth the extra effort of taping and zipping!

Fit was a tiny bit loose, but it wasn't falling off; glad I got one/two size up. Didn't have to wear a bra at all as it was padded which was great, but it was a little hard to zip up so had to awkwardly do the twist, zip, twist when putting it on. Lightweight material and easy to dance in! I received compliments from all my friends and would rent it again.

 I wore it to my Birthday party. The sequins do stick together, but it isn't that bad. I thought i would fit in the size 40 but it was pretty snug, thank goodness i got the bigger size as backup.

I had ordered another dress, which ended up way too tight.  But RTR was very responsive and sent this to me in time!  The only problem was because of the short notice, I had to get this in a bigger size than I would normally would wear.  So, though it was too big, I do feel it ran close to normal size.  I would order your normal size, and one size larger for your second dress.  RTR has excellent customer service!

I loved this dress.  It was ordered as a back-up, but I wore it the first night out!  The twirl factor on this dress is terrific! So much fun!
The fit was comfortable and the boning in the dress was done properly. You will not have to pull this dress back up every few minutes!  The lining was also very nice. 

Pro - one of a kind dress - very flattering - eye catching - great party outfit 
Con - zipper 

I got this dress in an 8 and 6 because my last rental size 8 was too big. I read all the reviews of how girls said this dress is true to size - so I felt confident that one size would have to work. WRONG. The 6 fits no problem - but the zipper area is soooo tight with no give, that it was impossible to pull up. The size 8 was slightly bigger in the bust area but the zipper again was TERRIBLE. It was the worse struggle to get the stinking zipper to go over the ribcage bust area that this dress almost was a fail. If you take the dress off, the zipper zips perfectly... but putting it over the curve of your body was about the worse thing I've ever had to do. 
Once on - the dress was great. The sequins did not bother me as mentioned in some other reviews.  

If you area stick figure - then maybe this dress will work better for you. As for myself, I don't consider myself busty at all... so I was really disappointed in how much trouble it took to zip the dress up. Aside from that, the dress was a hit - again a one of a kind in a large event. I love the confidence I get from renting now that chances are a  duplicate will NOT occur on my nights out. 

Regardind size: I wore the size 40, but because it was very tight up top (I'm an A-cup) the tops of both boning kept digging into my skin. So I should've worn the 42. If you are a B-cup or bigger, definitely get the 42 or 44.  
Regarding the quality of the dress:  The top of the boning was not flat against my skin (see my photo for how it bulges out) which I wouldn't excpect in a $600 dress.  I also had to tape down all 4 (why are there so many?) ribbons to the inside of the dress with the Hollywood tape that was provided.  One of them even got caught in the zipper.  The zipper was also very difficult to zip up, even in the bigger size.  The sequins keps sticking together at the bottom of the skirt, so I had to keep separating them throughout the evening. So it was kind of a mess.
All in all, though, the dress was beautiful!


First time using RTR. Dress fit perfect. Got a lot of compliments. Felt like a movie star!

I wore this dress over the weekend for a bachelorette weekend in Las Vegas.  It's a beautiful dress - received lots of compliments and it was quite flattering on me.  However, I do agree with most of the other reviewers that this dress does run small (I normally wear size 0-2, but ended up wearing size 4 / 40); the zipper is very hard to zip (even with someone's help); the hanger strings were a pain to arrange when putting on the dress; it was a bit itchy at the waist; and the boning does dig into your skin when I sat down.  
I wouldn't mind wearing it again but I don't know if I'd like it enough to purchase for $600 (given the chance).

To the contrary I found the dress to be a bit to large in the bust area for me (size 34 A-B) however other than that it was absolutely beautiful and fit like a charm.I would say a very good dress for curvy women, but go I'd size down,I'm a regular 6 but I needed a 4. 

In full disclosure, I am 3.5 months pregnant so I rented this dress because I thought it would help cover things up while my own dresses are just starting to get pretty tight.  Unfortunately, this one did not work out at all.  I got the 44 which was enormous on me, but the 42 wouldn't zip.  Also, although I didn't wear these dresses, I did note what previous renters did that the skirt tends to bunch up as the sequins get caught on each other.  This dress did not work out for me, but it is very cute.  

Great dress. I'm a really standard size 10 (and a 36C) and the 10 fit perfectly. I paired it with a slightly wider belt, though; the one they sent was a bit thin for my taste. In any case, really flattering and comfortable - had a great night!

Perfect fit, not too long, not too short. 

Dress was super cute. I could see how others wouldn't like the unfinished hem but it wasn't an issue for me. 

I got this dress as a backup.
While the sequins were very pretty, the dress was longer than I expected; it went past my knees, so I ended up choosing the other dress. 
It ran true to size and was very flattering, although longer than expected.

Everything other reviewers have said about this dress are true.  I normally wear a size 0 or 2, but the size 40 was quite small on me.  The problem was in the area under the bust but above my natural waist.  I wore spanx and it was fine, but I couldn't eat much (a real shame since I wore it to a black tie event at a pastry school).  The bust was fine on me (32B), but if you have a large bust, I don't think this dress would work.  The sequins were a little irritating under the arms, but after a few drinks I didn't notice it any more.  Sometimes the sequins got stuck together and made the hem look bunchy, but it wasn't too noticeable.  Also, the zipper was hard to close, even if the dress is off.  I got a tremendous amount of compliments though, so I would probably wear it again.  

This dress was a fun, sparkly party dress and I got compliments on it all night. The drawbacks are that it doesn't stay up too well (although to be fair, I don't have much to hold it up) so I kept having to hoist it throughout the evening. Also, the ribbon hanger strap thingies kept creeping out in back and my boyfriend was on duty all night to watch out for them and tuck them back in.

The fit was great. Pros - this dress got a lot of attention and looked great. Cons - I wish it came with straps as an option. 

Overall, the dress was really nice to look at. However, once I put it on, it was just uncomfortable. The boning didn't sit right, bulging out in places and then sticking into my skin in others. Also, the sequins kept sticking together which was really annoying. After five minutes in the dress, I knew that it was going to bug me all night so I ended up wearing something else. The dress is really pretty in person, but not comfortable.

I'm a pretty standard size 4 in dresses, sometimes can squeeze in to a 2 depending on the silhouette of the dress.  Since this was slightly A-line I ordred a 4 (no 2 available at the time) and a 6; good thing I did because the 4 didn't zip at all.  Aside from that, to be honest this dress looks cheap.  The overlay is basically tulle with sequins all over, there's no hem to make the bottom look finished and because of that the sequins kept sticking to one another and it was bunchy at the bottom all night long.  I won't be getting this one again.

The dress was ok, and I did get a few compliments, but the boning was starting to bend and there were a number of snags on the skirt.

This is the only disappointing dress I've had from RTR as the rest have looked and felt like quality, designer pieces that I would have loved to own. I didn't get to wear it anyway because it was WAY too big in the bust and my back up size wasn't available. I was impressed that the dress didn't seem to be missing any sequins for a rental item so it was at least in very good shape. But if I could have worn it, I would have used another belt because the velvet one that came with it made an okay dress look very cheap. The unfinished hem made it look cheaper still. You could probably buy a very similar dress at Sears for half the rental price. I would recommend any other dress I've rented from RTR any day of the week though.

The dress was way too big. Reviews said it ran small so I ordered a size larger. So I couldn't wear the dress.
