Perfect!
I loved this top. I wore it with black pants (much like those in the main photo) and sparkly jewelry. I got compliments all evening--and I was comfortable! I'd definitely rent again.

Not for my shape
Others have noted this, and it was true for me, too: it was long through the bodice, really snug at the waist, and it hung strangely at my hips. I ended up not using this one. A bigger size might have fit my rear better, but I would have wallowed in the top. So it was both too small AND too large. Great concept, not for my build.

Fun and pretty
I wore this to a contemporary art opening. It felt very appropriate for the event. As others have observed, it needs pins and maybe a camisole. I was lucky to find a silky, royal blue cami that really worked.

It says "Party" in a tasteful way
I loved this dress. I got it as the back-up style to another one. I chose the other dress to wear, as the event was a work-related formal occasion. As my husband described it, both dresses looked great--this one said "Party" and the other said, "Formal." I went with formal, but it was a really hard choice. The color is beautiful, the fabric lush, and the lacy was feminine but not frilly. This one was a little higher above the knee. It was a tough call.

I felt fabulous.
I loved this dress. I wore it to a work-related black tie event. I kept the accessories simple: a sterling silver choker and simple dangly silver earrings; sparkly black pumps. As others have noted, it has wonderful pockets, and can be worn with a regular bra. The only odd thing was the ballooning of the fabric above the hem; it doesn't show that in the official photo. Perhaps the cleaning process stretched the skirt fabric a bit. Still, I got tons of compliments on it.

I knew I looked great!
Perfect fit, gorgeous color. Classy and beautiful. Note: I ordered the average length, and still needed 2 3/4" heels with it. It looked fabulous with silver accessories.
