I purchased this dress to keep and ordered a size 2 based on recommendations.  I would have been better with a size 4 due to the band around the middle being tight on my ribs. I think a size 34 bra would fit the size 2 dress better than my 36.  Overall, still very happy with this purchase and I can still (mostly) comfortably wear this dress!

I got so many compliments on this dress, and I loved everything about it! Definitely will wear again. 

I bought this dress from RTR in a size 0.  The material is lovely, with a thick, luxurious satin-like lining for both the inside of the dress and pockets.  Yes, it has pockets! (which was convenient as the maid of honor and carrying all sorts of things as needed for the duties as the MoH.)   It was a lovely shade of plum, and the lace sleeves were nice for a fall wedding.  The A-line full skirt made movement and dancing very easy.  I thought the silhouette of the dress was playful and structured but not stiff.  The downsides of the dress were: the top was big for me and it bulged in the v-neck back.  I had to get it altered, which cost almost the same as buying the dress from RTR.  I typically wear 0 or xs, but I may also have a smaller upper body frame in general.  The ends of the lace sleeves were a bit worn, which is expected for delicate material, but thankfully not something you would notice unless closely inspected.  The waist area is not stretchy, but was not an issue for me since I did not have time to stuff myself with food.  As others have noted, the skirt of the dress does turn out shiny in pictures, if that matters to you.  Overall, I liked the dress and it fit the occasion perfectly.

This dress was perfect for a cocktail attired dinner.  It is a beautiful purple and it looked great on me!  Would definitely rent again!

This is not a dress for petite women like myself without alterations. I'm 98lbs 30A 5 feet tall and wear a size 0. This is absolutely not true to size! Back is too lose for skinny minis like me. Boobs are weirdly pointed, even with alterations, but still love the dress and got loads of compliments.

This was for a work party, and I got so many compliments on it! The lace was beautiful and the V-back sexy but still conservative enough for being with coworkers. Since it was a full skirt, I only had to worry about the top fitting, so the 4 was perfect (though slightly big on my arms) and didn't need my backup 6. Had so much fun in this dress and would definitely wear it again.

I've had my eye on this dress for a while and was happy to finally be able to rent it. My usual rentals wouldn't have worked for a small town wedding, but this was perfect.

The material has a little shine to it which was perfect for night time, and it kept me warm for a mid-November wedding in northern Ohio. I got a lot of compliments from friends and family on the dress, and everyone agreed it was classy and beautiful. 

It was tight on my chest, so full chested ladies beware and size up! It was also a little short for my liking on my 5'9" fame, but I had to wear black tights with it anyways so I was comfortable. It was fun and easy to dance in, and the lace sleeves weren't too tight!

I gave it 4 stars because it wasn't the stand out dress that I would usually rent, but it was beautiful and a great dress none the less. 

Rented for a fall wedding up north. Great fit, I didn't feel the need for any extra jewelry. The pockets were a nice touch. Very comfortable. I loved that it hid my post baby body insecurities while still making me feel beautiful. 

I got a lot of compliments on this dress and it was super comfortable. I didn't love that the skirt of the dress is pretty shiny though, especially in pics. 

The color was fabulous, the length was great, I would definitely recommend this dress to anyone else. It saved me. The dress I had picked to wear didn't fit right at all and I thought I was screwed but RTR came through with an overnight delivery. What a gala it was. 

My girlfriends and I each rented this dress to wear as bridesmaids in an October wedding. It was comfortable and the fabric was very sturdy. We were all impressed with the quality of the dress overall. The pockets were so convenient and we loved the lace sleeves. Wonderful fit and we danced into the night! 

I loved this dress, and received so many compliments! The photographer even took this photo because "We love to see pretty dresses." I ordered the 4 but ended up wearing the 2. The waist was very snug and the shoulders were a little loose, but I was still able to wear a regular bra with straps. I was surprised to see how shiny it looked in photos, as it didn't seem so glossy in person. I will definitely be renting this again, it made me feel fabulous! 

Loved the dress and got lots of compliments.  So comfortable and having pockets was so nice!  Would wear this again.  

The fit was perfect. The flair of the skirt is not too much plus it has pockets! The quarter length sleeves are a great alternative for a fall/winter wedding. The color is amazing.

I loved everything about this dress!  The fit was fabulous, the color was rich and gorgeous, the style was perfect for a winter formal event.  I typically wear a size 10 in dresses and this dress was no different.  I loved the empire waist and the pockets in the skirt.  I received many compliments from both women and men.  I would definitely rent this dress again!

I wore this dress on Jan. 1st for dinner out with my husband. I typically wear a dress size 2, unless a dress is tight in the hips (then, I need a 4) - So I loved how this dress fit well on the top, but provides a lot of room in the skirt. The color was beautiful, and I appreciate finding a dress that it is a little "warmer" with the longer sleeves in winter time. 

I absolutely loved this dress. It was so comfortable yet so chic. The color is gorgeous! I received so many compliments on it. Love love love! 

Both sizes fit me but the 10 was more flattering as it fit a little better. By the end of the night though, I wish I had worn the 12 because it was a bit tight around my waist. All the other reviews were right about the zipper! I had to have two people help me zip it up even though it was definitely not too small. I got so many compliments and just felt really great in the dress. The fabric is extremely soft and very comfortable. 

This dress was amazing! So flattering and it had pockets! The material of the skirt is thick but still would be perfect for all seasons! The back v cut is beautiful but I could still wear a normal bra which is a huge plus for me!

This was my second choice dress and wasn't really planning on wearing it, but my first choice didn't work out. I loved this dress and got so many compliments on it! The only issue I ran into was actually zipping the dress up. It stuck a little bit at the "belt" area. Other than that I loved the look, it was super comfy all night and it was pretty! 

I wore this to a Boston wedding! It was amazing, super comfortable and received many compliments! Highly recommend this dress! 

Beautiful materials used in this dress, good length as I'm 5'10. Arms we a little loose on me and the chest area was a smudge loose as well. A little tight at the rib cage but nothing really uncomfortable. I got many compliments 

Overall, this was a hit for me.  I usually wear an 8 but ordered this late so didn't have that as an option.  The 10 fit just fine, though it bunched a bit at the top as I started to move around.  Since the top and the skirt were true to size (for a 10), I was surprised that the waist felt tighter than expected and became uncomfortable over the course of the night.  Pretty color, comfortable fabrics and modest enough for a lot of different occasions- I wore it for a fancy holiday party.

I loved this dress because it was modest but still very stylish with the deep V back and lace detail. It was perfect for the winter wedding we attended. The best part is that no strapless bra was needed! A regular bra didn't show at all due to the cut in the back. I wish I owned this one!

Fit perfectly, the color is just so beautiful. The lace is very soft, I was expecting it to be more stiff. The skirt is not too poofy and has generous pockets. I love this dress! Again, the color is stunning!!

This was my first Rent the Runway experience and I'm definitely hooked now. I'm typically an 8 or medium in most dresses and this ran very true to size. I got a size 10 as backup. The bust was a little tighter on the 8, but the skirt looked better in the smaller size, so I went with it. Loved the pockets in the skirt, the gorgeous color, and the unexpected deep V in the back of the dress. The best part was that I didn't have to wear Spanx or a special bra with it! This was such a stress-free, easy way to get a dress for a special event.

I loved wearing this to the Christmas party! It was a little long but perfect with heels (I am 5'1). It was also a little snug at the waist but fit. A little puffy but that was the style! The zipper was a little hard to get zipped with the change in material. It is super classy and the color was exactly as advertised. I love RTR! I wore it with kate spade earrings. 

This dress is amazing. I feared the 4 would be too small, but fit just perfectly. And, the natural wait and puffy skirt were forgiving of my tummy and holiday party menu. Sleeves were soft, easily moveable. Could wear a normal bra with it. And pockets!!!

Rented this dress bc of the flared skirt so that I would have room for my baby bump and it worked perfectly! With only a few weeks left of my pregnancy I didn't want to spend a fortune purchasing a dress for this event so decided to use RTR and I was skeptical bc of course it's not a maternity dress but it worked perfectly! I wore it to a formal Gala event and the fit was great. This was my backup dress as the main dress I rented ran small. 

You need a helper to zip you up but the top is super flattering with a nice cut out in the back and the bottom part of the dress had pockets!!!

No muss no fuss or need for special tricky under garments. I received compliments from people I did not know on the dress. It would probably be very forgiving of a medium sized baby bump. I loved the pockets. It was effortless style, modest and elegant. It did not make me feel like a "million bucks" or "the most beautiful in the room," but it was very comfortable and ladylike which was my aim.

Arrived on time and worked out perfect! Loved the idea of having the back up size, but didn't need it. I loved the color and pockets!!Will definitely use rtr again. 

I really wish I would have orders a 2 and 4. The 6 was way big, and I probably would have loved the 2. The pockets were super helpful since I was the matron of honor and had to keep up with the rings. Would definitely rent this one again!

This dress is amazing! Extremely flattering, true to size, and very comfortable. I felt great in it. The color is more of a dark plum - it looks purple in the picture - perfect for fall. The skirt is a bit more flared, but I didn't find it to be overbearing, especially since it was equipped with cute pockets. I loved the lace detail in the sleeves as well, and I received so many compliments. Thinking about renting it again for another event next weekend! This was my first time using RTR and I'm obsessed! Definitely get this dress, you won't be disappointed.

Loved this dress. It was comfortable and easy to wear. I was 12 weeks pregnant so it helped to hide my tummy. However, it does kinda bulge out around the hip line, so if you wanted something to show your body off this wouldn't be the dress. The color was just so beautiful in pictures, I loved it. 

The Pro:  Looked Gorgeous

Con:  Tight in the waist area on me but a size larger, the top was too loose so just wear some spanx!  I have a larger rib cage so that was probably the issue. I just held my breath for beauty :)

Did you have to wear a strapless bra?  Looks great!

This was my first rental, and now I am HOOKED! I can't wait until I have another event so that I can try another dress! I was anxious about this dress as I am in the process of losing weight. I usually wear a 14, but since a little weight loss the 12 fit just right! I do have an awkward pudge in this picture due to my strapless bra, but once I fixed it, no problems. I loved the pockets, I carried my phone, lipstick and sunglasses all night and you couldn't tell at all due to the very full skirt. At least 9 people told me how much they loved my dress, and other than the bride and bridesmaids I felt like I looked the fanciest! In a good way! 

I LOVE this dress - the full skirt, pockets, and color were amazing. I'm pretty petite in height (5'1") and the dress hit me right around the knee; maybe a tad below. With a higher shoe, it looked fine. Since I'm short waisted, the dress was a little long on top, but it looked fine, and didn't bunch too much. I was able to wear a normal bra, even with the lower back of the dress. 
It was the perfect weight for an October wedding at the Cape, with some portions of the wedding happening outdoors. Lots of compliments all night!
