This is the first truly disappointing dress I have gotten through RTR. I rented this dress for my cousin's wedding, and I loved the combination of the bright color with what seemed like an elegant shape. I was actually perplexed at how to rate the overall fit of this dress because somehow it was both too big and too small on me at the same time. I usually order shift dresses or dresses with some kind of forgiving cut because there is a higher likelihood of an acceptable fit in a dress that cannot be tailored. I say this to admit that I took a risk with this dress given that it is a sheath that had less room for error. That being said, I rented the 0 and the 2. The 0 fit my arms and bust but felt borderline too tight around my waist/hips. This is unusual for me because I am relatively narrow there with a larger bust for my size. I went with the 2 because of the fit in the waist and hips, particularly when sitting. However, the bust and arms of the 2 was enormous. I was swimming in the dress up top. I was uncomfortable all night. In photos, it looks like I have an absolutely enormous bosom. Overall, I would not recommend this dress.

I adored this dress when I came across it on the RTR site. I am a big fan of Helmut Lang and I'm a sucker for shift dresses so I was immediately drawn to this one. I gravitate to minimal styles with a bit of an edge and this fit the bill. I love the silver pattern but I will admit that I was a bit underwhelmed by the fabric of the dress in person. I thought the black seemed somewhat faded. The length of the dress was longer than I expected and the sleeves felt oversized, which overall made me feel swallowed by the dress. As much as it pains me to say it, I thought this dress looked better on the hanger.

The color of this dress is a true emerald green and was eye catching without being over the top. I wore this with understated makeup and minimal accessories and let the dress be focal point of my look. It was quite comfortable and not too heavy given all the sequins. It is short so leggier ladies should take note. On my frame, the length was fine but I would have been uncomfortable had it been any shorter. That said, this was a very fun dress that was perfect for the venue and all the dancing I did. Wearing something loose and comfortable made the evening that much more enjoyable. This dress drew lots of compliments.

I don't often go for long gowns at RTR because of my height. I noticed in the reviews a number of petite women rented the dress with no complaints about the length so I decided to take a risk. I thought the length was actually bordering on being a bit short in my heels (single soled, no crazy platform) but overall this was a very lovely dress. The embellished shoulder and cape gave the otherwise understated gown a bit of glamour. The dress was quite comfortable but it felt a bit loose at the bust on the side of the dress with no shoulder. I had to use double sided tape to attempt to keep it in place. I found the torso on the other hand to be quite clingy so I wore my spanx with this one to smooth it all out. Overall I felt pretty in this dress.

I loved wearing this dress, it was a little heavy due to the beading but it felt nice and substantial. The beading and the shape of the dress helped me stand out from other black dresses, and I loved the sleeves. One thing to note is that this dress is a wrap style, and the neckline can feel a bit open at times.
