Classic
This dress is a classic cut black gown with just enough details to be sexy. The XS I got fit tightly, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, it just gave it a sexy va-va voom quality. The slit isn't too high, even for me and I'm short (5'3"). I decided not to wear the dress however based on a couple of things -- the dress has a low scoop back that would have required either no bra (not at my age, no way, not happening) or a low halter bra, which I didn't have at the time I needed it. Also I probably would have been more comfortable in the small (not xs) since the zipper, especially around the gathered area at the waist, seemed like it was struggling a bit to move up and down easily (even with the dress on the hanger) so I decided I would have been worried all night about the zipper giving out on me. Which made me sad because it really is a great formfitting classic black gown that could definitely be well suited for many occasions.

Very Specific
Would recommend sizing up here since the dress appears to run small. It is a very thick fabric with no stretch so keep that in mind for weather/temp/time of year. I didn't love the breast detail that doesn't really show up much in the picture (two oval shaped breast outlines on the front of the garment) and I don't think this dress is cut for curvy people, no matter what their size. It's very column-like. Also, the leg slit is very, very high so keep that in mind as well.

Runway only had the jacket in a 12, which is my usual size with no backups. The 12 fit everywhere except the bust/arm hole area, where I could put the jacket on fine and even button it, but couldn't really move my arms correctly. Therefore I returned it without wearing because I was worried that I would reach for something and tear the material (which has no give at all). Still this is a sassy, bold look and I would have loved to have been able to wear it. Big busts/arms size up for sure since there is no give at all.

Beautiful Floral Skirt
Beautiful skirt. I'm usually a size 12 and got a size 12. However, it was very fitted and the material has absolutely no give - which would have been fine for a size up but the 12 felt very, very restricting on me (i'm curvy for sure). It's a really solid material that is so thick it's almost leathery (it's not but that's what it reminded me of). I think it would have been gorgeous a size larger (for me).

Wonderful Wedding Guest Dress
This dress was perfect for this May wedding on the East Coast because it ended up being cold and rainy and the dress is definitely on the warmer side (skirt is a very thick material). Because I officiated the ceremony I added a lace panel to the v-neck for less cleavage and also added a ribbon to the waist for a little of a finishing touch. The zipper is a challenge, especially where the skirt meets the bodice, it needs a bit of extra muscle and I had to jimmy a pull to get it all the way up since I was getting dressed alone. Fit was good and I'm busty, since the top is a jersey material. Pockets yay! I'm 5ft 5 and the skirt was almost perfect (high low/and the back was fine with heels) 36DD chest and usually a 12. This dress was true to size for me.

Perfect for Fall
Wore this blouse on Thanksgiving with a black suede pencil skirt. The large was the perfect fit (I'm a busty size 12 usually). The material is very thick so I would recommend for Fall or Winter wear. Very soft material.

Great Classic Dress in a Great Color
Wore this dress for an Oscar party with a 1920's theme. The dress is a classic cut with an asymmetrical hem that worked for the occasion and was a silk material that also fit the theme. The color is a stunning burgundy. I'm normally a size 12 and the size 12 fit like a glove. I'm also busty (36DDD) and it fit my chest as well with a nice amount of cleavage in the V neck. There's no give in the fabric so I'd make sure to order the right size here. My backup ended up being a size 14, which was too large for me and also very different dress. The 12 is a side zip, snug and fitted. The 14 is a back zip and is VERY roomy on the top, so much so it fell off my shoulders. I was very pleased with the dress as a whole and got plenty of compliments.

Beautiful Dress But Not for the Busty
Beautiful dress with a unique pattern that would have stood out as a wow! However I wear a size 12 in everyday clothes but I am very busty (36DDD) so formal dresses can be very unforgiving and I usually need a size up. When I read the reviews for this dress I did take that into consideration and got the size 14 as my first choice (there was no 12 available as a backup in any event). Sadly I couldn't get the dress zipped up over my chest since there's absolute no stretch at all in the fabric. It's 100 percent a column/sheath style with no room for error or give. Even with the dress unzipped it pancaked my chest hard core. So...upside it does compress your body when and if needed, however if you're busty like me it might be a no go.

Hitting the Oscars.
Based on the reviews here I ordered the dress in both 12L and 14L. It seemed odd because I'm only 5'5" tall but I'm glad I did since the dress (Long) swept the floor perfectly with heels. Regular definitely would have been too short. The 12 happily fit like a glove (which is my regular size) and I needed nothing but good underwear. I am busty (a 36 DDD actually) so that's always a concern for me. It does dip in the back but I was able to wear a one piece body shaper that has no bra strap that would be visible. Needless to say, the dress was a HUGE success. I received so many compliments all night long that I think Rent the Runway should put me on retainer. Had a great time and would recommend this dress to anyone wanting to make a real impression.

All around nice dress.
Because I'm pretty busty I went with the 14W since I usually have problems fitting in formal dresses because of this. I'm actually a pretty true size 12/10 in everything else. The top of this dress is a stretch jersey, which really helps to fit lots of different body types. It was a little large on me, especially in the waist and hips, but I simply belted the dress with a thick satin tie belt which worked really well. It's also a very dark navy which can work with black accessories in a pinch.
