Pretty but too big!
Dress was so pretty in person and I was thrilled with the built in bra but the dress was too big. I'm normally a size 4 and the top on the 2R was still too big around the (not in the bust but the ribcage). A zero would be way too small in the bust but might have been better fit. This dress would flatter most body types though and I imagine would fit right if you are a 34/36/38 in your bra band size (I'm a 30DD).

Difficult zipper!
As others have reported, the zipper is utterly impossible. I couldn't tell if the fit was right on this or not because I couldn't manage the zipper alone (I'd have to push my un-bra'ed bust to the side with my hands in order to zip of last part if that makes any sense). Beautiful gown otherwise as far as I can tell, sexy yet tasteful and oh it is navy not black as in photo! A 4R would have been preferred over the 4P and the petite fit could be part of the problem but there are no 4Rs left

pretty dress but ill-fitting
Pretty dress and color, runs true to size but the waist/bust line hits at a very strange point so I didn't wear it. Would have worn if the line was either under the bust (like an empire waist) or would hit at the natural waist (smallest part of your body), but it hit in this strange in-between section and while not terribly unflattering, it doesn't do your body any favors either.

Gorgeous gown!
Beautiful gown, received so many compliments! Do order one size down for your backup though; I'm normally a a true size 4 and ended up wearing a 2. Also, at 5'6 with 1.5 inch heels on, this dress still grazed the floor; I suggest you wear high heels and limit dancing (or tie dress up if you can). You can definitely wear a regular bra as long as deep-er v (plunge) so that it doesn't show in the neckline.

More flattering than photo lets on
Fit is true to size to a little large but go with your real size. Very flattering for all shapes. This was for a work event and birthday later the same day so good transition day to night depending on how you style yourself.

pretty color, tight in arms and bust
4 fit everywhere except tight across the bust/back and arms like everyone else reports. For cup B and smaller I think, I'm a 32DD so no luck, did not wear. Pretty color, cute shape, definitely appropriate for a wedding.

Pretty but thin dress, was too cold to wear it
I rented this dress as my free birthday dress as a RtR pro member (you receive a free $50 rental during your birthday month). Fit true to size, beautiful color but I had no idea it was so thin. March in the northeast is not the right time to rent this dress, even if it is technically spring. This is a spring/summer dress only folks, even with stockings. My mistake.

I'm a standard 4, hourglass shape and this dress was not flattering. The color is great but the top fit oddly. RtR customer service was very responsive however and is over-nighting some backup dresses for me, no charge!

This dress didn't work for me. It is very form-fitting (spanx a must!) and though the print was interesting, the material was thick and wetsuit like, not at all right for my event (rehearsal dinner).

Good work dress maybe but nothing special
Runs true to size and true to photo (minus that this photo doesn't show how flared the sleeves truly are). Mid-weight material, good for colder weather with tights and boots etc. With all the options on RtR though, I would advise you to choose a more interesting dress.

versatile dress, true to size
I wore this for an important work event and then date that same night. I had RtR credit I had to use up. I ordered the 2 and 4. The 4 was more comfortable but too big; it is a somewhat straight/shapeless dress. The 2 felt slightly restrictive but looked much better. One note, be careful when getting up from sitting down as the black inner slip can ride up and you won't realize your butt is hanging out exposed through the sheer layer! 3 starts for the dress itself but 4 because it looks and fit exactly as described and advertised.

Beautiful dress but bizarre fit. Love RtR but not this dress :(
I was so excited about this dress but no amount of pins could make it work for me. Such an odd cut. I am a 32D and unless you a wearing a bandeau over your strapless bra, have a roll of fashion tape and pin the dress in five different places, you CANNOT wear this dress and dance the night away in it. This dress would work if you are an A/B cup maybe and can go braless. Definitely order one size down if you are going to risk trying it. The extra small was still floor grazing and had a really loose fit on top. I had a backup dress as well but it was too casual. I had to a wear a black dress I owned and RtR is comping the rental minus shipping.

Great dress for work, date or casual wedding but not a WOW dress
I rented this dress as a backup for my brother's wedding. It was definitely an interesting dress due to the tangerine color and black cross stripe *but* too casual for the sister of the groom to wear. The material is pretty thick and would be better used for a date, party or work in the winter paired with black tights and a black blazer. I wanted this backup dress to work so badly as the other dress I ordered was a complete fit fail, but it just wasn't formal wedding appropriate. I ordered a size 4 and ran true to size. It is a shift dress so note that it will not hug you at all (neither in the right places or wrong places, it just sort of hangs on you in a flattering way). Luckily, If none of your rental fits, if you return to RtR fast enough, you get a credit (minus shipping) so at least it wasn't a total loss.

cute but underwhelmed
This is a cute dress for work/date (if dressed down) or can be played up for a more formal event. I received compliments but it is in no way a statement piece and I'd spend my $50 for a different RTR dress if given the chance over again. Also, the dress could get borderline dowdy due the fact that it runs quite large so be careful. I'm normally a 4-6 (small) but the XS fit much better. S

Unique, classy and comfortable
I normally don't write online reviews but I received so many compliments for this dress! I ordered a size 4&6. The 4 was perfect and ran true to size, if anything a little large on the side bust but the free fashion tape helped that. The dress fell very nicely on the body, hugging in all the right places and forgiving where we would all want it to be; no spanx needed so a comfortable evening indeed. Since the dress was rented and heavily sequined, I treated it delicately but still was able to move and dance the night away. Sequins are more of a patina than true gold gold so either light gold or even silver/any metallic accessories will match it. I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars because of the condition of the dress. It was clean but looked gently used as there was some odd stain on the inside and a few missing sequins. Otherwise, no complaints on RtR service or delivery.
