I wore this dress to a winter debutante ball, and it was a perfect fit! I'm 5'8 and the dress didn't completely touch the floor when I wore 3" heels, which was helpful navigating a sticky dance floor. I safety pinned the top to make the chest a little less revealing. I would definitely wear this gown again! Tons of compliments, and felt amazing.

This dress is amazing! I rented it for my senior prom, and it was everything a dress should be: flattering, comfortable, and gorgeous. I needed a little help to zip it up, because my chest is a little large for a 4. I rented the long, and, yes, it's long! I like the long look (I wore 3 inch heels), but it was a little bit too long for dancing. Also, I followed the advice of other reviews and used static spray between each of the four layers (one blush colored under-lay, two layers of black tule, and the top layer of black tule with embroidery). It keeps all the layers from riding up, which is a must. **Details you may not know from the picture: The silver embroidery has pink thread and tiny clear sequins, which give it a nice sparkle (shown in the close-up of embroidery). The tule is actually black and not gray. There are two layers of black tule between the blush lining and the embroidered layer. There are two zippers; one that zips all the way up the back, and one underneath for the bodice

I rented this dress for a debutant ball this holiday season. The color was absolutely gorgeous; it was a deep bluish-purple. The overall shape is really flattering; the peplum really highlighted my waist. This was the first time I have ever worn a strapless dress and this worked perfectly. It didn't slip and I felt comfortable the whole night. The boning in the bodice definitely helped. Some of the boning poked through, which way painful; however this was rectified with good old-fashioned duct-tape. I would definitely recommend this gown.

I was a little disappointed. First the pros: This dress was extremely well made, and the details are gorgeous. The golden lace is delicately beautiful and the color is lovely. The sleeves fit surprisingly well. Now the cons: It didn't flatter me as well as I thought it would. The sleeves were very scratchy. I don't think I would have felt comfortable dancing at homecoming in a hot sweaty room. Closing: I'm sure this dress wold work great for someone and this dress would be best for an event that doesn't involve dancing; however, it wasn't for me. I didn't end up wearing it, but I did wear the Reem Acra Roxanne dress. Rent the Runway is a fantastic a company and I can't wait to rent again! They are reliable and trustworthy, and they carry amazing styles.

I ended up renting this dress last minute when my original pick was unable to be shipped. I was so glad that the other dress didn't work out, because this one was amazing! Thankfully, when I ordered it, my regular size 4 was unavailable, because otherwise I would have never rented the 6 which fitted perfectly. The zipper was a little stiff at the top, but with a little persistence it zipped all the way. The color was perfection. The picture online is an accurate representation of how the dress looks in real life. The lace is beautiful, with the delicate sleeves and scalloped edges at the hem and sleeves. Although the dress is quite fitted, it was extremely comfortable for a full night of picture taking, eating dinner, and dancing. This was a "hotter" dress than I am used to, but it was still very classy. It's also very flattering. I never wanted to take it off. Prepare for complements! You will look like a model.

This dress is interesting. I cannot give a fantastic review since it was not available in my usual size (I run between a 0 and a 2), but with this in mind it does run true to size. The pattern on the dress is very dramatic and suiting to a person with a modern, edgy, artistic style. I could see someone wearing this to an art gallery opening. The open back is beautiful and would certainly require an adhesive bra. It is fully lined, but I wouldn't feel comfortable going braless (although my chest isn't considerably large). Honestly, I liked it better in the picture online. Although this dress wasn't my "cup of tea", I cannot stress how much I love Rent The Runway. They are a model for customer service. I ended wearing the Catherine Deane Aqua Amira gown to my prom.

This dress is divine! From the elegant lace to the deep back, this dress is hands down the most stunning gown I have ever worn. I felt like a princess from the moment I slipped it on. Although the lining appears white under the blue lace in the online picture , it is actually light blue/aqua (in darker lighting it can appear white). Be prepared to receive many complements (I was someone's favorite dress of the night!)! No gown held a candle to it. I felt like the belle of the ball! Per the nature of Catherine Deane's designs, this gown does run small. I am typically between a 2 and 0; however, I had to size up to a 4R. It fit through the waist, but it wouldn't zip up all the way through my rib cage and chest. The 4R fit very well. It was a tiny bit loose in the chest, but I easily solved this problem by wearing a sticky bra underneath. If you have a larger chest, you can probably get away without wearing a bra, since there are cups built into the dress. The straps fell a couple times, but it wasn't an issue. It would be a good idea to use some fashion tape to keep them up if they bother you (RTR sent a complementary sample with my order). It was the perfect length, perhaps a bit long. I wore 3" heels, and the dress skimmed the floor. I held it up just to be cautious. This was my first rental, and I'm sure it will not be my last. Customer service has been TOP NOTCH from the start. I originally ordered the Catherine Deane Rita gown, but RTR emailed me two weeks before my event saying that my dress would not be available (on account of damage or late return). My heart sank; however, my fears were immediately eased when I read that I could rent any gown regardless of cost. They answered all my questions quickly and professionally, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about their team (Thanks Molly H. You rock!). My only regret is that I am so sad to be returning this stunning dress :)
