This dress is perfection. I'm still getting compliments on it after the wedding! It's stunning and form fitting. It was not too tight anywhere and was comfortable all night long. 

This fit true to size for her and she looked amazing. We did have an issue with the underlayer riding up under the netting but we sprayed a little anti static and that really helped. 


This dress is really beautiful- especially with the 3D flower details. I got soo many compliments (I wore this to a college formal in Chicago) and felt so beautiful in this amazing gown. I wore a 4 (6 wasn't available), but I think if I got it again I would go for a 6 as it was a bit tight around my stomach/natural waist. 

I am 5'4", weigh about 130 lbs with bra size 34B. I ordered the 4R and the 6P as backup, ended up wearing the 6P. Would reccomend a silicone adhesive strapless bra to help the dress feel more secure and stay up. I had no problems with the dress falling down at any point during the night. Would also reccomend dress tape to secure the applique at the top of the dress. I'm glad I ordered the 6P as i wore 3 in heels and the dress was the perfect length. The regular length would have been too long even with heels. Overall very happy with this dress, would highly reccommend it! 

The detailing was amazing and slightly asymmetric, which made it more interesting. It's a wow amidst a sea of other satin or sequined gowns. Very sophisticated but flirty. I probably could have gone up a size to make it flow more, but the slim column effect was super fine. I wore 4" heels at it brushed the ground just right.

I am 32E 5'3" 129 lbs 40yo and wear 2-6. I rarely wear strapless like this because I look like a tank in them (Still have my ju jit tsu & boxing upper body from my 20s ) This dress however has the texture and structure to balance that, So take the risk if you avoid strapless!!! It's unbelievably beautiful! It did slip down a little but I'm V shaped on top so you know, physics... I could get into the 4R but spilled over the top a tad, if I was a B or C cup I would've worn it. It's truly stunning. I've RTR'd 20ish dresses and Always get incredible complimentary feedback on them but this one is definitely the standout in that reguard. Pushing a week later and I'm still hearing about it. First review. 

This gown is a wedding crowd pleaser. Mom's and grandmothers love. The embroidery is upset feminine and the cut is sexy yet sophisticated. I'm 5'8" and wore 4 1/2" heels and there was still a bit of length but the regular would have been too short. 

I'm 5'3, 130, athletic build, 34D with JLo booty. I'm usually nervous about wearing strapless dresses because I look like a tank in them, but this was exquisite. I loved EVERYTHING about this dress. 
I ended up with the 6L because the 6R became unavailable. In the end it worked out great I think; I wore 5" platform sandals underneath and I actually liked the fabric draping down and behind like a mini-train. It was a beautiful effect. 
The dress has light boning in the bodice. It was tight but very comfortable; kept everything in place. I didn't have to wear anything underneath. The decolletage does have some lace that needs to be secured with fashion tape or else it will flop down. I used a little and it did the trick just fine. The skirt was form-fitting but very comfortable. Some people commented it can bunch up underneath and this is true, but very easily fixed. There are actually 4 layers of skirt: under layer which is like a comfortable rayon material in a nude neutral color, two layers of thin black tulle, and the black lace overlay with floral applique. You need to hoist the skirt up to your waist once you have the dress on, then smooth each layer down to the floor one by one. This takes care of the bunching up problem and you're good to go all night! The skirt is form-fitting but quite comfortable; easy to sit in and dance in. 
What I loved the most was the dress was even more beautiful in person. The lace applique are actually with a very pale pink and green color mixed in with the silvery-white, and some very light sequins is clustered around that catches the light just perfectly without being obvious. It reminds me very much of how a mother-of-pearl sort of changes color and shines as the light hits it from different angles. It was spectacular in person and I got a thousand compliments all night. A few said I upstaged the bride! 
Highly recommend this for a formal affair, gala, black tie. I'd definitely rent again.

I received so many compliments! My only complaint would be that i was pulling it up the whole night, but tbh it was worth it because the dress looked so great!

It was even prettier in person than in the website because you can't see the pick thread on the flowers in the pictures. It was slightly long so I couldn't walk without holding it up. It didn't really bother me except for when I was dancing because I had to constantly hold up the bottom. The bust was also slightly too big, but it didn't bother me too much. Overall it was a really great dress!

I love this dress but I am so self conscious of my hips I didn't end up wearing it.  But some things I loved about it were the flowers and the colors, the bust was really beautiful.  It is quite difficult to move in though because it is very form fitting.  

Most beautiful dress I've ever worn. It was extremely comfortable, not too long, not too tight. So glad I had two sizes because the 8L was just a little too big. The only flaw with this dress was if you're like me and don't have much of a bust, the unfilled bra fabric was pointy. But that was exremely minor. Didn't want to part with this dress!

I normally wear a size 6.  After reading reviews and referring to the size chart I decided to select a size 6L and an 8L.  I was afraid the regular would be too short.  I am broad on top, and I could not zip the 6.  I am glad I ordered the 8 as a backup.  The 8 was still tight, but with the dress being sleeveless I guess I would prefer it be tight than too loose.  The dress is quite long, just as other reviews stated. I wore very high heels and still had to hold the gown when walking.  I wore a shrug as it was chilly outside. Hence the photo I included covers part of the dress.  I tried to find a different photo without it to include in the review.  This was my first try with RTR.  I was impressed with how the items were shipped and packaged.  The gowns looked brand new and were not wrinkled, each in their own plastic bag inside the garment bag.  I also used prior suggestions to use static guard on all layers which helped some, although the tulle fabric still gathered which is visible in the photo.  There are two layers of tulle, therefore I think this is inevitable no matter how much static guard I used.  Don't misunderstand; it is a beautiful gown.  I did receive compliments throughout the evening.  I am only listing this information in an effort to be helpful when trying to make a decision when selecting a dress online.

Rented this dress for my daughter's Awards gala.  It was a show stopper!! To be honest I didn't think from the pictures that it would be as stunning as it is in person.  The embroidery is iridescent and when lights hit it the dress almost seems to glow! The cut was perfect for my daughter's hourglass figure.  The weight of it and the fact that it's strapless worried us that it would slide down  but it stayed perfectly in place even while dancing for hours!  

I wore this dress to a black tie work event - it's stunning and seriously a work of art. Marchesa forever! However, I'm a 36C and even with the 8 i had trouble zipping up and was very conscious of my cleavage (even though in most dresses I'm a 6). Definitely size up if you are a bit bigger in the ribs/boobs area. I'm 5'4" and with 3" heels the Regular was perfect. One of my favorite rentals to date! 

Tight fit but incredible!! Tons of compliments & I felt like a princess.

Gorgeous fit- bodice is slightly tight. Also ran a bit long, so mind the length of your heels and have options!

It hugs in all the right places and catches the eye - I received compliments on the dress throughout the night and it was comfortable up top. The only cons are the length and the ability to move your legs underneath the dress. I'm 5'3 and this dress was made for someone at least 6 inches taller than me. Even with 3 inch heels I had to hem the bottom with almost 30 safety pins (luckily it folded right up with no problem and my last minute hem job wasn't even noticeable). It is also quite tight under there. If you're someone with long strides that likes to move fast, forget this dress. But if your goal is to feel and look absolutely beautiful, I highly recommend it! ... A couple glasses of wine help with movement also ;)

The dress is beautiful. It has 3 layers and fits beautifully . 

Wore to my own engagement party, was great but long, wish I would have had the 4R, but it was booked so just wore very, very high heels. Amazing fit. Although has built in bra still wore my own underneath for more support.

The dress was very true to size.  There are other reviews that mention the layers bunching but it's  an easy fix. The dress comes with a bra/boning in the upper that has a separate zipper. Make sure to zip it all the way. Then pull each layer (there are three) down separately. Make sure you get the tulle layer all the way from the top. It will lay perfectly! I received a ton of compliments! I wish I could keep it in my closet!

I absolutely adored this dress. It was completely beautiful in person. The flowers have silver and pink thread in them. There are multiple layers of fabric which gives it a lot of dimension and texture. The internal corset zip made the strapless a non-issue. I never buy strapless dresses, nevermind rent one without trying it on, but this totally worked. It stayed in place all night.

I got many compliments about the fit as well as the look. It looks classy, but different. No one else's dress looked like it. A major RTR win!

Ok so this dress was too long and too big at the top for my small chest so I kept pulling at the top so I don't Dias anyone, but even with it not fitting right, it was still incredibly flawless. Was wearing 5 inch heels and it was still long LoL!

The fit was great ! Love the built in bra. I read previous reviews and sprayed each layer with static guard. This definitely helped the layers from bunching up. Being 6'0, this dress was still long on me and I loved it! Will rent again! Such a classy and striking gown! 

This ran really small on me- I'm 5'6" and 130 lbs and I wear a 4 in almost every dress, but I ended up wearing the 6 in this dress and it was very very tight. It had more to do with ribcage size, the dress was very tight in the back, not necessarily the chest (I wore a strapless bra with mine to fill it out!). There's also a built in bra layer with a zipper, but I couldn't get the inner part to zip on mine. 

The length was perfect, I got a 6R and it was barely on the ground when I stood without heels. The dress is pretty hard to move in, there's not a lot of give in the stomach or upper legs, but it was fine to sit down in and dance in. The tulle layer in the middle makes the dress look like a charcoal grey (it looks kind of purple on the RTR website but it's grey) and rides/bunches up a little bit but I didn't find it a nuisance.

Overall it's a beautiful dress, a little different from my expectations, but perfect for my senior prom! #prom2k16

This dress is amazing! I rented it for my senior prom, and it was everything a dress should be: flattering, comfortable, and gorgeous. I needed a little help to zip it up, because my chest is a little large for a 4. I rented the long, and, yes,  it's long! I like the long look (I wore 3 inch heels), but it was a little bit too long for dancing. Also, I followed the advice of other reviews and used static spray between each of the four layers (one blush colored under-lay, two layers of black tule, and the top layer of black tule with embroidery). It keeps all the layers from riding up, which is a must. 
             **Details you may not know from the picture: The silver embroidery has pink thread and tiny clear sequins, which give it a nice sparkle (shown in the close-up of embroidery). The tule is actually black and not gray. There are two layers of black tule between the blush lining and the embroidered layer. There are two zippers; one that zips all the way up  the back, and one underneath for the bodice

This dress was truly divine. It fit perfectly. I felt comfortable to sit, dance, and walk. I did not have to wear a bra because there was a second zipper inside that supported my chest. The embroidery was soft and not itchy at all. The embroidery also favored my midsection whereas a silk or satin dress would not. There was a hint of metallic shine that sparkled under the lights. It was just structured and just flowy enough. Marchesa really is top-notch. I got compliments all night, and recommend this dress to anyone! I felt like a princess all night. I went for the elven princess look with a butterfly crown and a messy bun up-do, but a very classic look would be great with this dress as well. 

I had so many compliments on this stunning dress! I  appreciated the tip to use fashion tape on the top flowers to keep them in place. I'm 5'7" & wore a long with 3.5" heels. Still a little too long on me so either plan for a taller heel or just hold it up a bit as you walk/ dance. 

My hips could have worn the 2, but even though I'm a 32A, I still needed the 4 to fit on top. I used garment tape to hold up the details at the top and it worked perfectly. 

I am 5'10 and was wearing 4 inch heels in the 4L. The length couldn't have been better.  Just kissed the floor.   

The hint of color in the threading is beautiful but I would still describe it as grey.   

The only downside was when another guest told me she almost rented the same one!  

The long was the perfect length for my height. Tons of compliments. Fit well. Not forgiving material though and hard to sit down in. 

The 2L was definitely too long, even though I'm pretty tall and had 4.5inch heels on. I had to pick it up to walk and when I took my heels off to dance, the length was bothersome. The dress is more straight up and down in person, online it looked like it would cinch around my waist more. There's also pink stitching and intermittent sequins, but it still looked very classy. It didn't stay up very well on me, but overall I liked it.

It was very true to size. I wore about 6 inch heels and it was still long on me, but that's because I chose to wear the long.  The only annoying thing was the under layer of black sheer was always riding up (as you can see in the photo). Other then that it was amazing. I loved it!!

I felt like all the layers kept riding up and sometimes made it look a bit unflattering. Other than that it was a pretty dress! Lots of compliments 

The dress fit great. The only negative is the top layer bunched up a little. I should have smoothed it before I had my picture taken. 

This was such a beautiful gown. It's fitted all through the top wth another layer with boning that you zip up underneath. This area is very tight on the rib cage and the boning would probably make this gown tough to sit in for an extended period of time, but it was fine for standing and dancing. The hips are also fitted, but there was some stretch to it so I could go with my normal size 4 and still be comfortable. The bust area doesn't leave much room, so it would probably be tough for women with a larger chest. The length was perfect with 3.5 inch heels even though I was wearing a regular length and I'm 5'6" . The floral appliqué detailing was so lovely and really gave a dress that really is fitted all the way through a soft and feminine feel.

The size 6 was a bit small due to my bust size other than that the dress fit perfectly.   I am 5'3 so the dress was long and had to pick up then hem when walking.  I received comments all night on how gorgeous the dress looked.

I wore this dress for prom and I could not be happier. The fabric was even more beautiful in person and it is obvious that it is very high quality. The only small downside is that the under layer of tule sometimes rides up. This caused there to be somewhat of a bunching in some unflattering areas as shown in the picture. Overall the dress was great and the riding up was easy enough to fix.
