the dolman sleeve thing was just weird.
the dolman sleeve thign was just weird. it was tighter/ribbed at the bottom, and I liked how it made my butt look but then it was overall too short (even w/ dark/thick tights) for the everyday occassion I had in mind for it.

I didn't see it online, but it has those seams that kind of frame each breast-- except those seems never fall where my chest actually is and ends up cutting me in half. I'm 34DD and it looked terrible. Other reviewers were right when they said it was oddly tight in the chest.

I'm 5'7, 150 lbs, 34DD. this dress was very tight in 6 and fit pretty perfectly in 8 - and even had room for a more padded, push-up bra if I had chosen to do that. So, if you are smaller chested, I think it might fit loose on the top. The material was heavier/more formal than I thought it'd be (more like jacquard), so it looked pretty conservative even w the lower top. It worked well for a garden/fundraising party with an older crowd.

Good if you want conservative but still special
Worked great when I travelled w family to a conservative-but-stylish locale (east Asia). This runs small; the fabric is not stretchy. I'm 34DD and usually wear a size 8, maybe even a 6 for tops, but for this style I got a Large (Medium was too tight and unflattering w showing where my back bra elastic was).

Easy, comfy and versatile
I wore it on a trip with iffy weather (both hot and cold) when I wanted to pack light. This worked great with jeans and a few different t-shirts and I felt comfortable in any weather, any occasion.

Im 34DD and the jacket was way too tight in arms/shoulder/// didnt hang well in the front (theres no way to close it, the collar lapels are supposed to just drape, but didnt in my case.

Too tight, going to try larger size
Im 5'7, 150 lbs, and according to my jeans a 27" although whenever I measure on my own i get 29" - 31" waist..... and usually a size 6 or 8. Slate & Willow dresses very oddly fit me at size 4 (And I'm NEVER a 4). so I got this skirt in a 6 and was surprised that it was way too small. I couldn't zip it all the way up, and think I'll try 8 or 10.

Wanted to love it, but...
Wanted to love this but it wasnt very flattering in the waist/hips (it fit, but tight enough to show a little belly pouch or the waist line of my spanx) and the arm holes were way too big. Im 5'7, 150 lbs and 34DD.

too low cut for work, more for a demure date?
weirdly, Slate and Willow (this second dress) in size 4 fits me although in everything else I'm a 6-8 (and, the other dress in my order was a cynthia rowley that would have fit me in size 12!). I'm 148lbs, 5'7", 34DD and 28 waist. the V dip is supported by strong wire so the dress doesn't do any weird wrinkling or buckling. I rented it to wear to a nice work event, and thought it would look ok w/ a jacket over it, but that V part is really too low for the office, so now planning to wear it on a date.

I'm 5'7", 145-150 lbs, 34DD, 28-29 waist in jeans and usually wear a 6 or 8. on this dress, size 8, I awkwardly got it on (and am glad I am *not* wearing it on my date after all, b/c it took me about 10 minutes of wiggling to get it off again!) and couldn't zip it after my waist without harming the seams. (oh, and on the particular dress I received, some blue ink on teh back left shoulder.) I think I should have ordered this dress in a size 12, and would like to try it again, in a larger size.

definitely size down
I'm 5'7", around 150lbs (147-155), 34DD and usually wear a size 6 or 8. I reserved this dress I believe in both 6 and 8, but even the 6 was very loose - I definitely had at least an inch give everywhere, and so I'm sure the size 4 would have fit me perfectly. I ended up not wearing this dress (the order arrived too late for my event), but I did try them on just to see....

Not flattering on me
In the photo, it looks like its cut in at the waist, but on me it fit more like a straight cut sheath. It ended up not being flattering on me, and I opted to wear something I already owned in my closet. I'm 5'7, about 150lbs and 34DD. Also, this dress definitely needs heels to go with it.

I wore this to my daughter's school fundraising event: a perfect mix of conservative but not boring
Fit: I'm 5'7 and about 153 lbs, 34DD. the 38 (6) fit a *little* on the snug side - but it did not look tight, given the cut of the dress. I liked how it fit and flowed easily when I moved. The front is conservative and professional enough - but the back has a nice, "peekaboo" to expose just a little skin - enough to make me feel great, but still comfortable in front of my daughter's teachers and the other parents. a low-back bra w/ some fashion tape for just in case works perfectly (I used one of those extenders that converts your normal bra to a low-back one by crisscrossing the back into a lower V). I would definitely recommend this dress if you're looking to Wow -but just a little bit / still need to be somewhat conservative.

not flattering on my body: top looks like I have a sports bra on
It was too tight for me on top - both the M and L (I'm usually a M), and so it created a uni-boob effect, as if I had a sports bra on. Not very flattering. And because it didn't bring out my curves on top, it made the rest of me look strange. The thick fabric means when you move around at all the dress rides up and creates extra wrinkles or looks like its puckering - as if adding inches to your sides or fake fat rolls. The print looks almost like an abstract blue flower pattern - but its more like a grayish newsprint pattern. Still pretty, but doesn't look great on.

Fit is strange - puckers in weird places or doesn't lay flat.
I'm 5'7", 34DD and about 140-145lbs, which means I wear either a 6 or 8. I was excited about this dress for my office holiday party - a bit conservative but still a hint of sexy. However, the dress doesn't fit well if you have boobs. The 6 fit in that it zippered ok, but (you can't see this in the online photos) the fabric that makes the front V at top continues and criss-crosses behind the skirt at bottom. All this to say, the dress doesn't hang well if your boobs make the fabric at the top stretched more. So I tried on my backup 8, but then it was big all around, and still didn't rest well on my body. I didn't wear this dress, and I definitely don't recommend it if you have DD cups.
