I'm about 9 weeks postpartum when I wore this. It was a Hail Mary dress that I overnight-ed because all the dresses I'd ordered AND THE REPLACEMENTS were terrible. Way too casual but there weren't any other options. I looked one last time and saw this had popped up, Only the size 16 was available. It was too big on me, but not so badly that I couldn't wear it. even without shapewear, i felt really comfortable and like my belly was hidden enough. I got tons of compliments and would definitely rent this again. The Satin is light so you might need to wear shapewear but i felt pretty good in this and the color was fabulous in person.

I was wearing size 14/16 while i was pregnant. XL and XXL depending on the shirt. This has enough stretch but also some hold to make you feel secure. I felt so good in this dress when i was pregnant. it showed the belly without it feeling obnoxious or just looking like i'd eaten too much. The color is stunning in person and I got lots of compliments. It was a cold weekend when i wore this and i was comfortable with a pashmina (this dress is not light and airy! but I also ran hot as a pregnant person).

I'm 8 weeks postpartum, so I'm having to order sizes I'm not used to and not familiar with my body. However, i did a lot of research and thought this might be a good option for my SIL's wedding. THIS DRESS IS CASUAL!! It was really cute for a Derby party, or as a sundress. It was a little bit large, but that worked better with my large bust. It is not designed for a really busty person (so the very top kinda gaps a little bit - like pulls away from the skin and doesn't lay flush). that didn't bother me a ton. I didn't wear this because i didn't have a nude compression to help with my belly that didn't have straps - and i realized i didn't have a bra that would work either (postpartum is hard). I would HIGHLY suggest wearing some compression if you have a belly - it's a little loose, but the material is SO thin. I would rent this again - but would get some belly control and a strapless/low back bra to wear with this.

The shoulder strap is SO short. it was in my armpit and so uncomfortable. the bust was tight, and the waist was SO baggy. I wish I'd taken a picture. I did love this color, the style, material, etc. the Material is fairly light and comfortable. I am between a 4 and a 6 typically. When I read the reviews that it runs small and to size up (and if you're between sizes go larger than you think), I decided to get the M and the L. The Medium was way too large. The top just folded over and showed the white "sticky" part. The waist was large and the sleeves you couldn't make sit in a particular spot (not that big of a deal). I'm not sure if this was just a reallllllllllly stretched out Medium, or if I shouldn't have listened to the suggestions. I'm not sure if a small would have fit right, but if I could re-do it, I would have gotten the Small as my backup instead of the Large.

I got a TON of compliments for a BLACK dress. I loved the hem (very fun when dancing) and the back was elegant - loved the combo of the high neck with the low/lacy back. I didn't wear a bra, but used silicone nip covers. I would say this may be SLIGHTLY small in the hips. I typically am between a 4-6 dress size (waist is a 4, booty/hips are typically what causes the dress range). The 4 was PERFECT in the waist, but too tight for my taste in the hips and the 6 was a little large in the waist perfect around the booty (not overly booty-licious). If it weren't for he maybe slightly-off fit in the booty, I would DEFINITELY wear this again. I do recommend this dress.

I wore this to an outdoor summer wedding in Maryland. Lots of humidity, lots of bugs! The open back, and the large skirt allowed for a lot of air flow. I felt VERY comfortable in this dress (and very conservative). I got a lot of compliments, but didn't feel like I stood out in the crowd too much. The bottom is a lot more material than I thought, and LONG for someone 5'5. No need to wear a bra or spanx. Would have preferred the look with higher heels, but flats were a MUST with the terrain of the venue.

I wore this to a black tie optional wedding. I do have fairly wide shoulders and an hourglass shape. The sparkle on the top is black sequins, and the color 'see through' is just a nude fabric. Pros: fairly universal style for Cocktail to semi-Formal. I loved the pockets. The chest fit quite well - no need for a bra. Those two reasons are why this didn't get 2 stars. Cons: the arm holes are very small - so it felt quite uncomfortable. The way the straps fit on the shoulder felt a little strange as well. The sequins definitely rubbed for me (I think this is due to how small the arm holes are). The hem of the dress was pulled out. Thankfully I brought some tape and was able to kind of fix it at least for the night. The torso was a little shorter than it appears in pictures, so if you're concerned with it fitting your waist at the smallest point, it's better for a shorter torso person. My husband said the fit looked fine in pictures, but in person, it left a lot to be desired (NOT what you want to hear from your hubby). If you have small arms, and a shorter torso, then I think this style would look a lot better!

This was elegant and fine for a cocktail-attire wedding. The color is the best part of the dress, besides the price. It's fairly comfortable and maybe runs a little bit small. I had to size up a bit. My shoulders are a little more broad. The arms were very constricting - they only barely stretch and i could only lift to about shoulder height or a little lower. The dress stretched out a little bit as the night went on so the size 6 maybe had been better - i just couldn't get it over my shoulders comfortably! I probably would not rent this again.

I loved this but wish I'd ordered two sizes up for my backup. I am 5'5, size 4-6 depending on fit and curvy on top (32DD-34D) and bottom. I do lots of squats so the lower half shows it (thicker thighs and booty). This is a classic, elegant dress. It was very comfortable, no need for a bra (nip covers might be helpful for some). I saw only one review that said to size up for curvy girls and thought one size up was enough. I would recommend sizing up BOTH sizes if you have curves. I wore the 6. It was fine across the chest and very comfortable. The bottom was TIGHT and bunched up a lot when I was dancing and walking around. I wish I'd gotten the size 8 as my backup size just to see if I would have been more comfortable in it. I think it would have fit the curves a lot better. Unfortunately, I didn't get any full length photos. I probably would rent again but would order size 6 and 8 just in case.

This dress was great - I felt great in it. The color is vibrant and much more purple than the pictures look. I wore sticky boobs - you can't wear a regular bra with the back. The material is a lot lighter (more thin) than I expected and has a lot of stretch - doesn't really cover up or smooth out 'imperfections'. The length was great with heels - Due to some unfortunate blisters, I wore platform sandals which were a little too tall in the front. I'm 5'5, about 135 and typically a 4, but sometimes size up to 6 for fit/comfort. I did not bring full coverage underwear and due to the cinching on the back of the dress left very little to the imagination with the backside (you can start to see in the first pic and mirror pic). If I'd had full coverage or spanx, I would have gone with the 4. If you're interested in the dress - you should go for it.

This was an OKAY dress. I did filters for 'cold weather' and assumed the body of the dress would be a little thicker than the sleeves. It is VERY thin all over. It would be better for 60+ degree weather, not 20-30. If you're uncomfortable with a lot of cleavage, this opened below my sternum. I ended up putting a pin in to provide a little coverage. Sleeves felt slightly short and the shoulders were a little tight.

My mom actually wore this dress for a formal black tie ball. It was classic yet stunning. She's fairly slim and is usually a 0-2 in Ann Taylor clothing. The 2 was slightly too tight - She felt more comfortable in the size up. Her measurements are similar to mine - though closer to 120 pounds, 5'4. This dress was very comfortable and perfect for a Christmas cocktail party. The cut is a little lower than I expected, but it made it seem a little more elegant. The shirt is much more full than I expected it to fall, so some angles don't look great on this dress! The material is woven, and the dark blue sections have a little bit of a sparkle/shine to it. I wished the waist hit a little lower - but this would be PERFECT for someone with a little bit of a stomach (or even a lot of one). The pockets were deep and I carried my phone, lipstick, gloss and a hair pin without it showing. I am 5'5, 32DD-34D and weigh about 140. Depending on the dress/style, I can sometimes be between a 4 and a 6. The 4 was perfect - maybe even SLIGHTLY large. It does have a little give to it - but do not plan on it melding to you. The 6 was way too big and VERY low. I didn't wear a bra and was comfortable all night. The material is a little thick, perfect for a cool (not cold) night without a jacket. I'll definitely keep this in mind in the future.

I wore this for a NYE engagement party - and NYE celebration. My husband picked it out online and loved it. It was pretty flattering and fun in general. I am 5'5, between a 32DD to 34D and weigh about 140. Definitely an hourglass shape. I had the 6 as a backup and it was maybe slightly too big and much lower on the chest. My husband said the 4 (which was a little tighter around my waste) looked much better. it fit perfectly everywhere else. The straps on the six seemed to have a lot more baggy material which fell strangely from the shoulder to my boobs. It is low cut, but was a 'classy' amount of cleavage. I didn't wear a bra. It is a little scratchy on the back of the strap, but not enough to cause scrapes or continue to be irritating through the night. I ended up wearing tights and ankle boots with a black shawl (none of which got pictured, but made it a little more casual). This was the only picture of the night that actually got more than a strap of the dress in it! If another opportunity came about, I might rent this, but it's not my favorite rental.

I loved this dress. It's beautiful, shimmery, comfortable and light. Feels more casual than it looks in person. In a sea of black dresses at a wedding, this really stood out. Perfect for summer/spring weddings or formal events. I'm giving 4 stars because there was a little wear, the straps were too short (not adjustable or removable), and it seems like the top was a little stretched out. The XSR fit better in many areas but it seemed like the very top of the dress was stretched out more than the SR. Also, tucking the straps wasn't as obvious in the SMR. There is a lot of give in the top, but I don't think enough to size down. I danced all night and did not have to adjust the dress too often (all things considered). I wore a strapless bra. Even though the top is a little thick, it's not padded or lined.

I loved the fit of this dress. It might run a little large. Very forgiving for a bit of a tummy too. Length was perfect for me (5'5) and I wore 4 inch heels (I would have been perfect with shorter heels too, heels are necessary). Wore this to the rehearsal dinner party for a formal wedding. I'm rating a 4 since there was a little wear on this dress and it wrinkles VERY easily (you can see where it creased while I was sitting). The color is beautiful and the dress is very light and flowy. Not thick or very stretchy material. Considering how light the material was, it did retain some heat (at least for an August rehearsal dinner in NC). The tie was a little cheaper looking than I thought but that didn't bother me. I got this as a birthday dress and it was fun and dressy for dinner and drinks. Very flattering. I'm between a 4-6 depending on fit. Hourglass shape, with bubble-butt, 32-dd, 5'5 and abt 138 at the moment. I wore the small. Both sizes (small and medium) were tight on the tush and both tended to ride up a bit when walking around. The medium was very large in the mid-section and the v-Neck was a little loose and low in chest so I went with the small. That's why I said it runs a little large-- but it's only slightly large. I wore tights to dress it down a little with some boots -- plus it was chilly that night. Long sleeves helped but this is not warm material! It was a fun flattering dress but I probably wouldn't rent it again just based on the style. But I do recommend!!

This really was a beautiful, comfortable, very flattering dress. This was sent to me automatically by RTR support as a back up when my original dress wasn't available. I'm usually between a 2-4 dress size depending on style. I said it's 'True to Size' because it was fitted (not tight) around my waistline. I think a size up may have been to big in the waist. However, because of the size and placement of the cut out, I wasn't able to wear a strapless bra. When I tried it without a bra, you could see the bottom of my boob! I usually wear between a 2-4. The 4 was the right size, though slightly more snug than preferred. I could have gotten over that if the neckline wasn't so low, or if I had some fashion tape! I am a little more conservative in my style and felt it showed way too much cleavage. I read other reviews that said the dress was a dud without the belt. I agree. Without the belt there was nothing that really stood out about the gown itself. The backup size wasn't available so RTR support helped me find another style as a back up and that's the dress I wore.

It's not flashy or overly sexy. I probably would have gone with the 2 instead of the 2L since it was a little longer than expected (even with big heels). The fit is fitted but not tight, so I was comfortable all night. I highly recommend this for busty women with curves who prefer a more conservative look.

I originally rented this for a wedding. I ended up wearing it for a date instead. If I had worn to the wedding, I definitely would have worn the Medium. The medium was much more 'church appropriate,' but felt a little frumpy -- it's longer than I anticipated, not very fitted in the waist. My husband LOVED the small on me because it fit like a glove .. Beware if you have a larger chest/rear, this dress is not really 'made' for you. I felt like I was messing with the shoulders, under-skirt etc all night. I could have worn a normal strapless bra with the Medium, I wore a sticky bra with the Small mostly for modesty. My main input: I think the Medium would have been a little better than the small.

This was my first experience with RTR and I'll definitely be using it again! This dress was perfect for an outdoor spring evening wedding. The material is thick but not bulky. It's flattering and hugs curves in all the right ways. My dress size can range from 0-6 depending on style/designer. Generally a 2 or 4. They didn't have a 2 when I was renting so I got the 6 as a backup. The 4 was perfect (therefore saying it may run a little on the smaller side). The 6 was just a bit too big. This was a little sexier than I thought, but I shouldn't have been surprised based on other reviewers. Like many reviewers, I ended up having to pin up the back t-strap a bit. The deep v neck went past my sternum without tweaking it. I didn't wear a bra since it emphasized cleavage too much for my taste. The slit goes up to the waist so you definitely have to be careful when sitting. All things considered, it was a very comfortable dress. I got tons of compliments on the dress all night and my husband LOVED the dress. I'm giving it 4 stars since it was a little sexier and the T-strap was a little too long, but if the right opportunity comes up, I would be likely to rent this one again!
