The smaller size was definitely more flattering as the dress had some stretch, but the thick lining (while helpful against the itchiness of the sequins) actually made it feel and look a little bulky. I thought the neckline was going to be a little lower/more dramatic based on the picture as well. All in all, it was cute but I was looking for something more...

The top basically fit true to size, maybe a tad small. But the dress wasn't floor length, like the picture?! And I got a long! It flared out in a funny way inches above my ankles. It looked bizarre and there was no way I could wear it.

This wasn't the dress I ordered, nor was it even my backup. FedEx screwed up (twice) so I wasn't able to get my order delivered (they couldn't even follow instructions to hold it at their center...) in time. After calling RTR customer service, the rep was super kind in helping me find a solution (I was very upset...). Thankfully, there was an actual RTR store not terribly far from me and they were ready and waiting for when I flew in the door and had to find a dress in about 30 min... To top it off, I haven't fit into a size 6 dress in YEARS (yes, I know sizes are relative but given that they didn't have my actual size and that I really needed an ego boost at that moment, I was excited!). If I'm being super picky, I wish the dress came in long sizes (my 2 inch dark silver pumps showed and they didn't quite match, but I had to go with it). Otherwise, I felt like a knockout in this red cutout stunner and I'm pretty sure my friends and date thought so too :)
