Big armholes

I am so bummed this didn't work out. The dress is a thick almost sweater-like fabric that is body-con and the print is very flattering, accentuates curves, etc. That said, the armholes are very low. I couldn't even wear a strapless bra without it showing. I think maybe if you're busty and don't mind going bra-less or can get away with pasties, this would be a great option. But unfortunately it was a no-go for me.

Very short with lots of fabric

I really wanted to love this. I am pretty short so I didn't think the length would be a problem, but woah. It would have been unwearable unless I stood in place all night. There's also just a LOT going on with the ruffles and the pleats. I did not wear it.

Wore as an everyday/weekend maxi

The bottom of this dress is see through. Very see through. Which didn't really bother me because I was wearing it on vacation or around on the weekend, and I just wore a longer chambray shirt over it so it covered my booty. There are also slits in the bottom of the dress, which aren't super revealing, but just know that they are there. This wouldn't be a dress I'd wear to dinner with my in-laws. That said, the pattern is fun, and the bodice fits nicely - it has elastic in the back so it's stretchy and comfortable.

Rented for a bridal shower.

Runs small - couldn't zip it. Size up for sure. The shoulders are also very wide strapped. My shoulders are narrow to average width, and the fabric came over the edges of my shoulders which isn't all that flattering. The neck is high, so the effect would be pretty matronly.

this dress could be so cute if it were about 4" longer in the back, and 2" longer in the front. I'm not quite 5'5" and I couldn't wear this because the back BARELY covered my booty (which isn't like, disproportionately large for my frame, the dress is just THAT short). The top fit nicely and I would say TTS, the waist is adjustable, which is great, you pull it as tight as you want to create the tie in front, which again is a cool element. But unless you are 5'3" and under, your undies are going to be out. Pass.

Black Tie Wedding

I love this designer and I LOVED this dress. Wore for a black tie wedding in late summer. Fabric is thick and stretchy so it hugs you in the right places. I'm 5'5" and wore with 3" heels, it was just a tad long. If I could walk in 4" heels that would have been better. This dress would be really good for hourglass figures - I couldn't quite fill the cups up, but made it work with a regular bra - the back is high enough that it hid the bra. If you're bigger on top you could probably go sans bra, the fabric is supportive enough.

Cinq a Sept for the win - again

Wore this dress for an outdoor early fall wedding. The color and length make it conservative enough - and the slit and fit make it fun. The fabric on this dress is nice and thick, so it's definitely fitted, but holds you in nicely. Tons of compliments, paired it with huge statement earrings from Nocturne and black stacked heel sandals.

Rented this for a few casual weekend getaways - received tons of compliments!

This top is a super fun, summer/warm weather item. I wore it with denim cutoffs and also with white shorts, and it was great. It is surprisingly not very breezy though. I wore it in Hawaii, expecting it to be something I could wear to stay cool while covering my shoulders from getting too much sun exposure. The fabric is more substantial, and as a result it doesn't really provide air flow. Not a deal breaker by any means, but if its 85+ degrees, you'll be toasty.

Wore these for my Rehearsal Dinner - loved them SO much!

Super cute statement earring. The colors make them modest enough to wear to work or a conservative event, but the design is super stylish!

Wore under a leather jacket w/black skinny jeans for a show, and under a blazer for work. Versatile!

I'm usually btwn an XS and a S (32C, 5'5", 125ish pounds) The XS was wearable, but the S just draped better. The material feels nice, but it wrinkles very easily - it's on the long side, so when you sit, it crumples at the waist, and doesn't immediately fall out. Something to consider if you're going to be photographed. The color was very rich and beautiful, and for standing in a crowd at a show, or standing giving a presentation, it was great. Modest enough for work, but edgy enough to go out if you're not trying to show off the girls.

Wore this dress for my rehearsal and casual welcome reception - it was a hit!

So, this dress is definitely body-con. I wore it with a nude bra and Spanx. The only watch outs: if you're going to walk a lot, the liner and the dress can kind of ride up. Also, if you're trying to sit down and stand up, you're going to end up adjusting the skirt part, because it's tight. I was mostly standing so it wasn't an issue. I received a ton of compliments, but keep in mind this dress leaves very little to the imagination.

It was a hit! Worn for my engagement party at a Speakeasy-themed bar, it matched the decor perfectly

This dress is very comfortable and true to size. I'm generally a 2/4 and the 2 was nice and snug without being too tight. I danced confidently and comfortably all night in this dress, it has a bit of stretch, and it does ride up a little, but not too badly. At my height, this was the perfect "mini" length for me, if you're tall girl who is modest, this dress might be short for you. But it covers a lot up top so the trade off to show some leg is seems totally fine. I got a TON of compliments on this dress and it really made me feel like the center of the party (which, in fact I was).

I ended up not wearing this dress for my event, which was a shame because I had such high hopes!

This dress is definitely ideal for someone who's proportionate top to bottom. I'm slightly smaller on top than bottom, and could have worn the 2 but it would have definitely required a Nu-bra and fashion tape. I don't think I could have gone down to a zero because it would have been too tight in the hips. I knew I was going to be dancing in this dress, and I was concerned that the open back would have been complicated to deal with while dancing. I opted to go with the alternate dress I'd selected from RTR. The other thing I'll note is that this dress is on it's last leg, the lace around the arms and skirt was pretty ragged. Kind of disappointing for a dress at that price point. But, if you're going to be standing relatively still, and you're propotionate, or even a bit bustier, this dress would be great. It's gorgeous and super fun.
