Flattering!
I wore this dress out to dinner for my birthday, and I loved it! It was actually a replacement for the dress I rented but wasn't available at the last minute (RTR, what's up with how often that's been happening?). This dress is made for someone with my body type - it fit perfectly. It has no stretch, and you can't lift your arms above your head, but I found it to be completely comfortable. The only small issue is that I don't think you could zip up the back if you don't have help - the zipper tape gets stuck in the zipper easily, and my husband had to carefully work it up the back.

Fun dress!
I wore this out to dinner on vacation, and I thought it was really cute! The fit around the hips is slightly odd, but once it was on, I felt comfortable. There's a slit all the way down the back, so I wore a Nubra. I think the colors and print of this dress are great. Would rent again.

Simple and flattering
I rented this for a nice dinner out, and while it's a very simple style, I really liked it. It's my husband's favorite dress that I've worn! The color is beautiful, and the fabric is a good weight - it's light enough that it has movement but not so light that it shows everything. Would rent again!

Wanted to love this
I thought this dress was incredibly striking, and I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, it just wasn't a flattering dress on me. The fabric is a stiff cotton that has no drape, so it just sort of wrapped around me and looked like a sack. Too bad!

Flirty & fun
This dress is pretty and more vibrant than it seems in the pictures. I rented the 44 and 42, really not sure which would be better. I can be either a 4 or 6, but I have a relatively wide ribcage, so the 44 ended up fitting better. This was good, because the 42 showed up smelling strongly of BO! I got some compliments from strangers at the wedding I wore this to, but I didn't absolutely love it. I felt like it would look better on a taller girl.

Didn't quite work
I thought this dress was gorgeous - the fabric and silhouette are both right up my alley for a special event. Unfortunately, the combination of the tightness around the rib cage and the long length of the shoulder straps meant that it wasn't wearable for me. It's revealing in the bust, too, but my main problem was that the straps had no chance of staying up.

Cute and comfortable
I wore this out to dinner for my birthday. I could have gone with the 4 or 6, but the 4 was a little better for me in the shoulders, and the dress is stretchy, so it worked overall. The fabric is heavy and warm, which was great for the cold night I wore it on, but I would not have wanted to dance in it. It's flattering and simple.

Just ok
This was my backup dress, and my main dress (Allison Parris RSVP) was AMAZING, so I didn't wear this one. I'm glad because I didn't think this dress looked particularly cute on me. It fit and was festive for a holiday party, but it just wasn't particularly flattering. I am either a 4 or 6, but I have a wide waist/ribcage for my size, and I think this dress needs a tiny little waist to avoid looking like a sad sack. Won't rent again.

Solid for some extra sparkle
I wore this with the Allison Parris RSVP dress. I thought it worked well. A few of the sparkles had fallen off the bracelets in the bag, so I'm not sure how sturdy these are, and I was a little worried they might fly off when I was dancing, but overall I was a fan.

Amazing dress!
I wore this for my company's holiday party, and I literally have never gotten so much positive feedback on my appearance, by an order of magnitude. I rented the 6 and 8 because some said the dress runs a little small in the rib cage, and I have a wide rib cage for my size. The 6 was a tiny bit tight, but the 8 was hanging off me. The adjustable straps were great to get it just right, though when I started dancing, they loosened all the way (my only complaint). This dress is just so CUTE! The skirt is flouncy and flirty, and the top is sexy thanks to the deep V (but I never felt like I was showing too much). I had fun wearing it, and all night, people were coming up to me and telling me what a great dress it is.

Fun & flirty
This is a cute dress, and the fabric is particularly beautiful. I rented the 4 and the 6 and while both fit, I went with the 6, as my rib cage is a little wide for my height/size, so the 6 gave me a little more breathing room. Pros: the skirt has a really great amount of flounce/flare - not super poofy, and very flattering. Great fabric, great length. Cons: on me, I would have preferred that the v-neck (with the netting) was slightly less deep, as I felt like my bra was visible even though I was wearing a low cut one. I also thought that the shoulders were cut a little too narrow, even though I wouldn't say I have broad shoulders. This was a great choice for my birthday dinner. I'm not sure I'd rent it again, though, just because there are so many other great dresses I'd love to try.

Great color
There was a problem with my original backup dress, so RTR sent this one in its place. I ended up wearing my original choice and not this one, but I was glad to get to try it on. The fabric is thick, which makes it hang well. The color is really great, and true to the pictures on the site. It was a tiny bit big on top, so I would have liked to be able to try the 4 on as well, but I think the 6 might have been the right size. The dress has a high waist, which gives it a sort of 'babydoll' look. I think that's important to know - might be better for some occasions than others.

Fine, not amazing
There was a problem with my original backup dress, so RTR sent this (very similar) one in its place. Love RTR customer service! This dress fit and was cute, and as many others have said, the straps are ridiculously long. The fabric is heavy brocade, which I think feels expensive. But I just wasn't that excited about it. I didn't feel like it really did much for my figure. Would probably not rent again.

As others have noted, it's smaller than I was expecting. Fit just fine, though. I wasn't blown away by it, probably because shiny gold isn't really my thing. But it worked with my dress and other accessories, so I'm happy.

Beautiful dress
As a short person, I normally don't try to wear long dresses. But I've been having some foot problems and needed to wear some rather ugly shoes to this wedding (or face lots of pain), so I went long to hide the shoes. I've also lost a little weight recently, so I rented the 12R and 10R, not sure which would be better. I ended up going with the 10R, which was very snug around the ribcage but fit better overall on the top of the dress. I used some pins at the shoulders and hem tape to bring up the bottom about 4-5 inches (would have needed the hem tape even in tall heels). I really do not think this dress runs small... I think some other reviewers didn't pay attention to the UK sizing. The 10R really did feel like a US 4. The dress is really beautiful, and I got many compliments on it. It moves well and is very vibrant on top. I don't think long dresses look great on short girls, so I'm not sure I would rent it again, but I really enjoyed wearing it.

Flattering & fun
I wore this out for dinner & drinks on my birthday. I ordered the 6 and 8, and ended up wearing the 6. The 6 was a little shorter than I am usually comfortable with, but since I was wearing black tights and the top fit my small chest much better than the 8, I went with the 6. It was flattering and comfortable, and I got lots of compliments. Four stars instead of five because I don't think it's absolutely the most best fitting style for a short girl like me (my torso is probably a little too short), but I enjoyed it.

Loved it! (except the zipper)
This dress is a really pretty blue and a fun material that has a lot of movement, so it would be great to dance in. I am generally a 6 on top and an 8 on the bottom, so it just depends on the dress what size fits. In this case, I think the 8 was the right size (that was the only one I had). But BEWARE - you must have another person help you to get the side zipper up! The zipper is this silly, tiny, squat thing (about 4 millimeters long. Seriously.), and since the top of the dress is totally ruched (which always makes zippers harder to get up), it was completely impossible to get the zipper up the bodice by myself. And I live by myself, so I was SOL. Tightness was absolutely not the problem, as I could hold the dress completely closed easily, but I just could not get the zipper to work. As long as I know I'll have another person handy when I'm getting dressed, I'd totally rent this again!

Cute & girly!
While not the sexiest dress ever, I thought this dress was super-cute, and I'd totally rent it again. It's a really pretty deep teal color. I rented the 8 as a backup, and it fit, though I think next time I'll try to get a 6 and 8, as the 6 might have fit better. The 8 was just a little loose around my rib cage. I'm a 6 on top and 8 on the bottom, so it just depends on the dress what size ends up being better for me.

Close, but not quite
I really wanted to like this dress, and maybe another Herve Leger might work, but this one wasn't great for me. I rented the M and L, and could have potentially worn either (though the M was really tight!). I'm small-chested and have a relatively wide rib cage for my size, and both sizes of the dress were really unflattering for my bust area. I liked the way the dress fit otherwise, but even with a push-up bra, I just felt smashed up top, which sort of ruined the sexiness of the dress for me. Maybe another style with thinner straps would have allowed my bust to retain at least some shape.

Beautiful, but not wonderful
This dress is beautiful, and I got many compliments on it, but it wasn't as great as I'd hoped when I rented it. I rented the 6 and 8 as I am pretty small on top but larger in the hips, but I found even the top of this dress to be VERY snug, so I wore the 8. Pros: beautiful design, great (and unusual) colors Cons: runs a bit small on top, wool fabric is heavy and the wide weave also caused some bra show-through in photos using flash, fit is long in the torso and overall length for a short person, zipper is basically impossible to get up on your own due to the ruching

Easy & cute
I am often a 6 on top and an 8 in the hips, but since the hip area of this dress is loose with a bit of stretch, I was able to wear the 6 with no issue. The shape of the dress is a little plain, but the sequins help make it more special, and I got a lot of compliments on it. Sequins were a little scratchy on my arms, but not bad at all.

I'm both short and a bit pear-shaped, so it can be scary to pick a dress without being able to try it on in advance. Part of why I picked this one is that it's not form-fitting, which makes it more likely that it will work. And it did! I wore this to a relatively conservative family wedding, and it was a great choice. Length isn't a problem with this dress for shorter ladies, and I got lots of compliments. Doesn't have much "wow" factor, but it's a solid choice.

Too short?
I wanted to get the 8 and 10, but only the 8 was available (I usually wear an 8). I'm only 5'2", but the skirt felt too short for me, especially as it rode up when I walked around, so I wore my backup dress instead. I think the 10 would have been looser in the hips, which would have helped, but I'm confused when I look at other people's pictures... it really seems like the dress I had was shorter than what some of the other ladies had. I'm considering trying this again when I can get the 10, because it was really cute otherwise.
