This dress feels like a slice of heaven. I wrapped in a soft green cloud that complemented all my curves and hid my tummy and upper arms. It's a head-turner, a compliment generator and with all of the other Artistic ensembles present for this amazing show... the Culture Reporter of our local paper wanted to photograph us for the article. Our brilliant Bridesy chose this flattering dress from RTR for her bridesmaids to wear, and if I had it all to do over again, I would have done the same. How hard is it to find ONE dress that looks good on a variety of shapes and sizes from a size 4 to a size 12? It was comfortable, even for an outdoor wedding in Florida, and photographed beautifully. It also video-recorded extremely well. When we were dancing, we don't look like cheesy disco balls, we look more like glittering crystal. So, I'm guessing the movement is lovely. Yes it's sequins, but it's less Vegas and more Magic.

This dress is so well made. PRO: It has dense luxurious fabric that stays in place. The color is a knock out. I rented this to wear to a wedding as an assistant to the photographer. A storm moved the wedding indoors, but my skirt stayed in place through all the wind. CON: The strange pleats above the waist have a mind of their own. CON for RTR: As you can see, that belt was not the belt that was supposed to come with the dress. I'm sure if there had been a belt it would have been amazing. Customer service fail: I messaged them about the belt and they simply replied they would note the account. No help? I had to rush out and try to find something at the last minute. In my small town, this was the best I could do. I would rent it again for the price, but order it a couple of days in advance in case they forget the belt.

I rented this for my Pecha Kucha presentation because I wanted something simple, classic, neutral and that would stay put while I gestured. I was also hoping it would breathe because I get really nervous & warm before public speaking. This was the ideal dress for all of the above reasons. The only con: The bottom is snug and has zero give/forgiveness. Even the six was a little snug as you can see by the pleats the tension created, but the solution is to order a size (or two) up. The excellent tailoring can handle it. Enjoy! I know I did.

... And I mean that in the best possible way. Once you pay for your insurance and shipping, you can just order whatever you want, whenever you want. Forget about the pesky shipping fees. I will probably order at least one dress a month for events, which means I'm saving over $100 a year just on shipping alone never mind the peace of mind of knowing that if someone spills their wine on me I won't owe the full price of the dress. That alone makes me dance a little longer.

I love love love the bold flattering color of this dress in person. There is no shifting and gapping in the top. This is a very comfortable dress that breathes well. I would especially recommend it for an outdoor wedding since it could easily be dressed up or down with accessories. I wore this to Sunday brunch, which isn't really a special occasion, but I didn't want my first experience with RTR to be a special occasion just in case something went wrong. I'm happy to report, the entire experience with RTR was flawless. The delivery and the return could not have been more perfect. One note: This dress is fitted in a structured not clingy way in the bodice, the waist, and down through the hips... then it A-lines out. If you are self conscious about your hips or waist, order a size up for a less tailored fit in those areas. Overall, I'd definitely order this dress again to wear.
