I knew what I was getting into from the shape of the dress, I belted it where an empire waist would be and liked the look. My issue was the sleeves. They were shorter than wrist length and HUGE, like the picture does not do the sleeves justice. They would get bunched in my jacket, looked fine without, but was surprised. The V was a bit revealing, but if you buttoned the top button (at the top of the neck), it was totally fine. Loved the pattern + embroidery. Got tons of compliments at work.

I am between an 8 and a 10, the 8 fit a little snug (I could zip myself but deep breaths were a little hard). I'm a 34D and the top fit. The dress is definitely poofy, a layer underneath to keep the shape, but not so much that it was in the way. It runs short! I am 5'8 and I wore flats and it was about an inch above the floor. The material was gorgeous and definitely good for colder weather.

Loved how I felt in this dress, though I ordered the wrong size (normally a size 10 US, ordered a 48R, should have tried the 46). The straps were SUPER long, had to fasten them to make it work (would imagine they would be just as long on the right size), the length was just above my ankles and I'm 5'8, so definitely for tall ladies. I felt so beautiful in this dress & the color is stunning. There were just a few things about the dress that didn't make it perfect (length, just a little too long, straps, way too long, wrinkles very easily, even though it's a thicker material (which I did love!)). I wore it with a black leather jacket, which I did take off, but beware, I couldn't even wear one of my backless strapless bras with it (clasped or unclasped!) because it showed.

Like everyone said, this dress runs SO LARGE. I am always a 10 and the 8 was baggy. Also, the images don't do a great job showing the slits in the back. There's a vertical slit down the center (normal) and then two horizontal slits where the top of the dress meets the skirt. I wore a cami so it didn't bother me at work, but it was odd. The pattern was gorgeous and the dress was comfy.

I loved this dress! like the other reviewers said, it's a lot more comfortable with a cami under it- the orange bit that breaks up the dress under the bust and at the calves is see through, so people will be able to see your underwear on the sides if the color isn't nude or covered by a longer cami/slip. Other than that detail, the dress was amazing. I loved the cut, the neck, everything. I kept getting so many compliments and the best part was that it felt like wearing a night gown! I loved how chic I felt in this dress.

I thought, that by looking at the other reviews, sizing down would help. I was sorely mistaken. This jacket is the most bizarrely constructed piece I've ever worn. The shoulder seam starts a solid 6 inches below your actual shoulder, the sleeves are huge. The jacket is huge. Because I sized down, the sleeves were a bit too short. I truly don't know what type of person could pull this coat off. Maybe a short, big football player? The color was gorgeous, though.

Cute top with a loose fit. Could see expecting mommas rocking this top with a bump. The sleeves were very fun, and comfortable. The back of the top was a bit low, I wish it had been just a bit higher to allow for a regular bra (or have a strap to secure your bra to the 2nd strap. The top itself has a very high neck/collar. I have a low back strapless bra that I wore with this that wasn't ideal, but it worked. I did receive a lot of compliments on it, but wouldn't rent again.

Beyond perfect! I don't think I've ever gotten so many compliments from strangers and friends alike on a rental. I loved this dress - it's over the head with an elastic waist band. The dress itself and beyond comfortable. I loved the slight detailing around the edges and the off the shoulder look was perfect. Sometimes I feel like an off the shoulder dress or top can hit me in a spot that makes me look wide, but this was the perfect level. Like all the dresses RTR has- I received so many compliments on this one! I wore it for an end of summer wedding - was very warm out and this dress was perfect! The lining only goes to above the knee, and the lace overlay didn't make things hot at all! Pros- gorgeous color, loved the gold stitching (I think it's hard to see in photos, but adds such a touch in person!), flattering, top is tight and with the lace detail, I didn't need to wear a bra (which isn't common at a 34/36 D/DD. Lace was very soft, didn't itch or scratch. Cons- I carry my weight in my stomach - the liner on the large was tight! I ended up having to wear Spanx - happy I did, they made the dress perfect. Also, the regular was very short, I'm 5'9 and it was above my ankle. I don't think it looked bad, but definitely impacted my shoe choice.

I got this dress as a replacement when the original dress I wanted wasn't fit to be sent. RTR was AMAZING. They reached out, asked me to send some favorite styles and that they would work to accommodate and respond to me ASAP. The initial email I got was at 9am on Tuesday (Thursday rental), by 12pm on Tuesday I knew I had 2 new dresses coming that I was just as excited about. While it wasn't ideal that my original dress wasn't available, I appreciate that RTR checks the clothing and wouldn't send me something in disrepair. Their service was impeccable and I can't wait to rent another dress! I wore this for a city wedding in Chicago. The dress was amazing. The 8R was the perfect length to wear flat sandals for me (5'9). I didn't have to wear a bra with the dress (36D), just some tape on the sides. I received the 8 and the 10. The 8 had the belt (it's sewn on, so you can't transfer it to the other dress) and the 10 did not. The 10 also seemed like some of the material around the chest (toward the armpits) had un-bunched (I don't know how else to explain it). It felt far more voluminous and not in a good way. The material on the 8 was secured and looked great. The dress was extremely comfortable and does run a bit big, size down if you're between sizes!

I rented this in the 8R and 10R, unfortunately, the 10 became unavailable at the last minute (RTR came to the rescue and sent me my dream dress). I tried this dress on in the 8 and it's gorgeous! A few comments, it is short, I would not have been able to wear heels at all with the gown (5'9). The fabric is very heavy, I do not recommend for any summer weather as it would have been far too hot! On the plus side, I would not have worn a bra of any kind with the dress (36D), just some tape on the sides. Will definitely rent this dress in a 10 for a Fall, Winter or early Spring event!

Loved the weight of the dress - I'm a 34D and I didn't have to wear a bra with the dress - not even a sticky one, which was a huge plus. Like other comments say - the top part could have used some darting. You can kind of see the puckering on the left part of my picture. I used fashion tape and positioned it to not gape, but it definitely required extra prep. The skirt is fairly long, I'm 5'9 and I thought it felt more tea-length. All in all, would definitely wear it again if I owned it!
