I loved this dress; fit on top was perfect in the Large but I chose not to wear this to the wedding I was going to. The slit is quite high and since it's in the side (instead of on the front), it was too revealing for the occasion. My body shape is all hips and small on top - there's stretch in the fabric & the slit opening hit at the widest part of my hip, so it stayed open...this was for a friends wedding so again to me it felt inappropriate for the occasion. I'd definitely wear it for GNO!

A great statement without being too blingy or over-the-top. Surprisingly lightweight. Every once in a while the hinged side would spin the the front, but it wasn't a big deal (I'd say my wrist is an average size). If your wrists are super skinny I wouldn't recommend since it would definitely spin all night.

The dress was just as described in the details; comfortable enough to dance, eat, and move in. Because of my body type I typically got for a matte jersey dress or fit & flare style since my top is about 3 sizes smaller than my hips. I was torn on what length to order as I'm right at the end of the regular length scale...when I received & tried in the 8R it was the perfect length, however I was barefoot! I loved the way the train followed behind me, but I was concerned that it was too short with the 4" pumps I had planned on wearing. I stuck with the outfit, even though I felt the dress was now too short in length with the shoes. Once at the event, it proved to be the PERFECT length for 2 reasons: my beautiful shoes were able to be seen & the train didn't get in the way/stepped on by the many guests at the wedding.
