I didn't end up wearing this to a formal wedding, since another option felt more dressy, but I did like it. As others have mentioned the straps are sort of stretched out and curled up on the sides - which doesn't bother me a lot, and looked okay, but for the steep price you'd want it to be perfect! This of course fits well, sucks you in, made my butt look great, and allowed me to wear a bra which I like. But I would've had to keep tugging it up to keep my bra from showing with the stretched out straps. I got it because I've always wanted to rent a Herve Leger dress, but I think this one isn't quite special enough to merit the HL price tag.

Wore this to a formal wedding. It was very comfortable and flattering, hides lumps and bumps, and I was psyched I could wear a bra with it. It does come with some structure/padding but I prefer a bra. It definitely emphasized my curves, although I would've loved it if it nipped in more at the waist - I don't have a small waist at all, but I felt like it was a little lose there. There's ruching on the back that made my butt look amazing (TBF, it is amazing). It's a little longer in the back then the front, almost like a mini train. I wore maybe 4 inch heels and am short 5'3", and you could see my shoes in the front but not in the back. Wore the 42R size. Waist about a 32" and hips 44", 5'3", 163. Tried on the 44R size and it seemed to fit the same, just a little more fabric around the waist.

This is a pretty dress, certainly, but it wasn't quite as expensive looking as I'd hoped, something about the fabric overlay. The fit was also very strange on me. I'm 5'3" and nothing is EVER too short on me, and this dress was really short. The regular length hit me above the ankle which just looked odd. It was also really snug in the chest, in a way that sort of mashed my boobs down instead of hoisting them up. It made me look very wide and broad, didn't nip in enough at the waist. No stretch really. It's weird that a dress that's made to look sort of like a corset up top doesn't pull you in at the waist or lift your chest. I ended up wearing another rental. I'm probably 44" hip, 32" waist, 34c up top, muscular.

I don't normally wear figure-hugging dresses because I'm quite wide in the hips, but this dress was very flattering. I wore it with good spanx, and between that and the texture of the fabric, you can't see any lumps or bumps which is so nice. Length was good, maybe a hair on the short side with high heels (I'm 5'3" and wore maybe 4 inch heels). Top is very supportive and has padding so I was able to go without a bra. I did try it with a bra and you could just about pull it off, if you really want to wear one. This dress was lowcut without actually displaying a ton of boobs which was nice, sexy but not in poor taste.

There were many things I liked about this dress, but in the end it just didn't work with my body. I don't have a very large bosom or a very perky bosom, and this dress made it look like I was quite flat because the boobs are so separated. I think it would look great on someone with a little more on top. That said, the top was snug. Straps were too long, skirt of the dress was heavy. I knew it would be a heavy material and that the skirt would be quite large, and I was up for it, but it just didn't look good on my proportions.

This dress fits beautifully, and the style is easy to wear - it's only fitted through the waist so wider hips/thighs don't make a difference for the fit. I wore it with a bra because I need a little oomph, but I'm sure busty women wouldn't need one. It is low-cut and I had to keep adjusting my bra to hide it. Quality is great, the fabric of the skirt is really cool and multi-layered, with a hidden slit, so it flows beautifully when you walk. Lots of compliments. I'm 5'3, 150 lbs and I was able to wear the 6R. Length was brushing the floor with 4" heels.

This is a nice dress, and I didn't totally hate how it looked on me. But I chose not to wear it in the end. It fits like a shift from the bust down, so not tight over the hips or stomach, which hides a lot. But the arms, shoulders, and bust were VERY snug on me in both the medium and large sizes, which made it look sort of unbalanced and ill-fitting. A slighter, slimmer person than me, with a small bust, could probably wear this and look great, because it would fit like a shift dress. On me with curves and thicker arms/shoulders, it looked odd. I will say that it is very forgiving in the stomach and hips, which was nice.

I got this dress as a backup and didn't end up wearing it because the other was more exciting. However, this is a nice, flattering dress and would've been fun to wear I'm sure. The material is thick but lightweight, and it really was very flattering in the waist and bust area, good for showing off cleavage if you have it but not at all in bad taste. The gray print is simple and I think I found it a little too simple or boring for a fancy event, but for something more lowkey or for the office it's perfect.

I feared this might be the sort of dress that only looks good on tall, willowy women, but I have to say it was very flattering! I am wide and heavy in the hips and thighs, but this emphasized that in a good way. I'm currently 160 lbs at 5'3", and I wore the 10. It was tight in the hips, yes, but it needs to be for the right fit. I definitely had extra space in the waist and bust, but the dress didn't show it. Got lots of compliments! It's low but not too low cut, and I could wear a regular bra which I love!

I really loved this and got a lot of wonderful reactions to it. I wore it for 70s themed gala, and lots of women told me it was exactly right for the era. It was comfortable (like wearing sparkly pajamas I told everyone) and forgiving, although I did wear with shapewear as the waist and stomach area is very fitted. It's true you get a little rub from sequins but that's normal. Very lightweight. My main complaint with it is that it was too short for my taste, and I'm ONLY 5'3"!! It hit just at the top of my foot barefoot, so with heels looked silly. I really feel like a loose leg jumpsuit should at least come near the floor. I wore flat boots and made do, but seems like if you like a floor length fit you should size up. It's stretchy and I could've worn 10 or 12, but went with 12 for a little more length at the bottom. I had the same problem with another RTR jumpsuit, so short! It's surprising since I'm super short.

This dress has a great cut and the color is perfect, but it runs very, very large. I wish I had more reviews to judge by, I would've ordered smaller. I'm somewhere between an 8 and 10 typically, but the 8 in this dress was large all over - shoulders, bust, waist - by literally inches. I'm not even sure if a 6 would've fit. It's a heavy scuba-esque fabric so I think it needs to be tight to look good, otherwise it just floats our from your body and doesn't hang at all. It's a pretty dress with a stunning neckline, so I would still recommend it to others - but size down at least one size, maybe even two for your backup.

This dress is really striking and lovely, the blue lace overlay is beautiful. Reviewers are right that the cap sleeves don't really allow you to lift your arms up, but I didn't mind it at all. Really if your wedding dancing requires a lot of arm waving you should probably reconsider that. I have full hips and this was so flattering, the curved lines along the sides emphasize curves. I just wish the waist had been a little more fitted, but I'm sure that's because I had to size up for these hips! Lots of compliments. Also I'm very short but the length on this was really nice, not too long and still above the knee. Not a lot of room for big boobs, but that's not a problem I have. I love the style of this dress but it just didn't work - the bust is oddly shaped and very large, so unless you have big boobs (that you don't mind showing off a LOT) it just won't fit you. I assumed because it was a halter that this would be more adjustable, but no matter how tight you tie it the fabric bunches out at the sides and it's very unflattering. There's not much support at all, the fabric is light and flimsy with no cups to make it fit. It was also too long on me which was unflattering as well, but I'm short so it might look great on someone tall. I couldn't wear it, which is the first time that's happened with RTR!

I liked this dress because it was flattering and comfy, easy to wear for an all day wedding. The neckline makes it sexy but the flared skirt and skirt length keep it wedding appropriate (don't get me started on the miniskirts I saw...). I carry my weight in my butt, hips and thighs, so a dress like this is so perfect to flatter and hide at the same time. I originally rented something more form-fitting but when I thought about tugging it down all day, sucking it in, wearing spanx in 80-90 degree weather - I'm so glad I switched my rental to this instead. Pockets were so convenient and I loved them. The compliments! Everyone was asking about my dress and where I got it, I think the unusual color makes it a stand-out at a wedding. A friend of mine is in the process of renting this dress now for her own event - so I think it was a success. My one warning, as other reviewers mentioned - the straps are long so have fashion tape or safety pins, or you'll be pulling them up all night. I pinned mine to bra straps and it worked fine. That's the only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5.

This was just my back up dress so I never ended up wearing it, but it was not my style at all. The fit was big so it wasn't flattering, and the length is really not suited to shorter gals. I loved this dress and got so many compliments on it. Even at an event where everyone was wearing red, it stood out (and matched the red carpet perfectly!). It really flows beautifully when you walk, and is very comfortable. A very expensive, luxurious looking dress - everyone asked where I got it! I would definitely recommend sizing up for your back up size just because you can't be sure how the waistband will fit over your ribcage (the waistband is very wide), and the fit at the very top could be snug as well depending on your shoulders. I'm 5'3" and the dress just grazed the floor barefoot - I couldn't have got away with tall heels, but I wasn't planning on it anyways. Fabric is just the tiniest bit sheer so I wore spanx to disguise underwear - if you have flesh toned underwear you'll be fine.

This dress was perfect for a work gala I attended - it really stands out among all the black and gray dresses you see at these types of events. Everyone complimented me on it! It was gorgeous, and form-fitting without being too sexy for a work event. The color was beautiful, the fabric and construction was great, and the dress looked hardly worn. I also had a size 8 as a backup - it still had the tags on! For me this ran true to size, but the armholes are small and you definitely won't be lifting up your arms at all because of the straps. This wasn't a problem for me but might be for some. The bodice was wonderfully constructed, and held me in just like you want and expect from a designer dress. No need for spanx at all, and I wore a bra and just kept the bra straps under the dress's straps with no trouble at all. You wouldn't need to wear a bra though - I just did for more ooomf. In terms of length some might find it a bit short. On me (5'3") it was fine with 4" heels, but if you're tall or wear skyhigh heels you might want the long version. Super happy with this rental, just wish I had more fancy events to go to!
