Better for less curvy body?
I liked the neckline and wanted to love this. But it made me appear pregnant by tenting out a bit below the smocked area. I wore with a blazer and boots to minimize this. Husband also didn’t like the material, but I thought it was softer than it looked. I did get compliments while shopping after work.

Conflicting reviews made clear
I ordered this in my size and it was tiny. So tiny I knew something was wrong. It clearly shrunk badly. I contacted RTR and they did an exchange. Same size, completely normal fit. Took off a star because the material was a little uncomfortable. Not super scratchy, just not quite soft either.

Loved it
A u wired bra was perfect with this dress. I loved it. Ran a little big but the smaller of my between sizes fit perfectly. Length was perfect with a 3” heel as well. Color is amazing! Don’t rent if you aren’t comfortable showing cleavage.

Wore for halloween
Felt like a cross between Stevie Nicks, Wednesday Addams and Madonna. Wore on Halloween and channeled the 90s goth vibe. Shoulders puffed a little more than expected, but not a deal breaker. Be prepared, it is see through.

Listen to reviewers - boobs for days
I thought I could get away with this with a blazer. Tried on before traveling with the wrong bra, cleavage looked okay but bra showed. Then took on business travel with a bra that wouldn’t show but it made me inappropriately chesty for a business meeting. Didn’t wear. Husband said it looked fine and people know women have a chest so would have worn on a date or socially, just didn’t feel comfortable for a work conference.

Liked with a slim black pant
I wanted to love this with the matching pant but it just didn’t work as well with those - they were unevenly worn. I tried a wide leg and with the drop length it just didn’t flatter my curves / apple /pear body. I felt it worked with slim black pants and slim leg jeans. I did find it gaped open as I sat in meetings. I preferred it with no shirt underneath but wore a cami to protect from any oops moments.

Thick arms
This fit cutely and ran true to size. I hadn't realized how thick the arms would be. The braid detail is really braided so it is thick underneath. But with a little attention to smoothing it wore fine. My 12 year old size 0 daughter actually thought it was really cute and wore it one night and looked adorable too. So while it fir true to size, sizingbup also works. So I would opt up if you are between sizes.

Fit as expected. True to size. But because the botton is gathered and it blouses, I should have worn it with something other than black pants. Made me look a little blobby. Would have been better with a different color to vreak it up.
