This dress has a crepe texture with a light lining. I didn't feel it was see through but definitely needed nude undergarments. It's fine to wear a normal bra! Some reviews indicated the dress would read more gold - I thought the gold was *very* subtle, it read as a true winter white. I am typically a 4P and this felt like a true 4 - the sleeves were just an inch or so long which is to be expected if you are short. I tend to be more conservative at work events so went with a lower nude heel. My second size was out of stock and RTR followed up with an alternate - but I was happy with my original choice!

This dress did double duty at two parties in one night - it was great to have on long sleeves for an outdoor cocktail hour. It is definitely short (even for a short girl). Would totally rent again!

This dress runs large, so you may want to order two sizes down depending on your preferred fit. I am solidly a 4 and thought the 2 was a bit loose. The shorter skirt is perfectly balanced by the longer sleeve and durable lace (no annoying snags). Boat neck is perfect for a regular bra (and spanx, should you need them!). I am petite and thought the dress looked a bit 'heavy' with black tights and pumps, so I'd recommend nude shoes for shorter gals. Should be noted that RTR shipped this *early* in anticipation of the holidays, it was nice to know they were thinking ahead.

I rented this dress for a summer wedding. I entered the dates wrong and RTR had the dress overnighted to me at no cost! I am typically a bottom heavy 4P, but the bustline wasn't snug enough on the 4 so I went with the two. I would be careful with this dress if you are top heavy, the cups are well defined and petite. A couple people asked me if it was a designer gown or a bridesmaid's dress, I was happy to put my hands in the pockets and brag about RTR :)

I wore this to a formal gala, first experience with RTR and of course it was great. I am short and curvy but this dress has a lot of stretch, ordered the 2R and 4R and wore the 2R (I probably couldve gotten away with the 0R, which is suprising as I am usually a solid 4P). You can wear this with a regular bra which is so helpful! I wore 4 inch heels and they were barely enough, so don't skimp on your heels short ladies. Just a little hollywood tape was needed to hold down the cowl. Only a small slit in the back so it did get a little warm dancing all night.
