Cute style, but not for every body
I am a bit too short and hippy for this dress. It felt a lot like an easy dress meant for a much taller person. It was a little too long and the neckline too low. I intended to wear it on a beach vacation so the low-cut was fine. The real deal breaker was how tight it was on my hips/bum. Loose and flowy everywhere else, but only just wide enough to fit my hips. I tried playing with the buttons to see if there was a way I could make it work, but - it did not look cute at all.

Well made, runs large for Theory
I find Theory generally runs pretty small - especially in the shoulders and sleeves. So for this dress I sized up. For once, that was the wrong instinct! This dress was very stretchy and definitely cut a little broader than other Theory dresses I've worn or owned. I'd stick to true to size on this. Otherwise, it is very cute and a good work to evening dress. Incredibly comfortable and the A-Line floats away right at your true waist.

Amazing dress - but too snug for me!
Likely generally runs a little snug and this dress was no exception. High quality and a great cut but I just could not wear this to work. Little bit too figure accentuating. If you haven't worn Likely before - size up! I'm a 0 in most brands but a 2-4 in Likely and always have issues with whether my bum/thighs will fit.

Why are the pockets sewn shut?
Seriously RTR? The pockets are deliberately sewn shut. I did not receive a new item that had factory-added lightweight stitching for shipment. Instead I received a jacket that had clearly been machine-sewed. Such a bummer! Also, it very clearly has pockets. The inside is not lined and the seams for the pockets indicate there are some really wonderful deep pockets hiding behind this stitching! It is otherwise fabulous - great fit, nice weight, love the gray. But seriously, I want pockets RTR!

How can something run small and large at the same time?
The sleeves are hopelessly overlong, yet the shoulders are tight. I am fairly petite but find I usually have to size up in theory dresses and tops because their clothes are not made to accommodate broader shoulders. Despite sizing up, this dress is still unfortunately snug in the shoulders, so much so that I couldn't zip up the back. Yet the sleeves came down over my hands and past my fingers. I don't have short arms. Oh and the fabric is itchy, but it is too form fitting on top to wear anything underneath. Three stars because it is well made, and for someone, somewhere, the proportions are probably perfect.
