5’7”, 160 pounds and normally wear a size 10. I ordered both a size 10 and 12 and the size 10 was far too large. On the side without the shoulder strap, it was far too large over my breast and you could see my entire breast through the gap between fabric and skin. I would totally try this dress again, but in a size 8. It’s so pretty and different than other gala and ball gowns.

The 6R was a little too snug, so luckily the 8R was my backup. It was a bit short with heels on my 5'6" frame - my toes were certainly showing. So for women who like longer gowns, I would recommend the Long size.

This purse went well with my dress, though it's quite "floppy" and doesn't hold its shape until you really start adding items into it. Also, there were no interior pockets or card holders - I typically only want to take my ID and debit card to a formal event like this. So these two cards were left floating around within the interior of the purse.

I'm 5'6" and 145 lbs. the 6R fit great. I wore 2.5" heels and probably could have used another inch or so as the dress was a tad long for my taste (and safety due to tripping, etc). Dress felt secure and comfortable all night long, through dancing and multiple vehicle trips and walking in winter boots and then changing into heels (it's Alaska in February, we don't wear heels on icy sidewalks!). In a sea of black gowns, this dress stands out. I got five compliments just waiting in the lobby for my husband to park the car. Accessories included gold jewelry, purse, and shoes. Husband wore gold tux vest and tie.

I stopped keeping track of the compliments I recieved on this dress after about a dozen. It was such a unique dress, my biggest (and possibly only) complaint is that my event didnt last long enough! The sequins can be a bit bothersome on the arms and i readily admit i wore Spanx with the dress. But it was so worth it!
