Great dress for transitional seasons
Great dress for transitional seasons. Wore this to a dinner where the recommended dress code for men was jackets, no tie. It's always tricky not to be freezing; the weight of the dress was perfect for early May in New England. Length was also appropriate.

Wish RTR had J Crew petites
Unfortunately I did not wear either the one I rented or the backup because the proportions on the regular size did not work for my petite frame. It would be great if RTR had some petite sizes. Great fabric - I would have worn it if it didn't look oversized on me.

"formal"-length for a petite
For when you're not sure whether your interpretation of "formal" is the same as a mountain town's interpretation, this dress threads the line. Because I'm petite, the length came down to the ankles. I could have benefited from a slightly tighter bodice, and as others have pointed out, the pockets are great! The main color is somewhere between silver and grey; the fabric is shiny.

Not ideal if you have a short torso
I'm skinny and a leggy petite. I tried on the 38. This dress is very fitted in the waist. Because of this, there is no play between the waist and shoulder. Because I have a short torso, the top was too long for me.

Fun dress!
I wore this for a wedding reception in a brewery, so I needed something fun and not too formal. I've a ~29" inseam and this dress hit above the knees. In comparison to other Missoni dresses that I've worn (and another customer's comments), I did not find that there was stretch in dress, or maybe it was too stretched out. So, it was slightly big on me and not as fitted as my ideal would have been. I tried on the 40 that I ordered as well and did not notice a significant difference between the two sizes.

Great dress for shoulder season
I had tried on the S in the showroom and ordered both XS and S for the event. I went with the XS because there was slight gaping in the arm with the larger size. The thick fabric was great for holding everything in and also a great weight for an end-of-winter event. I wore this to an early evening wedding and also found it was the perfect length and color; I felt that wearing a gown would have been too formal and brighter colors too informal, so this was a great compromise.

It sparkles!
The stretchy material is fantastic to get a form fit. The dress has sparkles in the material which aren't that obvious in photos. The one down side is that if you are as short as me, the dress will be a few inches long even in high heels. It would have been *perfect* if there were a petite length.

After everything that I tried on (and that fit) at the RTR showroom was unavailable for this upcoming weekend, the stylist said that this ran smaller than the Vera Wang Chemical Reaction (which would have been perfect in a 0 because the 2 was just a little too big for me). After reading reviews, I emailed her and told her my concerns because women 10 lbs heavier than me were saying the 0 was too large. And it is. About an inch needs to be cinched on top and the hips are a little too wide. I'm debating belting it because I'm not sure I can get a dress that fits for this weekend fast enough.
