Quality dress, multiuse.

Wore this dress for a work team Halloween costume - theme was Clue and I was “Ms. Scarlett.” Wanted to look the femme fatale part while also being work appropriate, this dress fit the bill - lace was sexy but neck was high, length is to the knee. Loved the flare of the skirt, but my only complaint is that the rib cage felt kind of tight and the lining would ride up a bit. I lean Small but could wear a medium… would probably size up next time for more comfort.

Stretchy material, black tie ready, simple elegance

This dress was super comfy and forgiving for a postpartum mama attending a black tie wedding. There’s a little boning in the bust to keep its structure (I went bra less, but strapless could also work), some ruching along the midsection to contour and give shape, and stretchy-ish material to move and dance. My only complaints were: the sleeves are meant to be off the shoulder? I think? But then I couldn’t really move my arms up and down. Also, the slit in the back is HIGH, like above mid-thigh high and it would creep up as I walked around, so I was constantly adjusting. Finally, there is a short lining because the velvet is sheer when backlit. But the lining is so short it also constantly needing tugging and adjusting. Overall, would rent again for the price and ease of having a black tie gown.

Works for 32 weeks pregnant

Rented this for our baby shower at 32 weeks pregnant. It was great and billowy, and I used my own belt to secure it around my ribs and really accentuate the belly. Unfortunately, my rental didn't come with the included sash, but a black belt worked just fine. Pre-pregnancy, I wore a size 2/4, and the 4 worked great in this. My only complaint is that the slip underneath is more fitted, and because of my belly size, the zipper in the back puckered a bit.

Maternity and bump friendly at 25 weeks

Rented this dress for some maternity holiday photos and the color is perfect for fall! The material is very forgiving and hugs curves well without feeling like compression. Pre pregnancy, I'm usually a XS/S depending on the brand. Ordered this dress in the small and medium and ended up wearing the small. Probably could have worn the XS because there was a little bunching in the back because small was just a tad too big. Length was mid-calf on my 5'3" frame and looked great with black booties!

Great color and flow

This dress has a great color and is really vibrant. Loved the print, not too floral and girly. The wrap style makes it versatile for different sizes, but I definitely needed to use the hook and eye closure to keep the top shut. It was very low cut for me, but it doesn't look noticeable in photos.

Loved the skirt and color, top had a weird fit

I rented this for an awards banquet at The University of Texas, and it was the perfect shade of burnt orange to show my school spirit! The pleated skirt was great and very forgiving, had excellent flow; but like many reviewers have already noted, the top is VERY low cut and requires double-sided tape to keep it shut. Even with tape, the bottom breast panel (for the left side) kept doing this weird "cupping" thing on my boob that made me super self-conscious; luckily I was able to put my nametag over it to cover it up. I probably wouldn't rent again because of how self-conscious this dress made me, but for a quick dinner and a few photos, it did the trick.

Professional style with a fun print!

Rented this dress for college graduation that I was working, so it needed to be "business casual" but I still wanted it to be fun and celebratory. Great dress that matched my more conservative work setting and had a fun print to be festive. I am normally a 2 in dresses, but wore a 4 in this dress because the 2 was hard to zip up. The size difference wasn't noticeable and the 4 didn't look like I was swimming in it. This fabric is a little lighter, less weighty than other dresses I've worn, so it worked great for the Texas summer.

Simple and elegant for a "Texan Formal" wedding

This dress had a great weight and was wrinkle free out of the bag! Like other reviewers mentioned, the cups are a little weird and pointy if you're smaller chested because you won't fill out the dress as well. I didn't mind it. I'm normally a 2 in RTR styles, but could barely zip that size up. Difficult to lift your arms overhead, so not my favorite rental for a dance party wedding. Also, I almost always get compliments when I wear an RTR dress, but no one said anything about this dress :/ I still felt beautiful and sophisticated in it, hugs you in and the vertical seams were slimming.

Summer-Spring Dress with Perfect Flow!

I received this dress as a last-minute replacement because the original dress (Tracy Reese yellow dress) I ordered was unavailable to be shipped in time. I wore this for my engagement photos and specifically wanted something yellow to be reminiscent of LaLa Land/Emma Stone - this dress totally fit the bill! Lots of flow that photographed well and a modest top that was made interesting/unique because it cuts in a bit at the collarbone and is "pleated." The attached rhinestone belt is understated and adds just enough pizzazz to make this a great wedding guest dress. When I tried it on at home before the photoshoot, my fiance said it was one of HIS favorite rentals (and I've rented, like, 10+ dresses from RTR). My biggest concern was that the high-low hem would be too long on my 5'3" frame, but it didn't look weird at all; also, the only available size to send me was a 0R, and I'm usually a 2 in dresses... the 0 fit GREAT! I have a smaller bust (32C) and tiny waist though, so perhaps its more true to size for larger busts. Fits great on large hips because of flow!

Sexy red dress

I met my future husband while wearing the blue version of this dress, so I rented the red one for our engagement photos. I ended up not wearing it because the other RTR dresses I rented were all so beautiful and I could only do so many wardrobe changes :) but the dress looks great on, excellent for people with tiny waists and larger hips because the full skirt is more forgiving than a fitted skirt.

Good dress, just not for my occasion

I rented this dress for our spring time engagement photos, but ended up with the backup dress (Badgley Mischka) because it had more flow and movement. This dress is well constructed, but it was a little too stuffy, stiff, and structured for the vibe I wanted to create. I also didn't love where the waistband sat on me. I'm 5'3" and the dress hit below my knees and the straps were too long, as others have noted. I would go one size down for backup.

Fun, easy dress!

The color on this dress is phenomenal, and the open back is unique! Those were my favorite parts of this dress. However, the dress is more cheaply made than other dresses I've rented from RTR - there was slight puckering on the front hem of the dress and the material is definitely polyester and thin. Wear a nubra or pasties or you WILL show through!

Classy sparkle that's versatile for lots of occasions!

I rented this dress for a dinner date night to celebrate getting engaged! I loved how luxe the sequins felt, they are really sewn on well and not dangling/hanging off. There is some stretch in the material, but it gives more of a "hugged" or "compressed" sensation than a looser spandex stretch. I ordered the small (normal size) and medium (one size up) as back up. Wavered between the two sizes because: sleeves felt a tad snug, bottom was tight on hips, worried about tummy pooch. Ultimately went with small because the medium felt too baggy on top (32C chest). Again, this dress hugged me in without feeling too constricted, so overall would wear the small (true) size again! For reference: 32C, 28in waist, 34in hips, size 2 in most other dresses.

Fun and sexy NYE dress

Wore this dress to a nice dinner date for New Years as it had been one of my "hearts" for quite some time. I loved the way the straps cut in across my collarbone, keeping the high neck (classy) and showing off a little skin still. At first I was self-conscious about some side boob coming out, but the dress material is thick and weighty, so it lays flat and keeps the gals secure. Wore the small and it was still short and tight. Maybe too short - beware if you're sitting down for a long time and you don't have a table to cover you up. Overall great dress and would rent again for another date night.

Just a hint of tasteful skin

Ordered this for a friend's birthday dinner and date night out. Definitely went with previous reviewers and wore one size up (usually a 2, wore the 4, ordered the 6 as backup). The dress was much smaller/tighter on the bottom for me, and I would have liked to size up again to the 6, but then the top would be too baggy. No stretch or give at all, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the dinner. The cutout is low enough that you can wear a normal bra, which is a plus. For reference: 5'3", 128 lbs, 32C, 25ish waist, big booty, normally size 2.

Classy, sexy, and compliments all night!

Occasion: outdoor California evening wedding in spring/summer. Dress was more navy blue than I thought from pictures, and it worked for summer with bright lipstick and bright nail polish. Could also work well in fall with more deep berry and red lips. Pairs well with nude or gold accessories because of the champagne underlay beneath the lace. I didn't wear a bra, nor fashion tape, and didn't feel self-conscious about the deep v neckline. It lays very flat on smaller chests. Arm holes are roomy and great for dancing; weight of dress is heavier, so it doesn't blow up in wind (great if you're wearing it outdoors!). I wore the small and got the medium as a backup - probably could have worn an extra small because it was a tad roomy in the chest and around the waist, but not noticeable. Overall, I'd rent this dress again in a heartbeat for numerous other occasions all season long!

Pretty, just not the dress for me

The color of this dress is beautifully soft and perfect for a spring/summer wedding. It's sexy yet conservative enough for a wedding. I only got a size 4 (RTR didn't have my backup size 2), and it fit a little large and long. I didn't love where it cut in at my waist and that it went to my knee as opposed to just above it (as it shows on the model). For petite girls, I think this dress runs the risk of looking a little too mature and matronly.

Fun dress to dance and party in

The top of this dress is high cut, so even though it is sleeveless it was appropriate for a Catholic ceremony. I loved how the bottom was looser and flowed, super fun to dance in! I got my normal size 2 and also a size down (0) and both fit well. The 0 was a little more fitted, so I went with that size although the 2 looked just as good and had more room for eating delicious wedding cake.
