I have long legs and this dress was incredibly short in me

Sized up 2 sizes and this dress was still extremely tight. Didn't love the color so returned without wearing

Super comfy dress for going out on the town - the cut out was sexy and easy to wear with a bra which is a win!

If you have a curvy bottom half this dress might not be for you, or you better size up. The bottom seems to run a size smaller than the top. I wore the 0 and the bottom half fit like a glove. I had a little extra room in the top...so if you're bigger on top but have a tiny waist and behind this is your dress! Beautiful pale pink color. I received lots of compliments all night, people loved the cut out. 

This dress fit as if it was tailor made for me! It was simple, yet elegant. It was comfortable to sit and dance in. I'm very petite(5'2, 105 lbs) and I was surprised at how snug it was. I would recommend those who are not so pint-sized to get a size up.

As many others have stated, this dress runs very small. I am usually between a 0 and 2 and the 4 was definitely snug but wearable! I got so many compliments all night, and the cut out was flirty but not too revealing. The fabric was a heavy material and absolutely gorgeous. 

This dress was unique, material was thick to really tighten everything up where it needed to be. The color was so soft and pretty but it was just so tight. I am 5'5" about 140 and the size 6 barely fit. It only zipped up with the help of 2 friends.. I could barely sit/move let alone dance. So please size UP at least 2 sizes. I'm normally a size 4 .. sometimes 6.. But I should have gotten 8 and 10 for this one..

Such a well made dress, felt like a million bucks.  So many compliments. Be warned is short, but being I am only 5'3" it was absolutely perfect!!Rented a 2 ended up wearing my back up size of a 0.

Rented for a NYE event. Good quality fabric. Definitely form fitting. The cutout was in a good place and didn't show any bra. The dress did ride up a little while dancing but nothing serious, wore blackout tights so it was a non issue.

Amazing dress and color!! Wore it to a summer wedding and got a ton of compliments. Runs small so definitely size up. I typically wear a size 4 and wore an 8 in this dress 

Wore this to a work banquet. It was the perfect amount of classy but sexy. I got so many compliments! Definitely order a size up as it does run small. I usually order a 4 and a 6 from RTR, but ordered a 6 and 8 since the reviews all said it ran small and I'm so glad I did because I wore the 8. This dress doesn't have much give and will definitely ride up when you sit down. Although it was still comfortable for a night of eating and dancing. 

I also had a wonderful customer service experience with RTR. My original dress came with a stain on it and after emailing RTR, they sent me another dress via priority overnight shipping to make sure I got it in time for my banquet. If you're on the fence about using RTR for your occasion, I would highly recommend them!!! 

Gorgeous dress. But I have no idea how they rationalize the dress sizes on this dress. The pic you see is with no undergarments because there was no room.  I'm 5'9" and an honest 10. I was holding my breath in the 12. I could barely sit down. If you have any curve, size up. Maybe even two sizes.

Very snug fit . Material is like bandaid fit . Size 4 hugged every curve and photographed well . Size 6 would have probably been more comfortable but probably would have looked too big . 

Very tight on the butt and legs so I would definitely size up, because I have worn this brand before in the same style and was a 6, but I wore an 8.

E&J dresses always fit perfectly. Cut outs were fun. Rode up quite a bit while dancing.

loved this dress! I wore out for dinner and party innVegas. the color is a pretty blush pink and the slit in the side really shows off the figure. I was unable to wear a bra as the top portion was a little tight on my boobs but the size up fell off my waist. Definitely recommend true to size. 

So many compliments and people asking where I got my dress. The fit was flattering and material though thick felt comfortable for an evening, outdoor wedding. I would definitely rent this dress again.  Very versatile to dress up or down. Absolutely loved this dress, thank you Rent The Runway!

Dress definitely runs small, the top was perfect but the bottom was a little more snug than would have liked. My daughter has pretty athletic legs though so that factored in. Another great rental!

Rented this dress for a wedding in Sedona. I loved it! The fit, color, etc. Fabric quality is very good, so it will give a little stretch, but no worrying about wrinkling. Absolutely loved it!

Size up! Sized up from an 8 to a 12 and wore this to a club in Vegas. Loved the color and the subtle sexiness this dress has to it... while covering quite a bit. It had little to no stretch but the material was thick enough to not see every line and bump. 

True to size. Small inner loops at the cut-out waist allow you hang the dress nicely so you're not creating wrinkles/you can steam it. 

I read all of the reviews before renting this and I'm glad I did. It does run small so order one or two sizes up from your norm. The style is adorable but it is incredibly fitted, so be prepared to own it! Overall, it's a beautiful dress. My boyfriend wanted to buy it because he loved it. Just a little tight for my liking. 

I got this dress for a wedding (my boyfriend actually picked it out) - he was going for a Miami Vice theme :) While it was beautiful and flattering, it was not the best for dancing. The cutout was in just the right place so I could wear a regular bra with it. I got a lot of compliments on the dress! I normally wear a size 2, but sized up to a 4 thank goodness.

I usually struggle finding dresses that fit but this dress fit me perfectly! I felt amazing the whole night! 

i sized up and still when i slouched or sat down my two inches of side fat spilled out the side. :(  may swap out for my backup dress.

It was very fun wearing this dress! Wore it at an outdoor wedding and it was very hot, so it was nice to have a pretty, shorter dress. The material is thick and is very well made. This dress was tighter on my bottom half and looser on the top so I had to wearing a more padded bra to fill it out. Overall loved this dress! So pretty and simple! 

I rented this dress for the second for my boyfriend's formal in San Diego. I also rented it to go out in PHX. The dress ran a little small and it's difficult to find a pair of underwear that doesn't show panty lines. I found that spanx aren't really an option with this dress and the dress is very tight so you need to be comfortable with that. However, it's a good length as I didn't feel uncomfortable in it and I'm 5'10. I would definitely recommend this dress.

The Elizabeth James dresses all run small, so I sized up from a 2 to a 4 and it fit well, though it's a very tight dress. The material is double-thickness, which means it is flattering on alot of body types. I did not wear a bra. I received alot of compliments. I did have a recent tan, which definitely helped me pull off this shade. Great dress, but size up.

Fit perfectly and was so comfortable. Classy with a little edge to it, made me feel like a million bucks. 

I LOVED this dress!! I got so many compliments all night long! I hated sending it back. The dress does run small and has no wiggle room. I'm usually a size 4 or 6, after reading the reviews, I decided to order a size 6 and an 8. The 6 fit, but was very tight. The 8 fit like a dream! The reviews were no joke, this dress fits like a second skin.  Probably not the best dress for a FL night because the material is so thick (super hot). Still very flattering since the material is thicker. 

When I got the dress, there was a slight tear near the back seam in the cut out section of the dress- which was pretty frustrating. Although this was the case, I loved the dress and thought it fit pretty well. The bottom part of the dress runs small, but the top part of the dress is a little bigger (at least for me) so I couldn't go up a size!

I needed something that was sexy and fun but still classy, and this totally fit the bill! Wore it to a nice dinner in Vegas. I am very busty and was worried about the placement of the cutout both in term of my bust and whether it would cut in on my side, but it was perfect on both accounts and I was totally able to wear a normal bra with it, which is always a bonus! The thickness of the fabric is super comfortable and at least a little bit forgiving (so that I could actually enjoy my steak dinner without worrying about my stomach, haha). Highly, highly recommend!

I rented this dress for my bachelorette party and I'm so glad I did. It was form fitting but comfortable. The little cut out on the side plus the V in the front give it a little sass. I was able to eat and dance in this dress without any issues. I felt beautiful all night. I will definitely be renting this dress again!

It fit very snug. I usually wear a 00 & the 0 was a little tight. It was a little tricky to walk in but dancing was fine!
