I really loved the classic color and simple style of this dress! If your event calls for a muted look, this is the dress for you. Since it was my first time attending this type of event, the navy and non-sexy details were perfect. The hi-lo combo is more subtle than I expected and I deduced it was due to the volume of fabric in the skirt. This dress is a great choice for anyone unsure of what style looks best on their body type. Bonus: it has pockets (my phone could fit!) and it didn’t require a bra or shape-wear underneath. The petite length would have fit me better since I’m short (RTR was out of my size in petite) but I made do with some 3.5” heels in the regular length. My measurements for reference: full bust 40” (band 34”), 31” waist, 40” hips, 5’2”, 150#, athletic build.

This dress felt like butter on my skin (in a good way) and I really wanted to love it. BUT I could not zip it past my waist. I could tell that the top/bust area was going to fit but if I sized up to accommodate my ribs, then the top would have been way too large. Gorgeous darker, olive green color though! Measurements: 40” full bust (34” band), 31” waist, 40” hips and I’m 5’2”. **No picture because I couldn’t zip it. 😂

First off, some measurements and sizing: I’m 5’2”, 150lbs, athletic build. Full bust 40” (band 34”), waist 31”, hips 40”. Sizing with different designers and brands vary so much, so I found it helpful when reviews had measurement details. Things I loved about this dress: the color, the sequins, the mermaid style. Things I didn’t love: The sequins were itchy, despite the fabric lining the inside being soft you could still feel the sequins scratching around the arm and neck areas. Also, the collar was way too tight around the neck. Unless you want to feel like you’re choking, opt out of this dress. I don’t think my neck is any thicker than the average female, but the collar was so tight I could barely close it and then once I did, it was difficult to move my neck and I couldn’t breath well. Finally the ruching around the stomach area bunched up kind of oddly, and actually made it look like I had a belly when in reality I don’t. Overall, I would not rent this one again. Maybe it would work better on a taller, leaner physique than mine. 5/10 ⭐️

Absolutely LOVED this dress but so bummed it arrived too late in the day for me to wear it to our event. I requested this dress as a replacement backup since the original dresses I rented didn’t fit well. RTR was amazing with the free, overnight shipping for the replacements - it was not their fault that UPS didn’t make it to our house in time, just the nature of deliveries where we live. The dress fits so well and it has a built in petticoat that gives the skirt some lift. I’m short and without heels, the regular length just barely brushed the floor so it would work perfectly with 2-3” heels for us shorties. There were no wrinkles and the fabric is thick but not too heavy, soft and luxurious. The only small detail that might be bothersome is the placement of the seams on the bodice. The seams which come into the breast area from the sides, ending near the nip area but not directly in front. It’s just a bit odd looking. Overall, I would still rent this dress again. 10/10 ⭐️
