Surprisingly cute.
Pear shaped odors, this one's for us. I love how form fitting this is on top. Had a hard time returning it even after multiple wears.

Light and breezy
This is pretty conservative (a little too conservative for me maybe) but I liked how light it was on a 97° day. It's very sheer but I dug a half slip out from the back of my drawer and it was fine.

Luxurious
While this is obviously a very beautiful blouse, I didn't wind up wearing it. I needed a smaller size, and the fabric was heavier and more voluminous that it appears.The arm holes were huge and so the sides of my bra were very visible.

Statement dress
I actually don't think my photos do justice to this dress. In person, it is obviously exquisitely made and the knit fabric is heavy and luxurious. I wore this in Paris for a wedding and a man actually stopped me on the street to tell me that my dress was "extraordinaire." It does run a little big and I think I could've gone with the XS. Also, you can't raise your arms above shoulder height without the piece of fabric that goes around your shoulders sticking up, but that was a small price to pay for wearing something so beautiful.

A joy to wear
I felt so pretty in this dress! Flattering and feminine. True to size but very long in the back. I am 5'5" and had to wear 3 3/4" heels so that it wouldn't drag on the floor behind me, but it was worth it.

Very sweet

Least favorite Proenza
This dress was very, very short. Top fit true to size and as beautifully made as all Proenza Schouler typically is. But unless your legs are your very best asset, steer clear. I did not wear it.

Wanted to love it but...
I loved the IDEA of this dress. It just didn't work for me. I don't have a stomach pouch but this dress made me looks like I did. Also it weirds me out that the back is much shorter than the front. Overall it just kind of hung on me. Maybe a size smaller would've been more flattering.

Odd fit that happened to work for me.
This dress happened to fit me perfectly, but I am definitely small on top. As such it made my waist and arms look very small so I thought it was great, but can definitely see why people would have issues with it. Would recommend to fellow pears.

Proenza never misses
I've found that this designer just works for me. I know my size in it, and at this point know when I order that it will just work. This dress in particular is missing some of the "wow" factor that some other Proenza Schouler dresses I've worn have, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I don't always need to be the girl everyone's staring at. This dress is beautifully structured and is obviously of very high quality, and sometimes that is exactly right.

As advertised.
Wore this to a concert with jeans and black boots. It was flirtatious and fun and the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars are the sleeves, which I found kind of scratchy, and the velvet wrist ties that kept untying. But overall it's quite beautiful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Can easily be dressed up or down. Note, I'm usually a size small on top but wanted a "blousier" look. The medium was perfect.

I wanted to wear this to a wedding. Tried it on and sent it right on back the same day. It does feel lovely on, but the straps are much too long. It fit fine but made my chest area look really long and I'm not sure that's a good thing. I'm going to try re-renting in a 2 to see if it makes a difference. I do think it's a nice, respectful dress to wear to a wedding with no fear of upstaging the bride or look like you're trying too hard.

First, let me tell you that this fabric is the most beautiful shade of cornflower blue, and so light that it skims your body in the most fluttery way. I saw the weird waist detail in the photo, obviously, but my waist is small and I thought it would be fine. I slipped this dress on (the size small had plenty of extra room) and looked in the mirror and found that I had instantly gained 25 pounds. My smallest feature, my waist, suddenly looked like my biggest feature and that I was trying to cover it up with ruffles. It was like magic... bad, bad voodoo magic. I recommend that you only rent this dress if you are rail thin.

original and funky
So, I didn't actually wind up wearing this dress because the bustle made it a much "bigger deal" than I needed for the occasion I rented it for. It's an incredibly fun and visually interesting dress that might feel costume-y if you don't wear it confidently. Also, it weighs a ton. I'll rent it again when I have the right occasion.

Fluttery and light
This dress feels great... like wearing a breeze. The top is flattering and elastic waist makes it an easy fit. Roomy through the hips and thighs. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that while it's lovely, it's missing the "WOW" factor in my opinion. It's ultra feminine, almost feminine-product-commercial level feminine. Having said all that, it is super comfortable and I might rent it again for the right occasion.

Fun and easy to wear
This, to me, is exactly why Rent the Runway is so great. As a friend of mine put it: Do I want to own a fuchsia pantsuit? No. Was it fun to wear one once? Yes. I am a size 4/6 and the 4 fit perfectly even on my pear shape. It was cute with a Panama hat and sandals on vacation, however I wouldn't recommend it for the tropics. The fabric doesn't breathe and isn't particularly soft, so I was happy to take it off at the end of the day. But it did look darn good in the photos.

LOVE this color
I rented this specifically for a holiday in Thailand. It was fun to wear and a head turner. It seems like a simple dress but it is well structured and actually very stylish and "finished" looking in person. It runs very large and I do wish it had pockets. A dress this voluminous has room for the pockets to have pockets! But I loved wearing it and was sad to take it off.

Breezy and pretty
I rented this for a tropical vacation and it was pretty perfect. The material is airy and light but the dress maintains its structure even in high humidity. I would definitely rent this again but next time will size down so that it fits better on top.

Showstopper.
Caution: do not wear this dress if you don't want people looking at you. This is a head turner, the dress you wear when you're ok with heads swivelling to look at you when you walk in the door. I brought it to Vegas and even there, amidst the glitz and sparkle and over-the-top-ness of it all, I felt like the belle of the ball. I am normally a size medium in Herve but would have liked this to be tighter on top. Not sure if it was this particular sample, stretched out a little maybe, but just in case I'd order a smaller size as backup.

Very sweet.
Fits great, a little scratchy at the armpit because of the sequins but nothing terrible. I enjoyed wearing it and got a lot of compliments. It looks MUCH more of a 1950s silhouette in person because of the way the skirt sticks out. Also, I am not leggy like the model is and I'm not sure if it's the horizontal lace stripes or what, but it was not a particularly slimming dress on me. Still pretty.

Loved this. It has a very "sporty" feel to it because of the racerback and black trim, so pairs easily with jeans. I took it to Vegas for a long weekend and it was a fun daytime/early evening outfit to walk around in before getting glammed up for dinner. Note that I am a size 4 on top and the size Medium was NOT big.

Fun and eye-catching!
You know when you want to look amazing but not like you're trying too hard, and you've unfortunately gained 20 pounds (add that to my profile weight) and feel miserable about it but still have to go to that party and everyone you know will be there? That was this dress for me. It accomplished everything I hoped it would. The A-line did a great job of concealing my year of eating dangerously, and the color (I am tan and brunette) popped in the best possible way. The cape part was stylish and unusual. Compliments all night long. Rent it!
