This dress was perfect for a black-tie optional wedding. Pockets were key for me since I'm on crutches (ski injury) and I could have my lipgloss handy at all times. The dress is beautifully made and the material is thick, but not suffocating. The shape is very flattering and the bodice ends at the natural waist, so it was tight without preventing me from enjoying as much food at cocktail hour and dinner as I wanted :) I wore just nipple stickies, but it was pretty supportive on top. I think a taller girl would have more support - I'm 5'2" the straps fit fine, but they were long enough that the top wasn't super tight on me (I added fashion tape to avoid flashing people when I bent down). Not a problem, but something to consider if you're even shorter than I am.

This may be the most flattering and fun dress I've ever worn. I wore this to a black tie wedding in July in New York - even though the fabric was thick, I didn't die of the heat. I received compliments from everyone, including the groom's family. I would 100% buy this dress if I could find it and would suggest anyone with an hourglass shape give this dress a try. It definitely comes in at the waist moreso than the bust or hips, so it's forgiving for larger hips and chests. I didn't need a bra at all and the top was roomy enough that someone with a larger chest would have no problem wearing the dress.

This dress was the perfect combination of fun and classic - I wore it to a more formal, but still outdoor summer wedding over 4th of July weekend. The color was the perfect red for summertime...it didn't scream "Holiday Party!" the way some red dresses do. The bow detail and open back of the dress add a fun/grown up feel to a very classic silhouette. I was worried the dress would be too hot for an outdoor wedding, but it was great.

This dress fit beautifully - I don't think it ran small, though it didn't have any stretch, so if you're between sizes you'll want to order the back-up a size up from what you typically wear. One thing to note - you ABSOLUTELY MUST iron the seams that reinforce the "bubble" pleats because it comes with all sorts of puckers from the previous dry-clean. I did this using a medium-high heat and low-steam setting and, from the inside of the dress, rolled the tip of the iron over the reinforcement a number of times so that it would roll back on itself (kind of like a snap bracelet). After ironing each one, I folded the pleat on the seam and gave it a quick once-over on the outside of the dress to ensure the outward bubbling would stay in spots where the dress wanted to pucker in. The puckers are not cute when left un-ironed. I would have given this dress 5 stars, but it takes some time to get it into wear-able shape, so just be aware before you rent! Totally worth the effort, though. Everyone at the wedding commented that my dress reminded them of a cupcake in the best way and it was a blast to twirl around in while dancing.

This dress was well constructed and perfect for my birthday dinner date in freezing cold January weather. Both the 0 and 2 fit, though I felt that the shoulders on the 0 were too narrow and squeezed the top of my arms a bit. The 2 fit comfortably, though it was not fitted at the waist - not a problem at all since I was about to eat a nice (big) meal and it wasn't too big by any stretch of the imagination. The zipper pulls on the back and wrists were both a bit worn from being cleaned after a number of rentals, but it wasn't too noticeable and I wore my hair down so the back wasn't an issue. This dress was great with heels, but since I'm short it looked a little silly with flats. The longer back of the dress made it feel more special than a standard sleeved dress and added some fun drama. Overall it was a very comfortable and flattering dress that wasn't overly formal - perfect for a dinner date.

I loved this dress and was between the 38 and 40, but went with the 38 since I thought it was more flattering a bit tighter and I didn't have to wear a bra - always a win. I'm short, so the dress hit at my knees rather than just above, but it still looked non-dowdy with heels. The print on the fabric is more faded in person than on the site, though I think it is meant to be that way - it's not just from the (I assume) frequent dry-cleaning. The dress worked well for both an engagement party that consisted of an older crowd and a friend's 28th birthday party at a bar later that night.

As others have mentioned, the straps on this dress are pretty long, so they fell off my shoulders unless I was careful to keep my posture seriously straight. I'm petite, though, and my taller friend who rented this dress in a size 4 didn't have this issue, so it could just be made for taller girls. I also felt that it would have been a bit more flattering in a size down (0), but I unfortunately had ordered a 2 and a 4 based on other reviews saying it ran a bit small. Not sure what the deal is with sizing, but the color and crafting of the dress is beautiful and I had a great time wearing it, even though it was a tad large. My boyfriend suggested I buy the dress, so the strange fit really couldn't have been too noticeable! I'd rent again a size down.

The dress fit as expected - tight on the bottom (in the right way) and looser on top. The sleeves were a bit tight since I don't have stick-thin arms and wore the XS, but still fit after a bit of a adjusting. I did need some strategically-placed safety pins to keep from having a wardrobe malfunction on top since I didn't have fashion tape handy to keep the neckline from totally opening up. Overall super cute and comfy dress for a night out dancing.

The fabric and style of this dress are beautiful - I wish that I had fit into either size I rented! I ordered the 2 and 4 based on previous reviews that suggested sizing up may be necessary to be sure the dress isn't too tight in the hip area. They were totally right - unfortunately, the chest of the dress ran super large compared to the hips and I couldn't have worn either size. This dress would be best for someone with more of a straight-and-narrow frame that's on the taller side and not flat chested. The whole top of the dress was loose on me - even the 2 - so I think I am just too short for this one.

I loved wearing this dress. I'm typically a 2, so I rented both the P and the S - I ended up going with the P since it fit more snugly (almost like spanx!), but the S also fit well - just less tight in the chest area. The only slight drawback for shorter girls wearing this dress is that the lace on the back is a little longer/higher than where my shoulders and neck actually start - that said, it just made them appear a little looser in the back than in the front; no big deal. The lining of the dress did creep up a bit when I was walking, but otherwise everything stayed put without any fidgeting. The lace and color of the dress are really beautiful without being dowdy and the straps make it feel a bit more conservative even though it's meant to be a body-hugging fit.

I loved wearing this dress - the 2 fit beautifully (I'm usually a standard 2, so I'd say this definitely runs true-to-size) and the cut was very flattering. These earrings were beautiful - not too heavy, but with a high amount of sparkle and glamour. I wore them with a red one-shoulder dress, so they were perfect with no necklace. I would definitely wear them again for other weddings or more formal affairs. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that the metal looks to be more gold/shiny in the pictures - these were definitely more bronze/tarnished than the images, but it didn't take away from the sparkle of the stones.

Unfortunately, RTR was unable to send me my my original requested size for this dress (4) and made it up to me by sending 2 sizes of an alternate dress along with the size 6 of this one. I typically wear a size 2, but based on reviews saying the dress runs small, I sized up to a 4 for my initial order. Sadly, since I only got to try on the 6, it was loose and bulky rather than fitted and rouched. The dress has NO stretch to it whatsoever, so it needs to be skin-tight in order to look like it's properly fitted. I may try this dress again for a different event - its colors are beautiful.

I wore this to my friend's wedding and received many compliments on it. It's an extremely flattering fit - especially if you're more hourglass shaped. The blue color is beautiful and the red and pink flowers make it really easy to match with either red or pink accessories and the boning allowed me to get away without wearing an uncomfortable strapless bra. Since I'm shorter, the dress hit me just about an inch or two above my knees, so it wasn't quite as casual looking as on the tall model. I loved it!
