Glamming up for a Bridesmaid "Proposal" Brunch
Currently, I'm 5'0" and 145 lbs so petite is where I shop but this dress was a medium regular, so it was quite long even with 3 inch block heels. I needed a comfortable and cute dress to wear to a brunch my cousin invited a small group of women to and nothing in my closet fit the bill. I dislike buying dresses because I don't need them often nowadays (damn you coronavirus). After 2 c-sections there is a very noticeable demarcation where the incisions were made. Between that, knocking on 40's door, and the weight gain that comes with my slowing metabolism, I'm very self-conscious of how I look in certain "fitted" styles. I wouldn't call this dress form-fitting by any means, but it certainly does caress your curves enough to be noticeable. Honestly, aside from it being too long, I didn't dislike ANYTHING about it. What do I love about it? Just about everything else. The cute little peephole thingy at the midsection is subtly sexy feeling, almost like a dirty secret (but in a good way). The light, flowing material created such fantastic movement that I almost felt like I was walking in slow motion. And best of all, between the cut and the pattern, my little baby pooch wasn't visible at all! It made me feel so pretty, so graceful (i'm SO not graceful) and I would definitely rent it again. Hell, I may even try and buy it!

Flirty & classy at a scholarship program anniversary!
My body type: I'm 5'0", 145 lbs, and about 50% legs/50% torso. I carry extra weight around my waist after having 2 kids via c-section. This makes dresses look very different on me vs. the models. I wore this to a cocktail party for the 30th anniversary of the scholarship program he graduated from. This dress fit the bill. PROS: The lacy, woven part is *not* itchy in the slightest and this is something I usually struggle with because I have eczema. The zipper didn't stick at all, which is a big thing for me since I have to use shapewear and things are often snug in the midsection. The skirt was very short on the model but since I was wearing a L and I'm short, it hit me just above the knee. CONS: The top isn't made for people with shorter torsos. It could be because I was wearing a bigger size but if I were more talented, I would've have cinched the top by the shoulders (as shown in the 3rd picture). Overall, I'd definitely rent again and I would even buy if I managed to lose a little around the middle.

Glamourous in Gradient (aka Ombre)
There's something about glittery, form-fitting dresses that just draw me in. This is my 3rd time renting a similar style (the other 2 were sleeved: 3/4s and long) and I'm happy to say that this is another RTR success story. I wore it with a great strapless bra and Spanx to keep everything in its place all night. The sheath is surprisingly comfortable with zero itch-factor, considering I have pretty sensitive skin with eczema. The end of the dress hit me about mid-calf since I'm 5'0" but I was okay with that. The glitter didn't wasn't cheap feeling at all and is a testament to the quality of the garment. As per the norm, I needed help with the zipper but that's because I like to be locked up tight and fool people into thinking my torso isn't shaped like a square. Wish I had a better picture for you! Maybe once the professional photographer gets back to me I can get one up for y'all.

My Surprise 35th Birthday
I'm not usually prone to pick something so retro-feeling but I wanted to go out of my comfort zone, have room for post-dinner tummy, and still feel cute. I paired the dress with knee-high gray slouch boots and gray stockings since it was December in Washington, DC and quite cold. I liked this dress more than I thought I would. It's even better that I was wearing it when my family and friends surprised me for my birthday! I'm 5'0" so it actually hit me right at the knee, leaving only a couple inches between the bottom of the skirt and the top of my boot. I'm also a bit wider around the middle and loved that it stretched to fit me. It's a little colder for the winter but I imagine it would be great for a more casual fall outing since the color practically begs it. Looking back, I bet it's fantastic when paired with a warm cinnamon brown boot. I wish I had a better picture but I was quite busy recovering from the shock that they'd all pulled the wool over my eyes, lol.

I felt like a goddess and that doesn't happen -- EVER.
So, funny story. I forgot that I told my cousin I'd MC his wedding and ordered this dress thinking I'd be sitting down and tipsy all night, not standing for 5 hours in front of 200 people. When they reminded me, I thought to myself, "screw it, I'll get some fashion tape for roll with it." I'm *stupidly* glad I got that tape and kept the dress. I have a big tummy in relation to the rest of my body. I'm super self-conscious of it. I usually don't wear fitted dresses because of it but this one I couldn't pass up. Here's why I loved this dress: 1. The stunning cape - The only time I like drama is in my clothing. This didn't disappoint. I felt like a flowy goddess the whole night and totally forgot about my tummy worries. It draws the eye up and away and it was perfect for this event. 2. The color - Pink isn't usually my thing but when I do it I'm all in. She is more vivid in person. She's a happy medium between a pastel and bubble gum and I'm LIVING for her. 3. The material - I wore this on an 80 degree early September day in Washington, DC. It was thick enough where I felt like it kept me together but breathable enough where I wasn't sweating up a storm. 4. The neckline - What can I say? I want to flaunt them while I've got them. TIPS: -Fashion tape is your friend. Not the little strips, the roll. They sell it at Target for $12 I think. -I'm 5'0" and this bad boy was kind of high. You might consider wearing those cheerleading panties that are meant to be seen. -I had on Spanx. They kept Lolita (what I've named my tummy) in place all night. Get a friend to help you zip. Put her on. Feel like a goddess. Enjoy.

Eye-catching without being gaudy.
I wore them with the Peony Crepe Dress, which is a pretty bold choice. I like that the earrings were flashy without being gaudy and they were still eye-catching enough not to get overshadowed by the dress. They're not too heavy, which can be a problem with statement earrings. I loved that they are very neutral instead of being too warm or cold. I don't usually rent the same things more than once but I'd own these if they ever went on sale.

Gift For the Bestie
I rented this as a surprise for my best friend who had a class reunion coming up and had also been having a rough week. She's about 5'3, 130 lbs, and at the time was a 36 C since she was breastfeeding. She's always been hourglass shaped and is a little more leggy (maybe 3/5ths leg 2/5ths torso). As you can see, she looks great in the dress! The v-neck was a little deeper than I originally thought and I was afraid she wouldn't be comfortable in it but she ended up feeling very sexy and still classy in it. She says it was very comfortable to wear (nearly 8 hours of wear time) and hardly had to adjust through the night. She wasn't able to wear a bra but was able to wear the breast petals underneath. They were undetectable. Overall, a very good rental and it made her feel much better! Thanks, Rent The Runway, for helping me be a good friend!

It kept me together!
Having had 2 kids, I'm always very wary to rent dresses or wear clothing that is too fitted on my midsection. This dress didn't disappoint. It ran true to size and smoothed out any areas that I could've been self-conscious about. I should mention that I'm 5'00" so it was more to calf length for me but I also wore it with 4-inch heels so the difference wasn't so bad. I dont generally rent dresses more than once but I would certainly recommend this one!

Like wearing one big Spanx, but comfortable.
I'm a shorter, stouter gal since having my second child but I don't like to rely on billowy outfits to get dressed up. This dress was well-made and you can feel it. Some fitted dresses highlight all your little divots but this one smoothes you out, even moreso if you're wearing Spanx underneath as well. I would definitely wear this again given the chance.

A Modern Classic with Sass
The fabric is nice and thick, so I was able to wear it with a shawl to an outdoor wedding this Halloween weekend and still be comfortable. The color is a little more pink in real life but in the best way possible. It is a warm rose gold and it is stunning. I love classic styles with modern twists so the plunging neckline was a great touch for me. It definitely set me apart and I received tons of compliments on it. I only wish I had a picture, as I definitely forgot to get one on my camera! I don't have the most flattering figure but it was great how this helped me seem more shapely, but it is a pretty fitted dress so I had to size up. Consider that when renting!

Comfortable enough for a kids party!
I wore this while hosting my sons' 1st and 6th birthday party. I was walking and bending all night long and didn't feel constricted at all. Being short, I'm very hesitant to rent/buy dresses that aren't above my knee or a maxi -- it's almost never in between. This one was too pretty to pass up. The color is vivid and true to the picture. I didn't remember to take a picture of the dress until the very end of the night and the lighting made it look a bit weird, but trust me the color is great. It hit me right at the knees and I wore it most of the night with kitten heels. It's a big snug at the chest but very well fitted everywhere else. I did have a tiny bit of trouble with the zipper, but it wasn't anything my husband couldn't help me with. It was well-made; it is a great blend between durable and fashionable. It was heavy feeling but in a good way, if that makes any sense. I regret not reviewing it the next day so that I could remember more. The most important thing is that I loved wearing it, felt great in it, and really appreciated its versatility. I feel like I could've worn this to a nice dinner date or even a more casual wedding.

Pretty & Pregnant
I wore this for my 2nd baby shower & I was 7.5 months pregnant. Granted, it was a little snug but nothing I couldn't deal with. The picture looks like a cream color but in daylight it comes off as much more of a rose gold. It was flowy & gorgeous. Once I find a picture, I will certainly be sharing it! I don't know that I'd have an occasion like this to rent for again (I rent mostly to party & for weddings) but I loved it nonetheless.

Sometimes when you rent earrings you are unprepared for how heavy they feel, but with these you'll have no such surprise. They are light as they are classic and I enjoyed wearing them for my 32nd birthday/babymoon over this past weekend (11/28). My only regret is that I don't have a picture where the last droplet isn't covered!

Feeling glam at 32 and pregnant.
I rented and wore these bangles for my 32nd birthday dinner/baby moon this past Friday (11/28). Sure, you look at the picture and think, "Cool, a ton of awesome bracelets that are glam and girly!" but you don't realize just how many you get until they come in the mail. I was stoked! I had enough to split them up and wear on both arms, which I love. I'm 5'0" and a bit on the petite side, so my arms are shorter and wearing all of them on one arm would've just looked silly. Overall, I loved how well made they felt and it worked exactly with the "glittery" look I wanted to achieve.

The construction of the ring itself was very sturdy and if glam is what you want, by golly, that's what you'll get. The detail is lovely and the large faux pearl feels old Hollywood. I, however, cannot *possibly* wear it for my occasion as the only finger it fits on is my thumb and I intended for it to be on my middle finger, where it hangs loosely, at best. It's already nestled back in the box it came in. What a shame.

Feeling Sexy in SoCal
For the record, the full body picture doesn't do it justice. Between my being pleasantly buzzed and afflicted with horrendous food baby (buffet style wedding), I just couldn't take a decent picture! BUT DON'T let that stop you from renting this dress. I wore it to a spring wedding just north of LA in Oxnard, CA. It was beachside so there was plenty of sun and the perfect amount of breeze. // It's extremely well-made, with multiple layers, feels heavy on the hanger, and is somehow still very light. Pre-foodbaby, it cinched me in very well, but with a size 6 I needed help zipping it up. As a personal preference, I was wearing shapewear. My friends loved the feel and fit and couldn't wait to find out where I'd gotten it. // Downsides: if you are on the taller side this dress may show a little more than you'd like. Also, the sash definitely takes some figuring out. Make sure to practice with it before putting it on!

Instant Pizzazz!
The white background in the picture makes them look a bit darker than in real life. They are quite heavy but, for me at least, that's a sign of great craftsmanship and quality. I only put that they were larger than expected because I wasn't quite sure what in fact to expect. I thought that I might have to put my hair up for the wedding, as my black hair tends to swallow up earrings, but I was pleased to see that they could stand out on their own and even made my black hair look luxuriously darker and shinier. I don't know that I'll have the occasion to rent these again, but I love the SO much they will definitely somehow make a reappearance! I'm only sorry I didn't have a better picture!

I wore this to a garden late morning wedding this past weekend (Memorial Day in DC, PERFECT weather) and this was the first dress I'd worn from RTR. Don't mind the picture, as I forgot to adjust it properly before taking the picture. It looks MUCH better in person when properly fixed. I am a huge fan of the color, the form, and the movement of this dress. I'm not usually one to order a dress showing so much skin on my collarbone, as I have eczema and am very self conscious, but I paired it with a big statement necklace and felt just lovely. It breathes really well and paired well with the nude heels I changed into for the reception a couple hours later. I am definitely a fan of RTR due largely to this first experience!

Light on weight, big on glamour.
I wore these with the Prom Queen dress for a daytime wedding and they were about the size of a nickel. I feel like they were the perfect combination between elegance and casual. As a bonus, they were much lighter than I thought they'd be. Sometimes earrings can feel cumbersome but these weren't at all.

Super flattering & well made!
I have a far from perfect flabby tummy, so I hate wearing fitted things, even with shapewear. I can tend to feel rather boxy or less than elegant in formal wear but this dress had me feeling amazing all night! I got so many compliments, even from one of the most fashionable women I know, which gave me loads of confidence. I rented the 4 and the 6, though I probably should have tried to 8 since I have broader shoulders than most girls my height. My sister is thin, 5'2", and 110 lbs and the 4 was just a big loose on her. The 6 was definitely snug around my biceps (I used to lift weights regularly so my arms are a bit fuller) and it took a bit of help to get it zipped, but over all I feel like it fit extremely well. I don't normally wear things that hit below my knees but I paired the dress with a super high pair of shoes so it didn't shorten my leg line so much. Small warning: If the dress falls below your knees, make sure to take care while walking. It can be a *tad* restricting.
