Alrighty, I am giving you all the details bc I feel they are helpful. I'm about 230 and 5'7. I wear a 40 DD. I wore the 2x because it was more forgiving around my bottom- this made it baggie up top but perfect for the belly and butt. Now I'm 5'7 and it was short in the back. There was no bending over or crazy dancing but I still loved it and I think if you are 5'5 this would be perfect.

I wore a size 12 with no bra. It was then obviously loose up top above my chest/near the shoulders but it fit fine below around my waist. It kind of flared out at the bottom which was adorable. I received several compliments and wore it with the earrings pictured as well. I was really nervous about this being too dressy but it really was great. The sequin did rub under my arm just a bit and found myself posing how the model is a few times throughout the night. Overall, I was really happy with the dress!
