Nice Dress

It was a nice dress, but not my favorite of the bunch. Less lacy and more crochet - not a very light dress, but that's good for keeping any lumps and bumps from being super apparent.

Made Mom feel great!

Mom's first order with RTR. She recently changed sizes, and none of her regular dresses fit for a family wedding - so I ordered her a set of dresses! She felt beautiful and everyone said so also! <3 RTR. Sorry there's no photo - I didn't take pics at the wedding :-/

My aunt wanted to buy it for me, lol!!

Wore this to a family wedding. RTR was AWESOME with their customer service after my backup dress wasn't available and I came to my senses realizing that my "first choice" dress was a POOR CHOICE (on my part). Anyway, I found this dress, they sent it to me, it fit amazingly (I did wear spanx) and I got compliments all night. My family knew I rented it cause I also rented one for my mom (different dress, obviously) and one aunt asked me if RTR would sell me the used dress at a discount cause it looked so good!! Fit wise, the arms were snug, but not uncomfortable, the length was just right.

Woah baby - who's this shape?!?

I'm so glad that RTR had worked with me on this order, or I'd have been in BIG trouble. I couldn't get this to zip because it's so slim in the waist, but could pull the top to meet at the chest... however it was HANGING all over - I would NOT have filled it in with my c cups if I'd been able to zip it. This seemed more "barbie doll shaped" to me as a figure type: not overly large hips, teeny tiny waist and a big chest. I wore a 6 last week (although that dress "ran large) and I *might* have fit in a 10? but even that would have been TIGHT. Also, it looked more like linen than I expected. There was some "iridescence" to it.. a little shine? but when you looked at it it appeared "flat" - it's hard to describe. Not silk looking... not taffeta looking... Even if it had fit, I probably wouldn't have worn it.

Wore both dresses!! haha!

I don't fit well in dresses with waists. My waist is 2" higher than dresses allow for generally. My boobs tend to be also, so I generally go for dresses that I can easily cinch the straps up 2" on. I risked it this time, but it worked out. I started in the size 8, because it was a touch longer and not as snug. I wore that to the ceremony, and then between the ceremony and the party, my friend told me to try on the 6... which ended up making me feel much more confident, even if it was shorter. It wasn't easy to 'get down' at the wedding with such a short dress, but I'm fairly modest, and I survived! Note that I'm probably pretty pear shaped. I'd recommend this dress for more "straight and narrow" or even 'athletic" builds. It didn't hinder my hips, but I would have loved a belt with it. I was traveling, so.... no belt added on for me :) The high neckline made it so I didn't need a necklace - i went with long earrings instead, and the lace felt fancy enough. In fact, for this particular wedding, I was a little extra-dressed-up in my opinion!! (I could have gone with a nice maxi, lol)

ALWAYS happy with RTR. Another successful rental! Got lots of compliments!

I'm not sure exactly what I normally wear... I JUST fit into size 8 jeans yesterday, so I got the 8 and upon recommendations of how it looks better snugger, the size 6. I ended up wearing the 6 because it FELT better, but the 8 fit as well. The only problem was I could have used a little "tape" on the cowl because the dress wanted to twist (maybe I should have worn the 8? since I was a 10 a few weeks ago :-P) and my bra cup kept popping out, but I wore a dark, regular bra, and so it wasn't a HUGE deal. Definitely could have used a safety pin or some tape to stop pretending to be Janet Jackson ;). Felt gorgeous, got lots of complements (praised RTR to them ;-P) - I liked the bra-strap-clips... not only did it keep my bra straps from showing, but kept the shoulders on. I will say, after looking at the pictures again, I should have worn the 8... but it felt emotionally good to wear the 6 ;) The first bad-full-length-in-the-bedroom photo was the 8. The "night of" pics are the 6... still good, but less "wiggle room" and rouching :-P I had no problem with the length... it might have been considered a bit short (with the 6) and my heels, but as I said, I should have been less label-vain and worn the 8!
