I ordered this for my mother to wear for a black tie wedding we were attending. My mom always struggles with finding dresses that she feels comfortable in.. she usually wears dress slacks when she can get away with it. I talked her into giving this dress a try. She had a few "back ups" but ended up loving this dress! The larger sizes (14W and up) do not have the cutout in the back as the picture of the smaller size shows. The material itself is not very thick, but there was several layers of fabric and the beading actually gave the dress a nice weight. She felt confident and comfortable all night long. She paired it with black opaque tights, black shoes and pearls.

RTR sent me this as an emergency replacement after the dress I had reserved 2 months prior somehow became unavailable. I usually go between a size 4 and 6, so I was nervous that the 6 they sent me would be too big, but it actually fit perfectly. The color is more plum than it looks on the website, and the black lace panels are not see through when you put the dress on. I was pretty disappointed that I didn't receive the dress I had originally ordered, but I received a ton of compliments on this dress and it was very comfortable to dance in all night long. Gold jewelry and black heels/clutch go great with this.
