Classic and versatile but nothing special.
Very forgiving fit. Dress hit right at the knees which wasn't very flattering.

Lots of great reviews, but should be with caveats.
Dress is on the short side - in both the overall length and the torso. It also runs large, as the other reviews suggested. I am usually a 6/8 and the 4 was definetly the right size. I almost didn't wear the dress at all because of the overall fit. I am long in the torso and have long legs - this dress was not good for either. It flared too early for my hips, which resulted in excess fabric around my waist. In the end, I wore the size 4 with tights to help with the length (although I was adjusting most of the night), and it was snug enough overall that the torso excess fabric issue was less of a problem. Loved the thick material - and the cutout above the bust. A step up from your basic black dress.
