Great thick starchy material that was very flattering, beading detail was pretty. I didn't want to send it back! 

The dress is pretty true to size, and the fabric is thick enough that it doesn't cling, stays in place, and is warm enough to be wear without a wrap outside (60 degree weather).  The jeweled neckline adds a really nice touch - could be worn at a formal event and dressed up with super nice earrings, or at a cocktail or less formal party.  Loved this dress so much I rented it for another event the following week.  Ordered the 12 as a backup but it was a little loose around the opening in front.  Love it!

Fit beautifully! Lots of compliments and was comfortable all night long.

I have bigger shoulders and arms, so I went with the 8.  The six fit great also but the 8 was more comfortable in the upper body area.
Great dress, holds everything in.  Rode up a little when I walked but not too bad.
Loved the dress.  Wish I had it in my closet!


I wore this to an awards ceremony dinner (in the dead of winter) and it was definitely warm. More cleavage than I had hoped for, but I'm 32DD so that may have something to do with it. The arms take some getting used to, but the overall fit is very flattering. Highly recommend. 

Of all the dresses I've rented from RTR, this is my favorite!  This dress fit like a glove and stood out in a sea of little black dresses.  When the dress arrived it still had the original tags on it.  The collar is gorgeous and the juxtaposition of the white and black with the gold collar is very unique.  I didn't feel like I was showing much skin as the opening is pretty modest.  If you are a gal that likes to cover your arms this dress is for you.  I can't say enough great things about this dress!  So flattering--rent this dress!

Shoshanna has done it again! This dress fit like a glove and was perfectly tailored--the structure fit like a sheath, but did not cling like a body-con. The fabric had a stretch to it, which was great for moving around and sitting. The most striking feature of the dress was the top white area, which included an AMAZING embellished neck. Throughout the event, I got plenty of compliments and I never felt uncomfortable. 
I would definitely recommend for a holiday party, work event, etc. You'll feel like a modern Jackie O!

I ordered the size 10 and 8 for a formal affair.  The size 10 fit nicely, but at the shoulders was large, and made a slight "bulge" at the back of my neck (not cute!)  The 8 fit jussssst right, although if there existed a 9, it probably would have been perfect.  One minus was, I guess people have been pulling at the chest area (I read some people feared the exposure) so the lining was pulled out a little and would flip up if I wasn't looking.  Additionally, looks like someone stained the dress on the white sleeve, but RTR tried their darndest to remove it.  (Not entirely successful).  At this point, I had to choose between the bulge or the barely visible stain, so I went with the 8.  

The material is nicely stretchy and absolutely no need for smoothers or shapers, although if you do have a tummy, you'll probably pop out a little.  For curvy girls like me, it fit like a glove and this is actually a dress I wouldn't mind owning.

This dress was perfect for a wedding I was coordinating and also a guest at. I was looking for something appropriate for the occasion, something professional but a little bit sexy. I loved that this dress had sleeves since I usually revert to wearing some kind of sweater to cover my arms anyway! The cut out at the bust was just the right amount of cleavage and different from what anyone else was wearing. I also loved the "built-in" necklace and simple black and white combination. I received so many compliments throughout the night. The material of the dress is pretty thick and heavy (kinda like a wetsuit) which made it really flattering but also pretty warm at times. Highly recommended for a cool evening or winter event. 

This dress fit like a glove! The material is stretchy which made it incredibly comfortable!! I received a lot of compliments! The opening on the front was a little bigger than I thought! I did have to keep pulling at it but I am also not use to wearing something as revealing. All in all I loved the dress and would recommend any one to rent it!!

Very cute dress but did not fit.  It was too big.  This dress needs to be very fitted.

Perfect fit. A little low cut. Wore a cami underneath to make a bit more conservative for a Girl Scouts award dinner.

I wore this to an awards ceremony in NYC, the thickness of the dress made it perfect for December weather. Although it was very thick, it didn't have a bulky feel to it- and smoothed out any imperfections. My only regret is that I wish I had ordered a size down, the dress is made to be form fitting in a classy way, and I think a zero would have been better at achieving that effect. 

I love this dress!  The thicker material creates a great silhouette.  It is comfortable and fit perfectly.  I wore a black tank underneath to fill the chest cutout and make it appropriate for work.

The dress fit great!  The fabric was heavy enough to flatter my shape but not bulky. Not having to wear a necklace was a nice bonus! 

I've requested this dress for my Unlimited three times, so it's about time I purchase it already! This dress is so classy, so comfortable, and so very chic. It just makes you feel so perfectly put together. The fabric is thick and stretchy, so it smooths and shapes. The color contrast is very flattering to the silhouette and the embellishment along the collar is a perfect finish. Just love everything about this dress.

Loved this dress. Fabric felt expensive and the jeweled collar added an elegance without the worry of pairing jewelry. 

I have broad shoulders and the top was very snug. However, the fabric had a stretch and the black in the armpits made it difficult to tell it was a bit too tight. 




This dress was great! It was perfect for a late fall wedding.  The fabric was thick enough that I wasn't too cold, but didn't overheat on the dance floor.  It was also long enough to be appropriate for me (5'5" with long legs for my height). I wore spanx so I could eat to my hearts content, but the dress would be fine without them.  Also loved that I could wear a regular bra!  Some of the beading and rhinestones had fallen out from wear and tear, but it wasn't noticeable, especially with my hair down.

Chose this dress for a NYE party , as it had a nice thick fabric with a lot of stretch , longer sleeves and worked well with thick stockings . Also, works both with or without a bra .

I liked this dress a lot, especially how it showed a little sexiness at the top!  The beaded neckline was awesome - didn't have to worry about what jewelry to wear.  I actually wore this dress with tall black dressy boots, which looked adorable. It's pretty form-fitting, so I recommend ordering a size up for backup. 

I rented this dress as a "just in case" option but I'm really glad I ended up wearing it. The fabric was thick enough to help conceal any problem areas but I still wore tights because they pulled together the look I was going for. I really loved the cutout - not too revealing at all. The dress hit just above my knee, but I wish it were a couple inches shorter. I'd definitely rent again if there was a petite fit. Also, my shoulders weren't quite broad enough for the top part to stay put when I moved my arms, so I was adjusting pretty frequently. The beading around the collar was pretty but my hair kept getting caught on the back. Overall, very happy with this rental!

The fit was true to size and the stretchy material made this dress very fun to dance in.  You have to be careful not to slouch or the opening above the chest will open up too much!  Very sleek look!

This dress was a hit. The fabric is on the thicker side so it hugs your curves but doesn't show everything. The seam at the top of the black dress did keep coming up, so I had to iron it to keep it down. I wore this to a work event, so I had to be mindful that the area in the chest didn't open too wide. I definitely would wear this again.

Great over all fit, the shoulders were just all little small. Bad the sleeves bulk up a bit. 

I wore this to an art museum fundraiser.  I picked this dress because I wanted something "fun yet professional" and it fit that to a T. The dress matched the event's color scheme perfectly! The intricate jeweled neckline is a fantastic feature but unfortunately one of the stones was missing (not noticeable unless you were looking for it). I received TONS of compliments -- you will love this elegantly unique dress! 

I wore this dress to an awards dinner for work. I had ordered sizes 8 & 10. The 10 had some issues: beading coming undone and the clasps kept catching my hair, and the vest was really loose (I have skinny arms)
I wore the 8 which you can see was a bit tight but overall looked classy. Loved it!

Great dress, nice thick fabric. VERY form fitting - I often wear a 2 in Rent the Runway dresses but this one was snug in a 4. Fabric is strechy so somewhat forgiving, but the overall fit is close to the body. Very comfortable to wear - fine for dancing, never wrinkled when sitting, etc. Good mid-thigh length that was fun but not too short.

I loved the material and quality of this dress, it felt so substantial and structured.  The only thing I would note is that the arms were a little on the tighter side.  

Perfect length for a cocktail party (I wore for a wedding rehearsal dinner). Right about of sexy with the chest slit. I loved the stretch of this dress so much. I have larger arms so I like sleeves, this didn't pull or anything and was really slimming for the entire body of the dress. The jewels take on this dark brown/gray/black tone which go with pretty much everything, great for the holidays.  Lots of compliments! Flattering and fun on a night I was not very excited about getting dressed up (holiday weight...you know how it is). 

The dress perfect for a professional event. Just the right amount of sexy with a ton of class. I paired it with gold heels and chunky gold earnings. This dress was very comfortable and true to size. You can wear a regular bra but I recommend a square neck line bra so the sides do not show. I'm 5'2 and this dress hit me just above the knee, which we perfect for work. I will definitely rent this dress again!

It fit very comfortable. The fabric is a little thicker so it smoothed out any extra bumps. I'm an A cup but the peek-a-boo made me look much larger!  

I'm not a fan of my arms (RTR needs more dresses with sleeves!!!!) and had to do a work presentation for about 500 people .... This dress nailed it!!! Of course the black is super slimming and Shoshanna fits curvy girls like a glove!!!!

Beautiful dress! The cut, color and embellishments are wonderful. It is simple enough to be worn in a conservative setting, but vibrant enough to be worn for a special event as well. HERE's the downside...this dress is not for anyone tall! For starters, there is no back kick vent. Without this you have a smidge of an issue going up and down stairs. The cut of the dress although unique, does not sit well on someone over 5'11 and/or a lady with some hips or booty. I am 6ft tall and this dress hit me an inch above mid thigh! Not even close to being able to make this work, even with tights. The fabric is thick and sturdy, so although form fitting, you still look smooth and classy. I'd love to wear this dress for work events or outings, but was not able to due to the short hem. I did not end up wearing this, but if I had, I would've had to size up. My normal size 6 was far too tight and the 8, although better offered no additional length.
