Comfortable & Sparkly
For my 30th birthday, I hosted a dinner party at home for some of my closest friends. I wanted something is a sturdy fabric, a-line (for all the eating!), and comfortable to cook in, as well as festive & sparkly. This did the trick! It's poofy on the lower half and the straps are long as other reviewers noted, but it wasn't such a problem for me. The bodice was tight enough that I didn't bother with a bra, either. Great dress for a new decade!

A perfect balance!
Something went wrong with my original order, so I picked this up in the Flatiron store as a replacement. And I think this was even better than my original dress! Form-fitting but comfortable, cut generously in the hips for a sheath dress. The perfect balance between an LBD and something special, sexy but covered up, unique but not too flashy for a wedding guest. Loved it!

Tea Party Perfect
Perfect dress for my bridal shower tea party. I went for a "1950s Better Homes & Gardens" look, so I accessorized with pearls. The fit was a little big on top, and I wish I'd had a different bra, but c'est la vie. The dress also had a little wear-and-tear on the seams, but nothing so noticeable that it made unwearable. Very comfortable! Glad I already owned the perfect pumps to complete the look. Lots of compliments.

Pretty but dowdy on me
I got this as my backup. It's a beautiful dress that would be more beautiful on a taller woman. I wanted something like a Downton Abbey Garden Party, but it felt a little more prairie on me. I was swallowed by the dress. The hips were cut a little narrow for me and the top was very blousey--so the proportions were a bit backwards for my body shape. The fabric was gorgeous & in great condition. But didn't end up wearing.

Sexy & Sophisticated
Wore this for a big fat Greek wedding in New Jersey. The black lace back dress was the right balance between the Orthodox church & huge, over the top reception. The top fit great on my smaller chest, and the bottom was cut large enough for my...pear...bottom. I wish it were a few inches shorter which would have been a touch more sophisticated, but all in all I was very happy.

Not for pears!
Lovely dress, not for my body shape. I rented a 4R to accommodate my hips, but the top was way too large, and the hips were still snug. Great for busty women or athletic builds. Good thing it was my backup!
