I read the reviews hoping for the best since I would be wearing this dress less than a month after having my baby. I was about 140 lbs when I wore this dress versus my 120 pre-pregnancy. I wore size 2 or 4 pre-pregnancy so I ended up ordering a 2 and 4 for my friend's wedding. The 4 was a petite and the 2 was a regular. I tried both on and did not see any difference in length and the tag on the dress did not indicate petite so I'm not sure a petite version exists. Either way, both were a little too long even with heels on. I have a much larger bust post-pregnancy and the top of the dress was a little loose. I was able to fill out the front but the back was baggy looking.

I have rented multiple Herve's from RTR in the past and have always worn a size small. This small seemed TOO small this time. Unfortunately, the medium was so big with the way the dress was cut that I was stuck in the small for the evening. I almost considered not wearing it but decided to suck it up (and in)!

I've had my eye on this dress for several months but needed something to wear it to. Luckily, my boyfriend's cousin's wedding came around! The only issue with the dress/order was that only a small was available. (I usually rent a small and a medium when I get Herve. I've always worn the small in the past.) It was a little tighter that I would have liked this time but it was better with pantyhose on. This dress is more on the sexy side so definitely keep this in mind for where you decide to wear it to. My boyfriend and I were a little overdressed for this particular wedding but I would say it's okay for most occasions.

Because of Hurricane Sandy, Rent the Runway was unable to send me the dress I originally ordered. They upgraded my order and sent me this dress instead. I was a little skeptical, but was very surprised and happy when this dress ended up working out perfectly! The color is a lot deeper than what is pictured in the photo and it is not as "scandalous" looking as I had thought it would be.

I got a lot of compliments on this dress! I rented a 4 and a 6, but ended up wearing the 6 because the 4 was a little tight in the bust. The only thing that was a little tricky about this dress was the lace - it was a little worn when I received the dresses and I had to be very, very careful not to hook anything on it all night.
