So many compliments
Fit perfectly! Only thing to note is that it runs very long - this was a 16R and I was wearing flats (I’m 5’9) and it dragged on the ground. But other than that it was so much fun to wear! So flattering, especially as I’m a few months postpartum and my body isn’t what it used to be.

Perfect for postpartum work gala!
Was nice and loose, which was a huge plus as I needed to insert my Elvie breast pumps during my work event. Was perfect and loose enough for my postpartum body but also very dressy and flattering. It was a tad bit long as I was wearing flats and it dragged on the floor a bit, but at 5’9 most of the L dresses are hit or miss length wise so I’m used to that!

Fit was great, no spanx required. I'm 5'9 and had flats on and it barely touched the ground so tall girls beware. Can't wear a bra with it so I used a few safety pins to tighten things up. It's definitely revealing between the low cut top and slit but I figured why not embrace it, especially after all the compliments I got!

Great casual work dress
I rented this and one other for an outdoor summer work event. This one was a bit too casual but was perfect for just a regular work day. Loved how it fit and would totally own it if I had a chance!

Fit great and made me feel very pretty considering I had recently gained some weight and was unsure of sizing. Didn't need a bra - had built in support. The back seems like it wouldn't hold everything together all night but it sure did! Very good quality!

Perfect Bridal Shower dress!
This dress was so flattering! The ruffles and cut were perfect to hide those extra pounds and the flowy sleeves gave the dress an extra pop. The other reviews are right about the straps being very loose - we used a safety pin in the back to tighten them up and show less cleavage (I mean, it was a brunch bridal shower...none of my mom's friends want to see that, hah). At 5'9 the maxi length was good, I wore flats and it hit right below my ankle. I got so many compliments and I know it wasn't just because I was the bride. Highly recommend this dress!

Fun Bachelorette Option
Was a fun dress to wear for our "classy" night out during my bachelorette. Being a pro member has its perks - this was the third dress the sent to me, free shipping and return! First option didn't fit, second option did nothing for me, and this one did the trick! I was debating between the 16 and 14 and settled on the 14 because it allowed me to go out without having to safety pin the ladies together. The 16 was just too loose around the boobs and I'm a 36D.

Little on the short side but perfect for a work event!
I'm 5'9 and wore flats with this dress - it was a bit on the short side where I would not have been comfortable wearing it without dark tights. But other than that it fit great and was perfect for my work event!

Beautiful dress, should have sized down!
Loved the dress but had to pin behind the neck and at the zipper because it was too big. I'm currently in between 16/18 for rent the runway dresses so I sized up since it looked form fitting and it being a NYE wedding (didn't want to stress about the fit during the holidays). I did receive multiple compliments, but was a little disheartened to see a few other girls with similar style black dresses. I didnt realize how popular this design was going to be! Length was great for me - I'm 5'9 and waa wearing flats.

Big and boxy
It's a beautiful dress but unfortunately did not fit right on my frame. I found it to be too big and boxy and did not give me any shape. If it was fitted more at the waist it would have been beautiful!

Classic black dress
It fit well and I was able to wear flats with the R length. It was a perfect black dress. I don't think it made me stand out or anything (maybe that's why I didn't give it a perfect 5) but it was very flattering. Would recommend!

Took a chance on an outside the box pick and didn't regret it!
I ordered two dresses for this wedding weekend - this one was going to be for the 'welcome cocktail reception.' Unfortunately the dress I ordered for the wedding didn't fit right so I went with this one and did a regular maxi dress I owed for the night before. I'm so glad I ordered this dress, even though it's a style I've never tried before. I can't tell you the number of compliments I received! I had ordered the 16 and the 18 for backup - both fit...but the 16 was a bit tight and the 18 was a bit too loose. I decided to go with the 18 - there was good boning in the dress that made me comfortable/secure in the 18 even though it was big. Highly recommend!!

Amazing color!
Loved this dress, and it was my backup! I originally had the red version in R and L (I'm 5'9 and was planning on wearing flat sandals) and the red L was damaged so they sent me the blue L for backup. The red R fit fine and the length was perfect, but the blue just was the better choice. The L hit the ground, which I didn't mind, it didn't drag too much. The fabric was thick but not too think for a Florida April wedding!

Perfect for a crazy work day!
This was my backup dress and it fit perfectly. I had casual work events during the day and paired it with a fitted jean jacket and flats. Had a high end work reception that night and was able to go to work with the dress as is with a pair of heels. The pockets came in clutch since I had my phone and business cards handy. Ended up talking to a few women that went to school with the founders of RTR and was very proud to tell them (and show them) about my very positive experiences with the company!

I wanted this dress to work so bad. Love a good shift dress. But unfortunately it was far too big and I looked like a blue nun, hah. I was swimming in it. Maybe if I went down a size it would have looked better?

Tons of compliments, issues with zipper and how low cut it was
It takes a village...to zip up this dress. My boyfriend quit on me and my houseguests ended up getting the zipper up. The fit was great, but that zipper was hell, haha! The only other issues was just how low cut it was. After 3 safety pins and double sided tape I was able to get it to a place I was comfortable with cleavage wise. Other than those pesky issues, the dress was a hit. The number of compliments I received made all the pre-work worth it! And it was so flattering - I sadly didn't take any good pictures of the dress alone to do it justice!

Received so many compliments!
So sad I don't have a full length photo to show it off, but RTR came through again! Dress zipped up so easily (feel like that's something that usually is the issue with RTR dresses) and fit like a glove. I didn't wear a bra (which wasn't an issue even with my size) but I was able to wear spanx that you couldn't see even with the low back. The sequins didn't scratch at all and it was super comfortable!

Too tight in the bust/ribs
Sadly this dress wasn't a good fit on me. I blame myself since I took a chance on this type of fit. The cut of this dress made me look pregnant the way it puffed out. I had no issues zipping it up until it hit my ribs. I should have listened to the reviews that said this dress is tight in the ribcage and has no give. That being said - the customer service was AMAZING! I called and spoke with a stylist around 5pm ET on Friday night and she walked me through every possible dress that was still available for rent. We went through the reviews together, she asked other stylists for their opinion on the final 3 we picked out and they shipped it free to the hotel for a noon arrival. Even though the dress wasn't a good fit the company is.

I didn't want to take this dress off!
This was my backup dress that the stylist recommended for me. The dress I had ordered was a bit too short so I'm glad I reached out to get the extra option. It fit perfectly and was so comfortable and light for an August outdoor wedding. I got so many compliments and didn't want to take it off. I'm 5'9 and wore flip flops and it was a bit long - you can see there is some permanent stains at the bottom from the length but I didn't care at all and no one could have noticed that but me.

Winter wedding - received lots of compliments!
Loved this dress, just had a few nerve-wracking moments leading up to wearing it! The dress ran small and I couldn't get the zipper up and thought I was going to break it. Luckily a friend came over and let me know that the zipper was catching - with her help we were able to zip it up. After that dress rehearsal I decided to keep it and day of the wedding walked my boyfriend through how to zip it up without breaking it. The only other thing was that the stitching was a bit worn down but no one could have noticed that unless they were inspecting the dress up close. I received a lot of compliments and it was a scary yet good first experience with rent the runway. Would definitely rent again!
