I rented this for an evening resort party while on vacation. I wanted the medium but was glad it was unavailable because the small fit perfectly and the top would have been too poofy on the M. I have worn this with sandals and a cross-body to be more casual, but if you had the right accessories and shoes can also work for going out/club/dance night. Shoulders were not an issue staying down which is a plus. For my body type I do wish that it was less of a drop-waist but wasn't so bad as to deter me!

I absolutely loved this romper! But don't be fooled by the pic-it wasn't zipped at the back and I was unable to wear it. So sad! I rented it with birthday credit so wasn't in dire need of anything but went for it since we were leaving on a long weekend beach vacation for my birthday. My regular size of 6 was not available, but since it was credit I decided to try the 4 anyways. I could have maybe pulled it off had it not been for the zipper at the back at the largest part of your rib cage just wasn't going to go up. I never expected to love this romper as much as I did-the color, pockets, cuteness. I have decided to rent this in my regular size 6 for an event in August. So although his did not fit, my normal size would have been perfectly TTS. Bra not necessary if you are not well endowed.

I was surprised at how much i liked it right out of the bag and with no tweaking or alterations. Very comfortable, stretchy fabric, yet still holds you in a bit. I rented this for a funeral and i think it was a great choice. There is really no way around not wearing a cami or something underneath (FYI). It was about two inches to long on my 5'1 height. I am ususlly a Medium and the small fit better in this. Would rent again for a conservative or work event. Fedex delivered my package to the wrong house, and customer service was wonderful and quickly able to track down details and I then went next door where my dress was still on the neighbors front stoop!

This dress completely surpassed my expectations. I ordered for a cocktail affair at our country club in June. To start- I was a bit smaller when i ordered the dress as I am now about 12 weeks pregnant (and in secret) in the photo/ event time. and about 140 lbs. I ordered a 4 and 6, thankfully the 6 fit. Given the choice I probably would have preferred an 8. It quite hid problem pooch areas and was so cute and flattering. I loved the neckline, length, sleeve and color! I thought that my husband/ guys in general would not like the girlie ness of the dress, but in no exaggeration, I have never received so many compliments from men and women. It really stood out from the typical sea of black & white this season. I did neutral makeup & shoes and simple hair/accessories to let the dress take focus.

This was my backup and I did not like it. It is a very pretty dress, perfect length (I am 5'1), but not the most flattering for my figure. Although it us roomy below the waist line, I felt as though it highlighted my stomach/pooch problem area and kind of poofed out at the belly. I am 140 and about a size 6 and the 6 in this dress fit spot on. Pockets were cute but they were positioned weird kind of too far back.

RTR should be ashamed of calling this item a “dress” when at best, it is a tunic. I am by no means prudish, and am all for showing off one body part (which if given the choice it would be my legs), but unless you are under 25 and either in Vegas or ‘clubbing it up,’ this is not the dress for you. I thought that since I am only 5’1 along with the longer sleeve, it would tone down the minimal length, but no such luck. I whipped this dress off as quick as I put it on, as it just covered by rear and hits on the widest part of your thigh. The sizing is true I suppose, I could probably have squeezed into the smaller size 2, but it would not have been flattering. I also think that it looked on the cheap side. Thankfully I used my backup dress.

I really wanted the similar “Spread Like Wildfire” version but they no longer carry a size 4 in that style so I opted to try this variation as my backup. I ended up wearing this one but it was just okay (not amazing). The size is true but as other reviews mentioned- the top portion above the belt is just too boxy (would fit those gals more blessed then I in the chest department). I do like that the dress is forgiving in that there are no spanx required and the gauzy layers hide any problem areas and very comfortable! It was a nice pop of color in an otherwise sea of black (and turns out too casual for my event). Overall I would say stick to your normal size as the fabric does not give (I might have been able to squeeze into the size 2 but it would have been tight). But dress aside, RTR is amazing and the customer service is great. I called the night before (9pm) my order was sheduled to ship and the associate was so eager to help quickly swap-out one of my dress choices and offer feedback on certain options!

It looks great on the model and most reviewers, but unfortunately did not work on my body type. I am petite but short and my midsection is a problem area (I thought that this dress could highlight my legs) but it was just unflattering. I wish that I thought to take a picture, but I ended up belting it with a wide neutral belt & neutral heels. (I would not have worn to my event, but last minute could not find a suitable alternative). I am a 4 in clothing and ended up wearing the 2 in this dress (although there was not much difference between the size 2 and the size 0- I did not even order the 4 due to the reviews on this dress running large). I did not love the dress (but I did get allot of attention and complements on it). I wore it to a holiday party at our country club and I liked that it was a LBD but with some kick! I think that it would be better on a taller person though (I am 5'1 and about 115lbs) and I wore the size XS slip and S dress (and being unblessed in the chest region I had to use some creative taping/pinning) and 'suck in' all night long seeing as it is such a form fitting number.

I am SO glad that I decided to rent this at the last minute- it was perfect for my country club cocktail party. The color was so vibrant, the fabric was dressy, and it was just young-enough while remaining polished. It does fit strange though (the other reviews are not exaggerating). I am 5'1, 110lbs, size 0-2 or XS and I ended up wearing my backup size 4 (the 2 would not even squeeze close to on). And I had to wear my Victoria's Secret 'Miracle' bra as well as cinch the shoulders to make the top not too loose. But once it was on and set it was FABULOUS and I got a TON of complements. THANK YOU SO MUCH RTR!!!!

I panicked at the last minute (Tuesday) thinking that I had nothing to wear to my country club 'pool' cocktail party (Thursday) and thought that this could work nicely- cute, not too dressy but not too casual either. It was so perfect and I felt so pretty in it and got a TON of complements. The fit was good for me except for the straps a bit loose and at 5'1, if it were my dress I would have liked it hemmed up a couple of inches. But I was pleasantly surprised at how overall flattering it was- the color was so rich and it just laid well (hitting at the natural waist and a very slight A).

I didn't mind this dress, it was very different and you would be sure to stand out, but I returned because my husband hated it and thought that it looked like a dress meant more for clubbing (than our formal party). It was SO slimming though with the black cinched belt.
